The prodigious advancements in contemporary technologies have also brought in the situation of unprecedented ***,the pin-based security system is an inadequate mechanism for handling such a *** reason is that hackers use multiple strategies for evading security systems and thereby gaining access to private *** research proposes to deploy diverse approaches for authenticating and securing a connection amongst two devices/gadgets via sound,thereby disregarding the pins’manual ***,the results demonstrate that the proposed approaches outperform conventional pin-based authentication or QR authentication ***,a random signal is encrypted,and then it is transformed into a wave file,after which it gets transmitted in a short burst via the device’s ***,the other device/gadget captures these audio bursts through its microphone and decrypts the audio signal for getting the essential data for ***,this model requires two devices/gadgets with speakers and a microphone,and no extra hardware such as a camera,for reading the QR code is *** first module is tested with realtime data and generates high scores for the widely accepted accuracy metrics,including precision,Recall,F1 score,entropy,and mutual information(mI).Additionally,this work also proposes a module helps in a secured transmission of sensitive data by encrypting it over images and other *** steganographic module includes two-stage encryption with two different encryption algorithms to transmit data by embedding inside a *** encryption algorithms and their combinations are taken for this system to compare the resultant file *** these systems engender high accuracies and provide secure connectivity,leading to a sustainable communication ecosystem.

The Internet of Things(IoT)and related applications have witnessed enormous growth since its *** diversity of connecting devices and relevant applications have enabled the use of IoT devices in every *** the applicability of these applications are predominant,battery life remains to be a major challenge for IoT devices,wherein unreliability and shortened life would make an IoT application completely *** this work,an optimized deep neural networks based model is used to predict the battery life of the IoT *** present study uses the Chicago Park Beach dataset collected from the publicly available data repository for the experimentation of the proposed *** dataset is pre-processed using the attribute mean technique eliminating the missing values and then One-Hot encoding technique is implemented to convert it to numerical *** processed data is normalized using the Standard Scaler *** Flame Optimization(mFO)Algorithm is then implemented for selecting the optimal features in the *** optimal features are finally fed into the DNN model and the results generated are evaluated against the stateof-the-art models,which justify the superiority of the proposed mFO-DNN model.

PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF PVA BASED SOLID POLYmER ELECTROLYTES FOR ELECTROCHEmICAL CELL APPLICATIONS

Solid polymer electrolyte films containing poly（vinyl alcohol）（PVA） and magnesium nitrate （mg（NO3）2） were prepared by solution casting technique and characterized by using XRD, FTIR, DSC and AC impedance spectroscopic analysis. The amorphous nature of the polymer electrolyte films has been confirmed by XRD. The complex formation between PVA and mg salt has been confirmed by FTIR. The glass transition temperature decreases with increasing the mg salt concentration. The AC impedance studies are performed to evaluate the ionic conductivity of the polymer electrolyte films in the range of 303-383 K, and the temperature dependence seems to obey the Arrhenius behavior. Transport number measurements show that the charge transport is mainly due to ions. Electrochemical cell of configuration mg/（PVA ＋ mg（NO3）2）（70：30）/（12 ＋ C ＋ electrolyte） has been fabricated. The discharge characteristics of the cell were studied for a constant load of 100 kΩ.

The effect of pH on stability and thermal performance of graphene oxide and copper oxide hybrid nanofluids for heat transfer applications:Application of novel machine learning technique

This paper investigates the effects of pH on stability and thermal properties of copper oxide(CuO),graphene oxide(GO),and their hybrid nanofluid(HNF)at different mixing ***,sol-gel and Hummer’s method was employed for the synthesis of CuO and GO nanoparticles(NPs),and they are characterized with various *** effects of two different surfactants were analyzed on nanofluid’s(NF’s)stability at different pH *** properties like thermal conductivity(TC)and viscosity(VST)of NFs were measured at different volume concentration(0.1 vol%to 1.0 vol%)and temperature range of 30-60℃,*** TC and VST of GO/CuO(50:50)HNF are higher than that of GO/CuO(20:80).The figure of merit(FOm)is determined for the studied *** correlations were presented to calculate the TC as well as VST of *** modern novel machine learning-based ensemble approaches were employed for predictive model development for TC and VST of considered *** comparison of prognostic models with Taylor’s diagram revealed that Bayesian optimized support vector machine(BoASVm)was superior to Bayesian optimized boosted regression trees(BoA-BRT)for both TC and VST models.

