Complexed amino acid minerals vs. bis-glycinate chelated minerals:impact on the performance of old laying hens

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn, mn, and Cu) from complexed amino acid minerals(ZmCAA) and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZmCGly) in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality, yolk mineral deposition, intestinal morphometry, and bone characteristics. from 78 to 98 weeks of age, 400 White LsL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per treatment. Treatments were distributed in a 2 ×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn, mn, and Cu of ZmCAA or ZmCGly source at 2 levels: low(20, 20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and Cu, respectively) or high(40, 40, and 7 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and Cu,respectively). The analysis of variance was performed, and in cases where differences were observed, the means were compared using Tukey?s test(P source and level of trace mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying hens. Hens fed ZmCAA had higher egg production(P = 0.01), egg weight(P = 0.02), egg mass(P = 0.01), and lower feed conversion ratio(P =0.05) compared to those fed ZmCGly. The ZmCAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P =0.01), albumen weight(P = 0.01), and eggshell thickness(P sition of Zn(P mn(Pin the egg yolk was greater for hens received ZmCAA. Tibia weight(P = 0.04)and bone densitometry(P in the tibia were higher with ZmCAA supplementation. in the small intestine, ZmCAA resulted in longer villi(P = 0.02) and shorter crypt depth(P = 0.01) in the *** and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(P ing hens fed ZmCAA exhibited superior performance, egg quality, deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk, and bone density compared to hens fed ZmCGly. in this study, older laying hens supplemented with ZmCAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.

Rescattering of stimulated Raman side scattering(sRss)is observed for the first time via two-dimensional(2D)particle-in-cell(PiC)*** construct a theoretical model for the rescattering process,which can predict the region of occurrence of mth-order sRss and estimate its *** rescattering process is identified by the 2D PiC simulations under typical conditions of a direct-drive inertial confinement fusion *** electrons produced by second-order sRss propagate nearly perpendicular to the density gradient and gain nearly the same energy as in first-order sRss,but there is no cascade acceleration to produce superhot *** studies for a wide range of ignition conditions show that sRss and associated rescatterings are robust and important processes in inertial confinement fusion.

ferroelectric HfO_(2)has attracted much attention owing to its superior ferroelectricity at an ultra-thin thickness and good compatibility with si-based complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CmOs)***,the crystallization of polar orthorhombic phase(o-phase)HfO_(2)is less competitive,which greatly limits the ferroelectricity of the as-obtained ferroelectric HfO_(2)thin ***,the crystallization of o-phase HfO_(2)can be thermodynamically modulated via interfacial stress *** this paper,the growth of improved ferroelectric Al doped HfO_(2)(HfO_(2):Al)thin films on(111)-oriented si substrate has been *** analysis has suggested that nonpolar monoclinic HfO_(2):Al grown on(111)-oriented si substrate suffered from a strong compressive strain,which promoted the crystallization of(111)-oriented o-phase HfO_(2)in the as-grown HfO_(2):Al thin *** addition,the in-plane lattice of(111)-oriented si substrate matches well with that of(111)-oriented o-phase HfO_(2),which further thermally stabilizes the o-phase HfO_(2).Accordingly,an improved ferroelectricity with a remnant polarization(2P_(r))of 26.7C/cm^(2) has been *** results shown in this work provide a simple way toward the preparation of improved ferroelectric HfO_(2)thin films.

The Ti−45Nb(wt.%)alloy properties were investigated in relation to its potential biomedical *** surface modification was utilized to improve its performance in biological *** a result of the laser treatment,(Ti,Nb)O scale was formed and various morphological features appeared on the alloy *** electrochemical behavior of Ti−45Nb alloy in simulated body conditions was evaluated and showed that the alloy was highly resistant to corrosion deterioration regardless of additional laser surface modification ***,the improved corrosion resistance after laser treatment was evident(the corrosion current density of the alloy before laser irradiation was 2.84×10^(−8)A/cm^(2),while that after laser treatment with 5 mj was 0.65×10^(−8)A/cm^(2))and ascribed to the rapid formation of a complex and passivating bi-modal surface oxide *** cytotoxicity and effects of the Ti−45Nb alloy laser surface modification on the mRC-5 cell viability,morphology,and proliferation were also *** Ti−45Nb alloy showed no cytotoxic ***,cells showed improved viability and adherence to the alloy surface after the laser irradiation *** highest average cell viability of 115.37%was attained for the alloy laser-irradiated with 15 *** showed that the laser surface modification can be successfully utilized to significantly improve alloy performance in a biological environment.

