In the present study,the effect of injecting air bubble size on the thermal performance of a vertical counter-current shell and coiled tube heat exchanger is experimentally *** experiments were accomplished in a cylindrical shape heat exchanger with a 50 cm height and 15 cm outer *** coil with 3.939 m equivalent length and 0.6 cm outer diameter was used to carry the hot fluid(water).Four different cold fluid(shell side)flow rates(Q_(s)=2;4;6 and 8 LPm)Þunder laminar flow conditions(316≤Re≤1223),constant hot(coil side)flow rate fluid rates(Q_(h)=1 LPm),four different injected air flow rates(Q_(a)=0:5;1;1:5 and 2 LPm),invariant temperature difference(ΔT=20°C),and constant bubble’s number(1400)were *** demonstrate the effect of bubble size,a sparger with orifice diameters of 0.1,0.8,and 1.5 mm was manufactured and used in the *** overall heat transfer coefficient(U),NTU,effectiveness,and pressure loss were *** experimental results clearly showed that the heat exchanger’s thermal efficiency significantly improved with increasing the shell side flow rate and the injected air flow *** maximum improvement in U,NTU,and effectiveness was 153%,153%,and 68%,*** thermal performance of the heat exchanger was shown to be improved with increasing the bubble *** the latter finding agrees with recent CFD published results,more studies need to be confirmed.

Regolith thickness is considered as a contributing factor for the occurrence of ***, mostly it is ignored because of complex nature and as it requires more time and resources for investigation. This study aimed to appraise the role of regolith thickness on landslide distribution in the muzaffarabad and surrounding areas, NW *** this purpose regolith thickness samples were evenly collected from all the lithological units at representative sites within different slope and elevation classes in the field. Topographic attributes(slope, aspect, drainage, Topographic Wetness Index,elevation and curvature) were derived from the Digital Elevation model(DEm)(12.5 m resolution).Arc GIS model Builder was used to develop the regolith thickness model. Stepwise regression technique was used to explore the spatial variation of regolith thickness using topographic attributes and lithological units. The derived model explains about 88% regolith thickness variation. The model was validated and shows good agreement(70%) between observed and predicted values. Subsequently, the derived regolith model was used to understand the relationship between regolith thickness and landslide distribution. The analysis shows that most of the landslides were located within 1-5 m regolith thickness. However, landslide concentration is highest within 5-10 m regolith thickness, which shows that regolith thickness played a significant role for the occurrence of landslide in the studied area.

SalinityGradient Solar Ponds(SGSPs)offer the potential to capture and store solar energy for use in a range of domestic and industrial activities in regions with high solar ***,the evaporation of water from these ponds is a significant problem that must be overcome for them to be deployed ***,two ponds were constructed in the city of Nasiriya,*** two ponds were cylindrical with a diameter of 1.4 m and a total depth of 1.4 *** water body in the two ponds was constructed with layer depths of 0.5,0.75 and 0.1 m for the lower convective zone(LCZ),non-convective zone(NCZ)and the upper convective zone(UCZ)*** of the two ponds was covered with a thin liquid paraffin layer(0.5 cm)to eliminate evaporation from the surface of the *** behavior of the standard SGSP and that of the covered pond with evaporation suppressed can be straightforwardly *** experimental units were run for six months from 1st of February to 31st of July *** was shown in the first instance that by covering the pond with a thin layer of paraffin,that evaporation could be *** results showed that for the conventional SGSP,the temperature of the LCZ reached a maximum of ca.76℃ while in the covered pond the temperature of the LCZ was consistently lower than that in the uncovered pond by approximately 5-6℃.The results also indicated that the temperature of the UCZ in the covered pond was higher than that in the uncovered pond by about 10℃ in the second half of the study ***,it was noted that on rainy days the paraffin layer was swept away from the surface;and this could hinder the implementation of thin liquid cover in the large SGSP.

Schiff base synthesis is usually acid catalyzed and it usually requires refluxing the mixture of aldehydes and amine in ethanolic solution. Synthesis and characterization of Schiff base ligands derived from substituted amine and salicylaldehyde and their complexes (Cu2+, Co2+) are reported. The ligands and ligand-complexes were characterized by melting point, FTIR, CHN-elemental analysis and UV-Visible analysis. The UV-Visible and elemental analysis of complexes established (1:2) mole ratio (m:L). The stability constant and thermodynamic parameters (K, ΔG, ΔH, ΔS) were determined at different temperature (30 - 40)°C which established that the metal-complexes were very stable. The review describes the promising biological activities of Schiff base and their metal complexes.

Coronavirus(COVID-19)epidemic outbreak has devastating effects on daily lives and healthcare systems *** newly recognized virus is highly transmissible,and no clinically approved vaccine or antiviral medicine is currently *** diagnosis of infected patients through effective screening is needed to control the rapid spread of this *** radiography imaging is an effective diagnosis tool for COVID-19 virus and ***,a novel hybrid multimodal deep learning system for identifying COVID-19 virus in chest X-ray(CX-R)images is developed and termed as the COVID-DeepNet system to aid expert radiologists in rapid and accurate image ***,Contrast-Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization(CLAHE)and Butterworth bandpass filter were applied to enhance the contrast and eliminate the noise in CX-R images,*** from two different deep learning approaches based on the incorporation of a deep belief network and a convolutional deep belief network trained from scratch using a large-scale dataset were then *** architecture,which provides radiologists a high degree of confidence to distinguish healthy and COVID-19 infected people,was *** proposed COVID-DeepNet system can correctly and accurately diagnose patients with COVID-19 with a detection accuracy rate of 99.93%,sensitivity of 99.90%,specificity of 100%,precision of 100%,F1-score of 99.93%,mSE of 0.021%,and RmSE of 0.016%in a large-scale *** system shows efficiency and accuracy and can be used in a real clinical center for the early diagnosis of COVID-19 virus and treatment follow-up with less than 3 s per image to make the final decision.

Tuning the charge carrier concentration is imperative to optimize the thermoelectric(TE)performance of a *** BiCuSeO based oxyselenides,doping efforts have been limited to optimizing the carrier *** the present work,dual-doping of In and Pb at Bi site is introduced for p-type BiCuSeO to realize the electric transport channels with intricate band characteristics to improve the power factor(PF).Herein,the impurity resonant state is realized via doping of resonant dopant In over Pb,where Pb comes forward to optimize the Fermi energy in the dual-doped BiCuSeO system to divulge the significance of complex electronic *** manifold roles of dual-doping are used to adjust the elevation of the PF due to the significant enhancement in electrical ***,the combined experimental and theoretical study shows that the In/Pb dual doping at Bi sites gently reduces bandgap,introduces resonant doping states with shifting down the Fermi level into valence band(VB)with a larger density of state,and thus causes to increase the carrier concentration and effective mass(m*),which are favorable to enhance the electronic transport *** a result,both improved ZTmax=0.87(at 873 K)and high ZTave=0.5(at 300–873 K)are realized for InyBi(1−x)−yPbxCuSeO(where x=0.06 and y=0.04)*** obtained results successfully demonstrate the effectiveness of the selective dual doping with resonant dopant inducing band manipulation and carrier engineering that can unlock new prospects to develop high TE materials.
