The thermal nanofluids have garnered widespread attention for their use in multiple thermal systems, including heating processes, sustainable energy, and nuclear reactions. Research on nanofluids has revealed that the thermal efficiencies of such materials are adversely affected by various thermal features. The purpose of the current work is to demonstrate the thermal analysis of jeffrey nanofluids with the suspension of microorganisms in the presence of variable thermal sources. The variable effects of thermal conductivity, Brownian diffusivity, and motile density are utilized. The investigated model also reveals the contributions of radiation phenomena and chemical reactions. A porous, saturated, moving surface with a suction phenomenon promotes flow. The modeling of the problem is based on the implementation of the Cattaneo-Christov *** convective thermal constraints are used to promote the heat transfer features. A simplified form of the governing model is treated with the assistance of a shooting technique. The physical effects of different parameters for the problem are presented. The current problem justifies its applications in heat transfer, coating processes, heat exchangers, cooling systems in microelectronics, solar systems, chemical processes, etc.

ENSO-induced Latitudinal Variation of the Subtropical jet modulates Extreme Winter Precipitation over the Western Himalaya

In this study,we investigate the complex relationship between western disturbances(WDs),the El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO),and extreme precipitation events(EPEs) in the western Himalaya(WH) during the extended winter season(November–march).WDs west of WH coincide with 97% of recorded EPEs,contributing substantially(32% in winter,11% annually) to total precipitation within *** are 6% less frequent and 4% more intense during El Ni?o than La Ni?a to the west of *** El Ni?o(compared to La Ni?a) years,WDs co-occurring with EPEs are significantly more intense and associated with 17% higher moisture transport over “WH box”(the selected region where most of the winter precipitation over WH occurs).This results in twice the EPE frequency during El Ni?o periods than La Ni?a periods.A substantial southward shift(~180 km) of the subtropical jet(STj) axis during El Ni?o brings WD tracks further south towards their primary moisture sources,especially the Arabian *** have shown that WDs that are both more intense and pass to the south of their typical latitudes have higher levels of vertically integrated moisture flux(VImF)within *** convergence in the most intense pentile of WDs is 5.7 times higher than in the weakest,and is 3.4 times higher in the second lowest latitude pentile than in the ***,this study demonstrates a direct link between changes in the latitudinal position and intensity of WDs associated with the winter STj,and moisture convergence,which leads to the occurrence of EPEs over WH during ENSO phases.

Adsorption properties of Rosmarinus officinalis oil as green corrosion inhibitors on C38 steel in 0.5 m H_2SO_4

Rosmarinus officinalis essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation was tested as corrosion inhibitor of steel in 0.5 m H2SO4 using weight loss measurements, and electrochemical .polarisation methods. Results obtained indicate that the corrosion rate is reduced and R. officinalis oil adsorbs on the metal surface and then inhibits corrosion process. Its inhibition efficiency increases with oil increasing content to reach 61% at 1 g/L. Polarisation curves indicate that RO acts as a cathodic inhibitor. The inhibition efficiency of naturally oil remains slightly constant with the rise of temperature. Chemical analysis of R. officinalis essential oil was carried out using capillary GC and GC/mS. The oil composition was characterized by high amount of oxygenated monoterpene （77%） with 1,8-cineol （52.1%） as main component. Discussion of adsorption was investigated on the the isotherm adsorption of essential oil on basis of essential oil composition. Finally the steel has been also reported.

Retinal capillary density among healthy Egyptian and South Asian students:an optical coherence tomography angiography study

AIm:To compare the macular and optic nerve perfusion and vascular architecture using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)in normal eyes of Egyptian(Caucasians)and South Asian(Asians)***:Cross-sectional analytical OCTA study performed on 90 eyes of South Asian(n=45)and Egyptians(n=45)were *** participants underwent bestcorrected visual acuity test,slit lamp,and fundus *** images;macular 6×6 mm^(2) grid and optic nerve 4.5×4.5 mm^(2) grid were used to examine the parafoveal and peripapillary regions,***:The mean capillary vessel density(CVD)in macular sectors among South Asians and Egyptians participants were(50.31%±2.53%,51.2%±5.93%)and(49.71%±3.6%,51.94%±4.79%)in superficial(SCP)and deep capillary plexuses(DCP),respectively(P>0.05).mean CVD in both groups was higher in DCP compared to SCP in all sectors but was not significant(P>0.05).mean foveal CVD increases with an increase in central retinal thickness in both SCP and DCP(Pmong both *** area of the foveal avascular zone(FAZ)was 0.28±0.09 and 0.27±0.08 mm2 in South Asian and Egyptians,*** area decreases with an increase in the thickness and foveal CVD(Pmean CVD in the peripapillary area was 48.23%±5.78% in South Asian and 49.52%±2.38% in Egyptian *** mean retinal nerve fiber layer thickness was found to be higher in the nasal quadrant among South Asian females than the Egyptian females(Pmproving the normative data on the differences in South Asian and Egyptian populations.

