Surface activation of viscose textiles via air,argon,and oxygen dielectric barrier discharge plasma:influence of peak voltage

This paper discusses the use of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)plasma treatment to enhance the surface qualities of viscose *** study explores the effects of different plasma gases,discharge voltages,and exposure times on the treated *** findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the plasma's peak voltage to achieve the desired surface treatment *** document also presents data on colour strength,wettability,colour fastness,and tensile strength of the treated fabrics,as well as scanning electron microscopy(SEm)analysis of surface morphology and chemical analysis using fouriertransition infrared spectroscopy(FTiR)and energy dispersive X-ray(EDX).The results show that treatment at a peak voltage of 11.83 k V is more efficient,except for the tensile strength which is enhanced at a peak voltage of 8.92 k *** oxygen plasma treatment significantly improves the colour strength,which exhibits an increase from 11 to *** intensified colour was attributed to the significant influence of electrostatic interactions between the charged hydroxyl groups of the oxygen plasma treated viscose textiles and the dye molecules,which enhance the *** oxygen DBD plasma exhibits a higher ability to enhance the properties of textiles when compared to air and argon *** study presents a sustainable,economical,secure,and ecologically friendly approach to explore new fabrics for specific uses.

Classifying moisture sources associated with snowfall in the mountains of Lesotho

Feature selection(FS)plays a crucial role in pre-processing machine learning datasets,as it eliminates redundant features to improve classification accuracy and reduce computational *** paper presents an enhanced approach to FS for software fault prediction,specifically by enhancing the binary dwarf mongoose optimization(BDmO)algorithm with a crossover mechanism and a modified positioning updating *** proposed approach,termed iBDmOcr,aims to fortify exploration capability,promote population diversity,and lastly improve the wrapper-based FS process for software fault prediction *** gained superb performance compared to other well-esteemed optimization methods across 17 benchmark *** ranked first in 11 out of 17 datasets in terms of average classification ***,iBDmOcr outperformed other methods in terms of average fitness values and number of selected features across all *** findings demonstrate the effectiveness of iBDmOcr in addressing FS problems in software fault prediction,leading to more accurate and efficient models.

Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KiRC)is a malignant tumor that carries a substantial risk of morbidity and *** mmP family assumes a crucial role in tumor invasion and *** study aimed to uncover the mechanistic relevance of the mmP gene family as a therapeutic target and diagnostic biomarker in Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KiRC)through a comprehensive approach encompassing both computational and molecular ***,Cytoscape,UALCAN,GEPiA,OncoDB,HPA,cBioPortal,GSEA,TimER,ENCORi,DrugBank,targeted bisulfite sequencing(bisulfite-seq),conventional PCR,Sanger sequencing,and RT-qPCR based analyses were used in the present study to analyze mmP gene family members to accurately determine a few hub genes that can be utilized as both therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers for *** performing STRiNG and Cytohubba analyses of the 24 mmP gene family members,mmP2(matrix metallopeptidase 2),mmP9(matrix metallopeptidase 9),mmP12(matrix metallopeptidase 12),and mmP16(matrix metallopeptidase 16)genes were denoted as hub genes having highest degree *** analyzing mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16 via various TCGA databases and RT-qPCR technique across clinical samples and KiRC cell lines,interestingly,all these hub genes were found significantly overexpressed at mRNA and protein levels in KiRC samples relative to *** notable effect of the up-regulated mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16 was also documented on the overall survival(OS)of the KiRC ***,targeted bisulfite-sequencing(bisulfite-seq)analysis revealed that promoter hypomethylation pattern was associated with up-regulation of hub genes(mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16).in addition to this,hub genes were involved in various diverse oncogenic *** mmP gene family members(mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16)may serve as therapeutic targets and prognostic biomarkers in KiRC.

The simultaneous investigation on the parameters affecting the flow of electrically conductive fluids such as volumetric radiation,heat absorption,heat generation,and magnetic field(mF)is very vital due to its existence in various sectors of industry and *** present research focuses on mathematical modeling to simulate the cooling of a hot component through power-law(PL)nanofluid convection *** temperature reduction of the hot component inside a two-dimensional(2D)inclined chamber with two different cold wall shapes is *** formulation of the problem is derived with the lattice Boltzmann method(LBm)by code writing via the FORTRAN *** variables such as the radiation parameter(0–1),the Hartmann number(0–75),the heat absorption/generation coefficient(−5–5),the fluid behavioral index(0.8–1.2),the Rayleigh number(103–105),the imposed mF angle(0°–90°),the chamber inclination angle(−90°–90°),and the cavity cold wall shape(smooth and curved)are *** findings indicate that the presence of radiation increases the mean Nusselt number value for the shear-thickening,Newtonian,and shear thinning fluids by about 6.2%,4%,and 2%,*** most cases,the presence of nanoparticles improves the heat transfer(HT)rate,especially in the cases where thermal conduction dominates *** is the lowest cooling performance index and mF effect for the cavity placed at an angle of 90°.The application in the design of electronic coolers and solar collectors is one of the practical cases of this numerical research.

A core-satellite self-assembled SERS aptasensor containing a“biological-silent region”Raman tag for the accurate and ultrasensitive detection of histamine

Herein,a novel interference-free surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)strategy based on magnetic nanoparticles(mNPs)and aptamer-driven assemblies was proposed for the ultrasensitive detection of histamine.A core-satellite SERS aptasensor was constructed by combining aptamer-decorated Fe_(3)O_(4)@Au mNPs(as the recognize probe for histamine)and complementary DNA-modified silver nanoparticles carrying 4-mercaptobenzonitrile(4-mBN)(Ag@4-mBN@Ag-c-DNA)as the SERS signal probe for the indirect detection of *** an applied magnetic field in the absence of histamine,the assembly gave an intense Raman signal at“Raman biological-silent”region due to *** the presence of histamine,the Ag@4-mBN@Ag-c-DNA SERS-tag was released from the Fe_(3)O_(4)@Au mNPs,thus decreasing the SERS *** optimal conditions,an ultra-low limit of detection of 0.65×10^(-3)ng/mL and a linear range 10^(-2)-10^5 ng/mL on the SERS aptasensor were *** histamine content in four food samples were analyzed using the SERS aptasensor,with the results consistent with those determined by high performance liquid *** present work highlights the merits of indirect strategies for the ultrasensitive and highly selective SERS detection of small biological molecules in complex matrices.

Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group i(control-untreated),Group ii(CBZ-control),Group iii(VE-control),Group iV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group Vi(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group Vii(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group Viii(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of medicine,Suez Canal University(ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(mDA),glutathione(GSH),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pmerase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(iL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Pid group treated with CBZ alone(Group Vi)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group Viii showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.
