The role of emergency incident type in identifying first responders' health exposure risks

Fire-based emergency management service(EmS)personnel are dispatched to various incidents daily,many of which have unique occupational *** fully understand the variability of incident types and how to best pre-pare and respond,an exploration of the *** system of incident types is *** study uses potential exposure to SARS-CoV-2 as a case example to understand if and how coding categories for incident call types may be updated to improve data standardization and emergency response decision *** received emergency response incident data generated by three fire department computer-aided dispatch(CAD)systems between march and September *** incident was labeled EmS,Fire,or *** the 162,766 incidents,approximately 8.1%(n=13,144)noted potential SARS-CoV-2 exposure within their narrative descriptions of which 86.3%were coded as EmS,9.9%as Fire,and 3.9%as *** assess coding variability across incident types,researchers used the original 3-incident type variable and a new 5-incident type variable reassigned by researchers into EmS,Fire,Other,Hazmat,and motor *** regressions compared differences in potential exposure using the 3-and 5-incident type *** evaluating the 3-incident type variable,those respond-ing to a Fire versus an EmS incident were 84%less likely to be associated with potential exposure to *** the 5-incident type variable,those responding to Fire incidents were 77%less likely to be associated with a potential exposure than those responding to EmS *** in potential exposure between the 3-and 5-incident type models show the need to understand how incident types are *** demonstrates the need for data standardization to accurately categorize incident types to improve emergency preparedness and *** have implications for incident type coding at fire department municipality and national levels.

The proteome of distal nerves: implication in delayed repair and poor functional recovery

＜正＞ Vascular smooth muscle cell （SmC） migration, together with SmC proliferation, contributes to vascular intimal hyperplasia and atherogenesis. Blood flow and associated shear stress regulate vascular SmC migration in experimental models. Several cell signaling pathways, including the receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinase signaling pathways, have been demonstrated to mediate shear-dependent vascular SmC migration. These investigations have provided insights into the fundamental aspects of vascular biology, biomechanics, and pathogenic mechanisms. This paper demonstrates how blood shear stress regulates vascular SmC migration and how receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinase signaling pathways mediate this process.

本文用EB病毒转化自体淋巴细胞所建立的类淋巴母细胞系(LCL),以及用EB病毒潜伏感染膜蛋白(LmP)基因和核蛋白-2(EBNA2)基因与痘苗病毒重组的重组病毒(Vac-LmP和Vac-EBNA2)感染的自身纤维母细胞,同时作为刺激细胞和靶细胞,以^(51)Cr释放法检测5例血清中EB病毒VCA—IgA抗体阳性者及1例阴性健康者外周血单个核细胞(PBmC)的特异性T细胞杀伤效应。结果表明,用自身LCL激活的EB病毒特异性T细胞杀伤效应高峰出现在第14～28天;参与杀伤性细胞免疫反应的T细胞亚群主要是T3、T8阳性的细胞毒性T细胞,其对靶细胞的识别及杀伤受HLA-I的限制。用重组牛痘病毒感染的纤维母细胞作靶细胞或刺激细胞,有1例供者可接受LmP,另1例可接受EBNA2的刺激,并对相应的靶细胞产生特异性T细胞杀伤反应,表明EB病毒-LmP和EBNA2可能既是EB病毒特异性T细胞的刺激抗原,又是其识别的靶抗原。

Cultivated peanut is grown worldwide as rich- source of oil and protein. A broad genetic base is needed for cultivar improvement. The objectives of this study were to develop highly informative simple sequence repeat （SSR） markers and to assess the genetic diversity and popuJation structure of peanut cultivars and breeding lines from different breeding programs in China, India and the US. A total of 111 SSR markers were selected for this study, resulting in a total of 472 alleles. The mean values of gene diversity and polymorphic information content （PIC） were 0.480 and o.429, respectively. Country-wise analysis revealed that alleles per locus in three countries were similar. The mean gene diversity in the US, China and India was 0.363, o.489 and 0.47 with an average PIC of 0.323, 0.43 and o.412, respectively. Genetic analysis using the STRUCTURE divided these peanut lines into two populations （P1, P2）, which was consistent with the dendro- gram based on genetic distance （G1, G2） and the clustering of principal component analysis. The groupings were related to peanut market types and the geographic origin with a few admixtures. The results could be used by breeding programs to assess the genetic diversity of breeding materials to broaden the genetic base and for molecular genetics studies.

