Present contribution is concerned with the construction and application of a numerical method for the fluid flow problem over a linearly stretching surface with the modification of standard Gradient descent Algorithm to solve the resulted difference *** flow problem is constructed using continuity,and Navier Stoke equations and these PDEs are further converted into boundary value problem by applying suitable similarity transformations.A central finite difference method is proposed that gives third-order accuracy using three grid *** stability conditions of the present proposed method using a Gauss-Seidel iterative procedure is found using Von-Neumann stability criteria and order of the finite difference method is proved by applying the Taylor series on the discretised *** comparison of the presently modified optimisation algorithm with the Gauss-Seidel iterative method and standard Newton’s method in optimisation is also *** can be concluded that the presently modified optimisation Algorithm takes a few iterations to converge with a small value of the parameter contained in it compared with the standard descent algorithm that may take millions of iterations to *** present modification of the steepest descent method converges faster than Gauss-Seidel method and standard steepest descent method,and it may also overcome the deficiency of singular hessian arise in Newton’s method for some of the cases that may arise in optimisation problem(s).

At present Bayesian Networks(BN)are being used widely for demonstrating uncertain knowledge in many disciplines,including biology,computer science,risk analysis,service quality analysis,and *** they suffer from the problem that when the nodes and edges increase,the structure learning difficulty increases and algorithms become *** solve this problem,heuristic optimization algorithms are used,which tend to find a near-optimal answer rather than an exact one,with particle swarm optimization(PSO)being one of *** is a swarm intelligence-based algorithm having basic inspiration from flocks of birds(how they search for food).PSO is employed widely because it is easier to code,converges quickly,and can be parallelized *** use a recently proposed version of PSO called generalized particle swarm optimization(GEPSO)to learn bayesian network *** construct an initial directed acyclic graph(DAG)by using the max-min parent’s children(mmPC)algorithm and cross relative average *** used to create a population for theGEPSO optimization ***,we propose a velocity update procedure to increase the efficiency of the algorithmic search *** of the experiments show that as the complexity of the dataset increases,our algorithm Bayesian network generalized particle swarm optimization(BN-GEPSO)outperforms the PSO algorithm in terms of the Bayesian information criterion(BIC)score.

This study examines the nonlinear behaviors of a clamped-clamped porous pipe made of a functionally graded material(FGm) that conveys fluids and is equipped with a retaining clip, focusing on primary resonance and subcritical dynamics. The nonlinear governing equations for the FGm pipe are derived by the extended Hamilton's principle, and subsequently discretized through the application of the Galerkin *** direct method of multi-scales is then used to solve the derived equations. A thorough analysis of various parameters, including the clip stiffness, the power-law index, the porosity, and the clip location, is conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system's nonlinear dynamics. Through the analysis of the first natural frequency, the study highlights the influence of the flow velocity and the clip stiffness, while the comparisons with metallic pipes emphasize the role of FGm composition. The examination of the forced response curves reveals saddle-node bifurcations and their dependence on parameters such as the detuning parameter and the power-law index, offering valuable insights into the system's nonlinear resonant behavior. Furthermore, the frequency-response curves illustrate the hardening nonlinearities influenced by factors such as the porosity and the clip stiffness, revealing nuanced effects on the system response and resonance characteristics. This comprehensive analysis enhances the understanding of nonlinear behaviors in FGm porous pipes with a retaining clip, providing key insights for practical engineering applications in system design and optimization.

The Suzuki-miyaura reaction of methyl-5-bromo-8-（tosyloxy）-1,6-naphthyridine-7-carboxylate（5）,with 2 equiv. of arylboronic acids gave diarylated product, 5,8–diaryl-1,6-naphthyridine-7-carboxylate（7）, whereas 1 equiv. of arylboronic acid resulted in site-selective formation of 5-aryl-8-（tosyloxy）-1,6-naphthyridine-7-carboxylate（8）. The reactions proceeded with excellent chemo-selectivity in favor of the bromide group. Likewise, one-pot reaction with completely different boronic acids by sequential addition produced 1,6-naphthyridine-7-carboxylates,（10） containing two different aryl groups at 5 and 8 positions.

The refractive index increment, dynamic and static laser light scattering, intrinsic viscosity [η] and Huggins constant （KH） of nylon 12 have been measured in m-cresol and sulphuric acid/water system at 10-60℃. The intrinsic viscosity, Rn, Rg, A2, and （〈 S 〉2）^1/2 （calculated from viscosity data） and ＂a＂ values of nylon 12 are found to be higher in m-cresol than in sulphuric acid. All these parameters decrease with the increase in water contents in sulphuric acid. The refractive index increment, KH and activation energy show an opposite trend to that of [η]. The intrinsic viscosity, RH, Rg, A2, and （〈 S 〉2）^1/2 have maximum values around 30-40℃ in sulphuric acid/water system, whereas in m-cresol they fall at about 20℃. It has been concluded that the variation in size, interaction parameter （second virial coefficient）, [η] and KH of the polymer solutions with the alteration in solvent composition and temperature are the out come of change in thermodynamic quality of solvents, selective adsorption, hydrogen bonding and conformational transitions. It has also been concluded that the increase in temperature first enhances the quality of the solvent, encourages hydrogen bonding and specific adsorption, and then deteriorates, bringing conformational transitions in the polymer molecules. However, the addition of water to sulphuric acid continuously deteriorates the solvent quality. This characteristic of the solvent system brings conformational changes in the polymer especially at low temperatures.