Pragmatic multi-stage simulated annealing for optimal placement of synchrophasor measurement units in smart power grids

Conventional power grids across the globe are reforming to smart power grids with cutting edge technologies in real time monitoring and control methods. Advanced real time monitoring is facilitated by incorpor- ating synchrophasor measurement units such as phasor measurement units （PmUs） to the power grid monitoring system. Several physical and economic constraints limit the deployment of PmUs in smart power grids. This paper proposes a pragmatic multi-stage simulated annealing （PmSSA） methodology for finding the optimal locations in the smart power grid for installing PmUs in conjunction with existing conventional measurement units （CmUs） to achieve a complete observability of the grid. The proposed PmSSA is much faster than the conventional simulated annealing （SA） approach as it utilizes controlled uphill and downhill movements during various stages of optimiza- tion. moreover, the method of integrating practical phasor measurement unit （PmU） placement conditions like PmU channel limits and redundant placement can be easily handled. The efficacy of the proposed methodology has been validated through simulation studies in IEEE standard bus systems and practical regional Indian power grids.

Linking basin-scale hydrology with climatic parameters in western Himalaya:Application of satellite data,temperature index modelling and in-situ observations

Due to limited spatial and temporal in-situ runoff data availability,Himalaya-Karakoram(HK)glaciohydrology has a significant knowledge gap between large-scale and small-scale runoff modelling *** study reconstructs longest basin-wide runoff series in Chandra-Bhaga Basin by applying a high-resolution glaciohydrological model SPHY(Spatial Processes in Hydrology)over 1950–***-tier model calibration is done using in-situ basin-wide runoff(1973–2006)and mODIS snow cover(2003–2018).model validation is done against in-situ Chhota Shigri Glacier catchment-wide runoff(2010–2015).The modelled mean annual basin-wide runoff is 60.21±6.17 m^(3)/s over 1950–2022,with maximum runoff in summer-monsoon months,peaking in July(182.69 m^(3)/s).Glacier runoff(ice melt+snowmelt over glacier)contributes maximum(39%)followed by equal contributions from snowmelt runoff from non-glacierized basin area and baseflow(25%),while rainfall-runoff contributes minimum(11%)to total *** is a significant volumetric increase by∼7%from pre-(59.17 m^(3)/s)to post-2000(63.47 m^(3)/s)mainly because of early onset of snowmelt post-2000 that resulted in a hydrograph shift by∼25 days earlier in *** glacier runoff is overestimated by 3%from RGI 7.0 inventory compared to different manually delineated inventories over 1950–2022,because of higher glacierized area from RGI *** precipitation shows a negative trend,but total runoff shows a positive trend due to positive trend of temperature that resulted in more glacier runoff and rainfall-runoff for basin over last 72 ***-wide runoff is mainly governed by summer temperature which directly controls the amount of glacier and snowmelt runoffs and is supported by summer *** study highlights importance of basin-scale model calibration with in-situ data in large scale studies and stresses the need for in-situ observations in high-altitude Himalayan ***-scale calibrated model parameters are transferable to glacie

Intelligent optimization of renewable resource mixes incorporating the effect of fuel risk, fuel cost and CO2 emission

Power system planning is a capital intensive investment-decision problem. The majority of the conven- tional planning conducted since the last half a century has been based on the least cost approach, keeping in view the optimization of cost and reliability of power supply. Recently, renewable energy sources have found a niche in power system planning owing to concerns arising from fast depletion of fossil fuels, fuel price volatility as well as global climatic changes. Thus, power system planning is under-going a paradigm shift to incorporate such recent technologies. This paper assesses the impact of renewable sources using the portfolio theory to incorporate the effects of fuel price volatility as well as CO2 emissions. An optimization framework using a robust multi-objective evolutionary algorithm, namely NSGA-II, is developed to obtain Pareto optimal solutions. The performance of the proposed approach is assessed and illustrated using the Indian power system considering real-time design prac- tices. The case study for Indian power system validates the efficacy of the proposed methodology as developing countries are also increasing the investment in green energy to increase awareness about clean energy technologies.