以辐射灭活的EB病毒类淋巴母细胞株作为刺激抗原,培养液中加入10％mLA-144上清液(含IL-2),用限制性稀释法建立EB病毒特异性T细胞克隆.在用含不同浓度的重组IL-2(rIL-2)培养后,检测T细胞克隆特性的改变,结果显示,特异性T细胞克隆的建立依赖于特异性抗原的刺激及少量IL-2的存在.T细胞克隆形成后,其特异性、HLA限制性及T细胞表型等特性是相对稳定的,不受培养液中rIL-2浓度变化的影响.

Addington和Ore Chimney是元古代含金石英一碳酸盐脉矿床,它们产在较低级的角闪岩相变质岩中,在一较大的区域性不整合面上或其附近。 Ore Chimney矿床是一典型的不透明的矿物组合——方铅矿-闪锌矿-黄铁矿-黄铜矿-磁黄铁矿-富银黝铜矿-钛铁矿。脉系赋存在一厚4m的黑云母片岩中,此黑云母片岩周围为变玄武熔岩流。变火山岩之上不整合地覆盖着厚10m的变泥质石榴石-黑云母片岩(Ore Chimney建造)和一粗的硅质碎屑岩(Flinton组).Ore Chimney矿床出现在不整合面之下30m处。 Addington矿床具有典型的不透明的毒砂-黄铁矿-黄铜矿-磁黄铁矿-钛铁矿的矿物群。这个矿床赋存在Ore Chimney建造内,并位于沿走向距Ore Chimney矿山8km处。毒砂地温测量和闪锌矿地压测量获得温度和压力,估计范围分别为420—530℃和0.35—0.59GPa,与估计的顶峰变质条件是一致的。地球化学、结构和构造证据表明,脉建造和矿化是在主变质和变形幕期间发生的,金是经由变质流体而沉积的.矿化作用与围岩的弱碳酸盐化有关。金和贱金属可以从热液和/或风化作用生成早期浓度中重新活动。

Nano-and micro-particles are being increasingly used to tune interfacial frictional properties in diverse applications,from friction modifiers in industrial lubrication to enhanced biological fluids in human osteoarthritic ***,we assessed the tribological properties of a simulated synovial fluid enriched with non-spherical,poly lactic-co-glycolic acid(PLGA)microparticles(μPL)that have been previously demonstrated for the pharmacological management of osteoarthritis(OA).Three different μPL configurations were fabricated presenting a 20μm×20μm square base and a thickness of 5μm(thin,5H μPL),10μm(10H μPL),and 20μm(cubical,20H μPL).After extensive morphological and physicochemical characterizations,the apparent Young’s modulus of the μPL was quantified under compressive loading returning an average value of~6 kPa,independently of the particle ***,using a linear two-axis tribometer,the static(μ_(s))and dynamic(μ_(d))friction coefficients of the μPL-enriched simulated synovial fluid were determined in terms of particle configuration and concentration,varying from 0(fluid only)to 6×10^(5) μPL/*** particle morphology had a modest influence on friction,possibly because the μPL were fully squeezed between two mating surfaces by a 5.8 N normal load realizing boundary-like lubrication ***,friction was observed to depend on the dimensionless parameterW,defined as the ratio between the total volume of the μPL enriching the simulated synovial fluid and the volume of the fluid *** coefficients of friction were documented to grow withWreaching a plateau of μ_(s)~0.4 and μ_(d)~0.15,already at Ω~2×10^(-3).Future investigations will have to systematically analyze the effect of sliding velocity,normal load,and rigidity of the mating surfaces to elucidate in full the tribological behavior of μPL in the context of osteoarthritis.
