During the past few decades,along with creation of new needs,large spaces of underground mines(especially abandoned mines)have found new applications,e.g.,storage of petroleum *** of empty spaces of these mines as hydrocarbons storage facilities decreases the costs of construction of underground spaces,which can be very expensive and *** the other hand,crude oil and other hydrocarbons nowadays are one of the most important factors affecting political and a major part of the domestic economy is achieved through ***,in this paper,a feasibility study has been performed on the application of underground salt mines near the city of Garmsar on the southern edge of Alborz mountains and on the north of the central desert of *** studies of documentaries,field observations and considering technical,geometrical and defensive criterion,the most suitable abandoned underground mine for reutilization as a storage facility is selected and presented.

In this study, the electrical properties of Si Ge nanowires in terms of process and fabrication integrity,measurement reliability, width scaling, and doping levels were investigated. Nanowires were fabricated on Si Geon oxide（SGOI） wafers with thickness of 52 nm and Ge content of 47%. The first group of Si Ge wires was initially formed by using conventional I-line lithography and then their size was longitudinally reduced by cutting with a focused ion beam（FIB） to any desired nanometer range down to 60 nm. The other nanowire group was manufactured directly to a chosen nanometer level by using sidewall transfer lithography（STL）. It has been shown that the FIB fabrication process allows manipulation of the line width and doping level of nanowires using Ga *** resistance of wires thinned by FIB was 10 times lower than STL wires which shows the possible dependency of electrical behavior on fabrication method.

The effect of laser, as a heat source, on a one-dimensional finite living tissue was stud- ied in this paper. The dual phase lagging （DPL） non-Fourier heat conduction model was used for thermal analysis. The thermal conductivity was assumed temperature- dependent, resulting in a nonlinear equation. The obtained equations were solved using the approximate-analytical Adomian decomposition method （ADm）. It was concluded that the nonlinear analysis was important in nomFourier heat conduction problems. moreover, a good agreement between the present nonlinear model and experimental result was obtained.

Umbilical cord blood(UCB) is a valuable source of hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs) and potential alternative for bone marrow transplantation for patients who lack human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-matched donors. The main practical advantages of UCB over other HSC sources are the immediate availability, lower incidence of graft-versus-host disease, minimal risk to the donor, and lower requirement for HLA compatibility. However, the use of UCB is limited by delayed engraftment and poor immune reconstitution, leading to a high rate of infection-related mortality. Therefore, severe infectious complications, especially due to viral pathogens remain the leading cause of morbidity and mortality during the post-UCB transplantation(UCBT) period. In this context, careful screening and excluding the viral-contaminated UCB units might be an effective policy to reduce the rate of UCBT-related infection and mortality. Taken together,complete prevention of the transmission of donor-derived viral pathogens in stem cell transplantation is not possible. However, having the knowledge of the transmission route and prevalence of viruses will improve the safety of transplantation. To the best of our knowledge, there are few studies that focused on the risk of virus transmission through the UCB transplant compared to other HSC sources. This review summarizes the general aspects concerning the prevalence, characteristics, and risk factors of viral infections with a focus on the impact of viral pathogens on cord blood transplantation safety.

Characteristic Assessment of Stabilized Polyacrylonitrile Nanowebs for the Production of Activated Carbon Nano-Sorbents

Polyacrylonitrile （PAN） nanofibers with average diameter of 300 nm were produced by electro-spinning. The nanofibers were stabilized at different temperatures in the range of 180-270 ℃in several duration times and heating rates. Fourier transforms infrared （FTIR） spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） and X-ray diffraction （XRD） analyzing techniques were employed to measure the extent of stabilization reaction. By all procedures, the ranges of temperature and duration time recommended were about 250-270 ℃ and 1-2 h, respectively. Increasing the activation temperature from 800 ℃ to 1200 ℃ caused porosity and pore volume development up to 60% and 0.532 cm3/g, respectively. Pore width of all samples was calculated to be about 0.7 nm confirming micro-pore structure of the produced PAN based activated carbon nanofibers. Comparing dye adsorption for different adsorbents including chitin and granular activated carbon （GAC） showed the highest efficiency for the produced activated carbon nanofibers （ACNFs）.

Adult neurogenesis persists after birth in the subventricular zone, with new neurons migrating to the granule cell layer and glomerular layers of the olfactory bulb, where they integrate into existing circuitry as inhibitory interneurons. The generation of these new neurons in the olfactory bulb supports both structural and functional plasticity, aiding in circuit remodeling triggered by memory and learning processes. However, the presence of these neurons, coupled with the cellular diversity within the olfactory bulb, presents an ongoing challenge in understanding its network organization and function. moreover,the continuous integration of new neurons in the olfactory bulb plays a pivotal role in regulating olfactory information processing. This adaptive process responds to changes in epithelial composition and contributes to the formation of olfactory memories by modulating cellular connectivity within the olfactory bulb and interacting intricately with higher-order brain regions. The role of adult neurogenesis in olfactory bulb functions remains a topic of debate. Nevertheless, the functionality of the olfactory bulb is intricately linked to the organization of granule cells around mitral and tufted cells. This organizational pattern significantly impacts output, network behavior, and synaptic plasticity, which are crucial for olfactory perception and memory. Additionally, this organization is further shaped by axon terminals originating from cortical and subcortical regions. Despite the crucial role of olfactory bulb in brain functions and behaviors related to olfaction, these complex and highly interconnected processes have not been comprehensively studied as a whole. Therefore, this manuscript aims to discuss our current understanding and explore how neural plasticity and olfactory neurogenesis contribute to enhancing the adaptability of the olfactory system. Objective: To investigate the effect of crocin carotenoid on BNDF and CREB gene expression in the brain ventral tegmental area(VTA) and the serum level of BDNF in morphine-treated rats compared to control. methods: In this study, 40 male Wistar rats(200-250 g) were used in 5 experimental groups: 1) non morphine treat rats(control); 2) non morphine-treated rats with 25 mg/kg crocin carotenoid(i.p., for 21 d); 3) morphine treated rats(10 mg/kg twice a day, s.c., 21 d); 4 and 5) morphine-treated rats with 12.5 and 25 mg/kg crocin carotenoid, respectively. By the end of research, BDNF and CREB expression was determined by real-time-PCR method. ELISA analysis was also applied for assessing the serum BDNF level. Results: The data indicated that morphine treatment could cause a significant decrease in BDNF and CREB gene expression(Pm level of BDNF(Pmparison to control group. Treatment with 25 mg/kg crocin carotenoid caused a significant enhancement in BDNF and CREF gene expression(Pm level of BDNF(Pmorphine-treated rats in comparison to morphine-treated group. Conclusions: Regarding to obtained results, crocin carotenoid can inhibit unfavorable effects of morphine on the neural system to some extent through enhancing BDNF and CREB gene expression in brain VTA and serum level of BDNF.
