Immunotherapy remains more effective for hematologic tumors than for solid *** of the main challenges to immunotherapy of solid tumors is the immunosuppressive microenvironment these tumors generate,which limits the cytotoxic capabilities of immune effector cells(e.g.,cytotoxic T and natural killer cells).This microenvironment is characterized by hypoxia,nutrient starvation,accumulated waste products,and acidic ***-hijacked cells,such as fibroblasts,macrophages,and T regulatory cells,also contribute to this inhospitable microenvironment for immune cells by secreting immunosuppressive cytokines that suppress the antitumor immune response and lead to immune ***,there is a strong interest in developing new drugs and cell formulations that modulate the tumor microenvironment and reduce tumor cell immune *** systems(mPSs)are versatile tools that may accelerate the development and evaluation of these therapies,although specific examples showcasing the potential of mPSs remain *** in microtechnologies have led to the development of sophisticated microfluidic devices used to recapitulate tumor *** resulting models,also known as microphysiological systems(mPSs),are versatile tools with which to decipher the molecular mechanisms driving immune cell antitumor cytotoxicity,immune cell exhaustion,and immune cell exclusion and to evaluate new targeted ***,we review existing microphysiological platforms to study immuno-oncological applications and discuss challenges and opportunities in the field.

We study the leader-following consensus stability and stabilization of networked multi-teleoperator systems with interval time-varying communication delays. With the construction of a suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and the utilization of the reciprocally convex approach, novel delay-dependent consensus stability and stabilization conditions for the systems are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which can easily be solved by various effective optimization algorithms. One illustrative example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

A series of（90–x）Li2B4O7-10Nb2O5-xNd2O3 glass samples（x=0, 5 mol.%, 10 mol.%, 15 mol.%, 20 mol.% and 25 mol.%） were synthesized using melt quenching technique. X-ray diffraction（XRD）, differential thermal analyzer（DTA）, Fourier transformed infrared（FTIR）, ultraviolet-visible-near-infrared（UV-Vis-NIR） spectrometer and photoluminescence（PL） spectroscopic characterizations were made to examine the influence of Nd3＋ concentration on the physical, structural and optical properties. Various physical properties such as glasses density, molar volume, thermal stability, ion concentration, polar on radius, inter-nuclear distance, field strength, cut-off wavelength, energy band gap and Urbach energy were calculated. The samples were amorphous in nature and confirmed from XRD pattern. The FTIR spectra revealed the presence of BO3 and BO4 functional groups. UV-Vis-NIR spectra exhibited nine prominent bands centered at 353, 430, 475, 524, 583, 681, 745, 803, 875 nm corresponding to the transitions from the ground state to ^4D（3/2）, ^2P（1/2）, ^2G（9/2）, ^4G（7/2）, ^4G（5/2）, ^4F（9/2）, ^4F（7/2）, ^4F（5/2）, ^4F（3/2） excited states, respectively. moreover, the emission spectra at 355 nm excitation displayed three peaks centered at 903 nm（^4F（3/2）→^4I（9/2））, 1059 nm（^4F（3/2）→^4I（11/2）） and 1333 nm（^4F（3/2）→^4I（13/2））, respectively. Fluorescence lifetime was recorded between 53.69 to 28.43 μs. It was found that varying concentration of Nd^（3＋） ions strongly affected the physical, structural and optical properties of the glass samples.

Three long-term field trials in humid regions of Canada and the USA were used to evaluate the influence of soil depth and sample numbers on soil organic carbon (SOC) sequestration in no-tillage (NT) and moldboard plow (mP) corn (Zea mays L.) and soybean (Glycine max L.) production systems. The first trial was conducted on a maryhill silt loam (Typic Hapludalf) at Elora, Ontario, Canada, the second on a Brookston clay loam (Typic Argiaquoll) at Woodslee, Ontario, Canada, and the third on a Thorp silt loam (Argiaquic Argialboll) at Urbana, Illinois, USA. No-tillage led to significantly higher SOC concentrations in the top 5 cm compared to mP at all 3 sites. However, NT resulted in significantly lower SOC in sub-surface soils as compared to mP at Woodslee (10-20 cm, P = 0.01) and Urbana (20-30 cm, P more SOC storage than mP at the Elora site (3.3 mg C ha-1) and at the Woodslee site (6.2 mg C ha-1) on an equivalent mass basis (1350 mg ha-1 soil equivalent mass). Similarly, NT had greater SOC storage than mP at the Urbana site (2.7 mg C ha-1) on an equivalent mass basis of 675 mg ha-1 soil. However, these differences disappeared when the entire plow layer was evaluated for both the Woodslee and Urbana sites as a result of the higher SOC concentrations in mP than in NT at depth. Using the minimum detectable difference technique, we observed that up to 1500 soil sample per tillage treatment comparison will have to be collected and analyzed for the Elora and Woodslee sites and over 40 soil samples per tillage treatment comparison for the Urbana to statistically separate significant differences in the SOC contents of sub-plow depth soils. Therefore, it is impracticable, and at the least prohibitively expensive, to detect tillage-induced differences in soil C beyond the plow layer in various soils.

An environmental friendly anodizing treatment (Anomag) from a phosphate-based so lution without heavy metals on AZ91D magnesium alloy was studied. The characteri stics of the coatings, such as structure, composition and corrosion resistance w ere investigated. The effects of this anodizing treatment on the mechanical prop erties were examined. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the structu re of the coatings is amorphous or glassy. In salt spray tests coatings with an average thickness of 10μm had an anticorrosive performance of over 1000 hours. Fatigue tests revealed that anodizing onto AZ91D magnesium alloy does not affect the fatigue strength. These results demonstrate the utility of this anodizing t reatment on magnesium alloy for application as a structural material, such as in the automotive field.
