Spinel-type mg0.35Cu0.20Zn0.45Fe1.94O4 ferrites were synthesized by using the solid-state reaction technique. The XRD patterns of the sintered samples indicated the formation of single-phase cubic spinel structure. The apparent density of the sample is found to increase whereas porosity decreases with the increase in sintering time. The grain growth of the samples is enhanced with the increase in sintering time which is attributed to the liquid phase due to CuO during sintering. The initial permeability of the ferrite is found to increase with the increase in sintering time but the resonance frequency shifts towards the lower frequency. This increase in permeability is correlated to the increase of density and the grain size of the sample. The resistivity of the samples decreases with 103/T ensuring the semiconducting nature of the samples. Room temperature DC resistivity and activation energy of the samples decrease what is attributed to the increased Fe2+ ions content with the increase in sintering time. The dielectric constant (e￠) of the samples decreases with increasing frequency whereas e￠ increases as the temperature increases exhibiting normal dielectric behaviour of the magnetic semiconductor ferrite. The observed variation of electrical and dielectric properties is explained on the basis of Fe2+/Fe3+ ionic concentration as well as the electronic hopping frequency between Fe3+ and Fe2+ ions in the present ferrite sample.

Allelopathic effects of different doses of Eucalyptus camaldulensis leaf litters were investigated through an experiment in the green house of Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Three popular agricultural crops： Falen （Vigna unguiculata）, Chickpea （Cicer arietinum）, Arhor （Cajanus cajan） and two widely used plantation trees： Sada koroi （Albizia procera） and Ipil ipil （Leucaena leucocephala） were selected as bioassay species. Experiment was set on tray at room temperature 27℃. The effects of different doses of leaf litter extracts were compared to the control. Results suggest that leaf litters of E, camaldulesis induced inhibitory effects, It was also found that the effect depend on concentration of extract and litterfall, type of receiver species. Higher concentration of the materials had the higher effect and vice versa. Though all the bioassay species were suppressed some of them showed better performance. Vigna unguiculata, Cicer arietinum are recommended in agroforestry based on this present Experiment output. In mixed plantation, Leucaena leucochephala is a better choice while compared to Albizia procera.

The fast growth in the size and difficulty of nuclear power plant in the 1970s produced an interest in smaller, modest designs that are intrinsically safe over the usage of design features. With the development of nuclear technology, there is the need for revolution in the maritime sector, especially the advance marine propulsion. In current years, numerous reactor manufacturers are dynamically improving small modular reactor designs with even superior use of safety features. Several designs integrate the ultimate in greater safety. They totally remove specific accident initiators from the design. Other design features benefit to reduce different types of accident or help to mitigate the accident’s consequences. Although some safety features are mutual to maximum SmR designs, irrespective of the coolant technology, other features are specific to liquid-metal cooled, water, gas, or SmR designs. Results: There have been more reactor concepts investigated in the marine propulsion area by different assemblies and research laboratories than in the power generation field, and much can be learned from their experience for land applications. The extensive use of safety features in SmRs potential to make these power plants extremely vigorous, protecting both the public and the investor. Conclusion: For these two considerations, it is recognized that a nuclear reactor is the ideal engine for naval advanced propulsion. The paper will present the work to analyze the concept design of SmRs and design a modular vessel consisting of a propulsion module.

The automobiles, aircraft, and lightweight industries continuously demand thin near-net-shape preforms just out-of-machine as close to the final shape. This study addresses the possibilities of 3D thin shell textile preform as the solution of lightweight reinforcement in various applications. Investigation into the development of 3D thin shells has led to different manufacturing processes. However, 3D thin shell preforms are mostly made by weaving and knitting, but nonwoven, winding, and/or layup techniques have been reported for over a decade. Owing to the complex thin shell manufacturing processes, they are not similar to the conventional methods. The different 3D thin shell preforms can extend the opportunities for new applications in various technical fields. This study presents existing research gaps and a few potential issues to be solved regarding 3D thin shell preforms in the near future.