Changes in source contributions to the oxidative potential of Pm_(2.5)in urban Xiamen,China

The toxicity of Pm_(2.5)does not necessarily change synchronously with its mass *** this study,the chemical composition(carbonaceous species,water-soluble ions,and metals)and oxidative potential(dithiothreitol assay,DTT)of Pm_(2.5)were investigated in 2017/2018 and 2022 in Xiamen,*** decrease rate of volume-normalized DTT(DTTv)(38%)was lower than that of Pm_(2.5)(55%)between the two sampling ***,the mass-normalized DTT(DTTm)increased by 44%.Clear seasonal patterns with higher levels in winter were found for Pm_(2.5),most chemical constituents and DTTv but not for *** large decrease in DTT activity(84%−92%)after the addition of EDTA suggested that watersoluble metals were the main contributors to DTT in *** increased gap between the reconstructed and measured DTTv and the stronger correlations between the reconstructed/measured DTT ratio and carbonaceous species in 2022were *** decrease rates of the hazard index(32.5%)and lifetime cancer risk(9.1%)differed from those of Pm_(2.5)and DTTv due to their different main *** PmF-mLR model showed that the contributions(nmol/(min·m^(3)))of vehicle emission,coal+biomass burning,ship emission and secondary aerosol to DTTv in 2022 decreased by 63.0%,65.2%,66.5%,and 22.2%,respectively,compared to those in 2017/2018,which was consistent with the emission reduction of vehicle exhaust and coal consumption,the adoption of low-sulfur fuel oil used on board ships and the reduced production of ***,the contributions of dust+sea salt and industrial emission increased.

Predicting maximum Lifespan Limits at mean menopausal Age

The age at which a woman enters natural menopause has also been associated to death from any cause. menopause is a natural component of aging that happens between the ages of 45 and 55, with the average menopausal age being 51. Previous research has revealed the age at which women reach menopause, but there is no evidence to support the link between menopause and longevity. We made a study in assessing the limits of maximum lifespan at menopausal age in our previous article. In this paper, we aim to predict the maximum lifespan of women at mean menopausal age.

Identifying suitable areas for plenter forest management

Plenter forests, also known as uneven-aged or continuous cover forests enhance forest resilience and resistance against disturbances compared to even-aged forests. They are considered as an adaptation option to mitigate climate change effects. In this study, we present a conceptual approach to determine the potentially suitable area for plenter forest management within central European mixed species forests and apply our approach to the case study area in Styria, the south-eastern Province of Austria. The concept is based on ecological and technical-economic constraints and considers expected future climate conditions and its impact on plenter forest management. For each 1 ha forest pixel, we assess the ecological conditions for plenter forest management according to the autecological growth conditions of silver fir, and at least one additional shade tolerant tree species. The technical-economic constraints are defined by slope (m) to ensure cost-efficient harvesting. The results show that under current climate conditions 28.1% or 305,349 ha of the forests in Styria are potentially suitable for plenter forest management. For the years 2071-2100 and under the climate change scenario RCP 4.5, the potential area decreases to 286,098 ha (26.3% of the total forest area) and for the scenario RCP 8.5 to 208,421 ha (19.1% of the total forest area). The main reason for these changes is the unfavourable growing conditions for silver fir in the lowlands, while in the higher elevations silver fir is likely to expand. Our results may serve forest managers to identify areas suitable for plenter forests and assist in the transformation of even-aged pure forests to uneven-aged forests to increase resistance, resilience, and biodiversity under climate change.

Experimental Study of Forced Convective Heat Transfer in a Copper Tube Using Three Types of Nanofluids

The use of nanofluids as heat transfer media represents an innovative strategy to enhance heat transfer *** study investigates experimentally the turbulent convective heat transfer characteristics of waterbased nanofluids containing TiO_(2),CuO,and graphene nanoplatelet(GNP)nanoparticles as they flow through a copper *** the dynamic viscosity and thermal conductivity of these nanofluids were modeled and experimentally measured across varying nanoparticle concentrations(0.01,0.02,and 0.03 vol.%)and temperatures(25℃,35℃,and 45℃).The findings indicate that the behavior of nanofluids depends on the parameter used for comparison with the base ***,both the friction factor and heat transfer coefficient increase with higher nanoparticle volume concentrations at a constant Reynolds *** results further reveal that the GNP/water nanofluid,with a volume concentration of 0.03%at 45℃,exhibit the highest Nusselt number,followed by the CuO/water and TiO_(2)/water nanofluids,with respective increases of 17.8%,11.09%,and 8.11%.