The joint European space Agency and Chinese Academy of sciences solar wind magnetosphere ionosphere Link Explorer(smiLE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the smiLE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for smiLE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for smiLE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional science Working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online smiLE Data fusion facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the smiLE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

An analysis of the sectorial structure of energy consumption shows that residential and tertiary sector buildings are the third-highest consumers,responsible for 29.5%of a city’s final energy *** Building Quality Control Laboratory of the Basque Government aims to promote quality,innovation,and sustainability in *** accomplish this goal,it has constructed an experimental facility with different energy generation technologies and a very versatile control system for testing different energy systems and operation *** this study,we tested a facility for supplying domestic hot water and heating for a multi-family house by means of a condensing boiler and an aerothermal heat pump(together with the corresponding control).This installation could reproduce the thermal demands required to be satisfied by the generation equipment through a programmed operation of the installation based on real ***,this installation was analyzed using thermoeconomics(TE)to solve problems unable to be solved using traditional energy analyses based on the first Law of *** problems include:(1)Determining the costs of the products of the installation based on physical criteria,(2)detecting the places where losses actually occur,evaluating their costs,and proposing cost-effective improvements,and(3)diagnosing issues in the *** a result,this paper suggests a solution to the preventive maintenance problems confronting the technical maintenance personnel for thermal installations in buildings by applying TE knowledge and using real data collected from sensors.

Optimization of a photovoltaic-battery system using deep reinforcement learning and load forecasting

Home Energy management systems(HEms)are increasingly relevant for demand-side management at the residential level by collecting data(energy,weather,electricity prices)and controlling home appliances or storage *** control can be performed with classical models that find optimal solutions,with high real-time computational cost,or data-driven approaches,like Reinforcement Learning,that find good and flexible solutions,but depend on the availability of load and generation data and demand high computational resources for *** this work,a novel HEms is proposed for the optimization of an electric battery operation in a real,online and data-driven environment that integrates state-of-the-art load forecasting combining CNN and LsTm neural networks to increase the robustness of *** Reinforcement Learning agents are trained with different algorithms(Double DQN,Dueling DQN,Rainbow and Proximal Policy Optimization)in order to minimize the cost of electricity purchase and to maximize photovoltaic self-consumption for a PV-Battery residential *** show that the best Reinforcement Learning agent achieves a 35%reduction in total cost when compared with an optimization-based agent.

The EsA and CAs smiLE mission orbit is highly elliptical and will pass through multiple radiation *** soft X-ray imager(sXi)instrument aboard has a radiation shutter door designed to close when the surrounding radiation flux is *** shutter door will close when passing below an altitude threshold to protect against trapped particles in the Earth’s Van Allen ***,two radiation environments can be approximated based on the shutter door position:open and *** instrument background for the CCDs(Charge-Coupled Devices)that form the focal plane array of the sXi were evaluated for the two *** to the correlation of the space environment with the solar cycle,the solar minima and maxima,the background was also evaluated at these two *** results demonstrated that the highest instrument background will occur during solar minima due to the main contributing source being Galactic Cosmic Rays(GCRs).it was also found that the open background was highest for solar minima and that the closed background was highest during solar *** is due to the radiation shutter door acting as a scattering centre and the changes in the energy flux distribution of the GCRs between the two solar extremes.

QCD sum rule study of j^(P)=1^(±)exotic states with two heavy quarks in the molecular picture

in this study,the spectroscopic parameters of exotic molecular states composed of mesons containing two heavy quarks(scalar-axial and pseudoscalar-axial meson combinations)are investigated within the QCD sum *** findings reveal that molecular states containing charm quarks do not form bound states,whereas states with b-quarks can form exotic molecular *** observation has significant implications for understanding the structure of these exotic states.