Background: Curculigo recurvata(C. recurvata) is an enthnomedicinally important herb reported to have significant medicinal values. The present study aimed to explore the in vivo and in silico anti-nociceptive and anti-diarrheal effects of a C. recurvate rhizome methanol extract(me-RCR).methods: The analgesic effects of me-RCR were assessed using acetic acid-induced writhing and the formalin-induced flicking test. The drugs were administered intraperitoneally(IP) at doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg body weight(bw). Anti-diarrheal activity was evaluated by assessing intestinal motility, hypersecretion, and fecal score in mice at oral doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg·bw. Computer facilitated analyses for anti-nociceptive and anti-diarrheal activities of three isolated compounds from C. recurvata were undertaken to identify the best-fit ***: The me-RCR showed significant(P malin-induced writhing test. In the castor oil-induced diarrhoea model, the extract significantly(P me of diarrhoea, inhibited percentage of diarrhoea, and decreased both the volume and weight of intestinal contents. Rates of intestinal fluid accumulation inhibition were(33.61 ± 1.00)% and(46.44 ± 0.89)% at me-RCR doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg·bw, respectively. moreover, a significant(P motility was observed. An absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and/or toxicity(ADmE/T) test showed that the selected compounds yielded promising results, satisfying Lipinski's rule of five for predicting drug-like potential. Notably, of the three phytoconstituents curculigine and isocurculigine possessed the highest affinity for the COX-1 and COX-2. The multi-component oxide (Al0.88Fe0.67Zn0.28O3)) surface (abbreviated as mCOS) was prepared to optimize the effectiveness of the elimination of As (III) from aqueous solution. The oxide surface was synthe-sized by co-precipitation method using corresponding metal carbonates. It was characterized by XRD, TGA and DSC. The surface morphology of mCOS was observed in SEm and the elemental analysis was accomplished by EDX. The composition of Al2O3, Fe2O3 & ZnO was 23.6, 39.9 and 20.6 wt% respectively in XRF analysis. The specific surface area was found 389.85 m2 g-1. Batch experiments were performed to remove As (III) from aqueous solution considering various parameters such as effect of pH, contact time, initial arsenic concentration, temperature and sor-bent dosage. The maximum sorption capacity of the surface was almost steady from pH 4 to pH 9. Kinetic study shows that As (III) sorption is following second order rate equation with the rate constant of 80×10-2 g mg-1 min-1 at room temperature and this rate was increased with increasing temperature which indicates the sorption was endothermic process. The free energy change, ΔGo was negative which proves that the sorption was spontaneous and thermodynamically favorable. Sorption isotherm was interpreted by Langmuir equation and the maximum sorption capacity of oxide monolayer was 13×10-2 mg g-1.

The natural regeneration of the tree species in pure natural forest stand and enrichment plantations of Baraitali Forest of Chittagong (South) Forest Division, Bangladesh was studied by stratified random quadrat method during April 2002 to November 2002. Totally 100 plots of 3 m X 3 m in size represents a total of 64 regenerating tree species from natural forest with an average seedlings of 24767/hm2, while only 40 regenerating tree species were recorded from enrichment plan-tations with an average seedlings of 18633/hm2. maximum regeneration in natural forest was found with Castanopsis spp. (2200 seedlings/hm2) followed by Glochidion lanceolarium (2183 /hm2) whereas, in enrichment plantations maximum regen-eration was found with Dipterocarpus gracilis (2117/hm2) followed by Anogeissus acuminata (2000/hm2). For natural forest, highest relative density was found for Castanopsis spp (8.88%), relative frequency for Glochidion lanceolarium (7.36%), rela-tive abundance for Syzygium spp. (3.79%) and Importance Value Index were recorded with Glochidion lanceolarium (18.24%). The corresponding values for enrichment plantations were highest with Dipterocarpus gracilis (11.36%), Glochidion lanceo-larium (9.71%), Dipterocarpus gracilis (5.92%), Glochidion lanceolarium (23.32%) respectively. Stem per hectare of some common trees with their seedlings and saplings in both the natural stands and enrichment plantations showed that only Dip-terocarpus gracilis successfully recruited in both sites but recruitment was higher in natural forest. Like many other primary rain forests, the Baraitoli forest typically has both substantial seedlings and soil seed bank from which regeneration may occur. The naturally regenerated seedlings are quite dense but it could not reach the pole stage due to human interference.

Interaction between beta-lactum antibiotic drug ciprofloxacin hydrochloride(CFH)and cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)was performed conductometrically in aqueous as well as in the occurrence of different salts(NaCl,KCl as well as NH_4Cl)over the temperature range of 298.15–323.15 K at the regular interval of 5 *** drug has been suggested for the treatment of bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections and acute sinusitis.A clear critical micelle concentration(CmC)was obtained for pure CTAB as well as(CFH+CTAB)mixed *** decrease in CmC values of CTAB caused by the addition of CFH reveals the existence of the interaction between the components and therefore it is the indication of micelle formation at lower concentration of CTAB and their CmC values further decrease in attendance of salts.A nonlinear behavior in the CmC versus T plot was observed in all the *** ΔG_m^0 values are found to be negative in present study systems demonstrated the stability of the *** values of ΔH_m^0 and ΔS_m^0 reveal the existence of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions between CFH and *** thermodynamic properties of transfer for the micellization were also evaluated and discussed in *** dynamic simulation disclosed that environment of water and salts have impact on the hydrophobic interaction between CFH and *** water and salts,CTAB adopts spherical micelle in which charged hydrophilic groups are interacted with waters whereas hydrophobic tails form the core of the *** hydrophobic core region is highly conserved and *** addition,micelle formation is more favorable in aqueous Na Cl solution than other solutions.
