Objectives: This study empirically assesses the impact of the changes in women’s characteristics, empowerment, availability and quality of health services on woman’s decision to use antenatal care (ANC) and the frequency of that use during the period 2000-2008. Study Design: The study is a cross-sectional analytical study using 2000 and 2008 Egypt Demographic and health Surveys. methods: The assessment of the studied impact is conducted using the Zero-inflated Negative Binomial Regression. In addition, Factor Analysis technique is used to construct some of the explanatory variables such as women’s empowerment, the availability and quality of health services indicators. Results: Utilization of antenatal health care services is greatly improved from 2000 to 2008. Availability of health services is one of the main determinants that affect the number of antenatal care visits in 2008. Wealth index and quality of health services play an important role in raising the level of antenatal care utilization in 2000 and 2008. however, the impact of the terminated pregnancy on receiving ANC increased over time. Conclusions: Further research of the determinants of antenatal health care utilization is needed, using more updated measures of women’s empowerment, availability and quality of health services. In order to improve the provision of antenatal health care services, it is important to understand barriers to antenatal health care utilization. Therefore, it is advisable to collect information from women about the reasons for not receiving antenatal care.

Noninvasive low-intensity extracorporeal shockwave treatment(Li-ESWT)has been widely used to treat erection *** is no clear information regarding either the selection of patients for the treatment or the treatment *** this study,we aimed to investigate the efficacy of extracorporeal shockwave therapy in diabetic patients with severe erectile dysfunction(International Index of Erectile Function-5[IIEF-5]scores of 5 to 7).Sixty-three diabetes mellitus patients with erectile dysfunction having IIEF-5 scores of 5 to 7 and not showing a recovery of potency despite phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor therapy for the past 6 months were included in the *** patients were evaluated based on their IIEF-5 scores and Erection hardness Scale *** IIEF-5 score(mean±standard deviation[s.d.])increased from 5.29±1.67 to 5.56±1.85,with a difference of 0.27±0.18(P>0.05).The Erection hardness Scale scores(mean±s.d.),on the other hand,increased from 1.46±0.50 to 1.48±0.50,with a difference of 0.02±0(P>0.05).In conclusion,the response to phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors did not change after extracorporeal shockwave treatment in diabetes mellitus patients with severe erectile dysfunction(IIEF-5 scores of 5 to 7).

Foreign body ingestion encompasses both foreign object ingestion(FOI) and esophageal food impaction(EFI) and represents a common and clinically significant scenario among patients of all ages. The immediate risk to the patient ranges from negligible to life-threatening, depending on the ingested substance,its location, patient fitness, and time to appropriate therapy. This article reviews the FOI and EFI literature and highlights important considerations and implications for pediatric and adult patients as well as their providers. Where published literature is insufficient to provide evidence-based guidance, expert opinion is included to supplement the content of this comprehensive review.

Black carrots （Daucus earota L. spp. sativus. ） were fermented for 4 weeks by using six different starter dough formulations. Some of the samples were pasteurized to detemaine the effects of heat treatment on fermentation. Fermentation was followed by physicochemical and microbiological analysis. Some characteristics such as dry matter, crude fiber, water soluble extract, alcohol soluble extract, ether soluble extract, crude energy, total sugar, ph, salt and colour values and mineral contents of black carrot were determined. In the beginning of the fermentation, dry matter is highest in the brines with coriandrium and dry matter of the other brines are close to each other and lower than that of the brines with coriander. The number of Lactic acid bacteria, total bacteria, moulds-yeasts and coliform bacteria decreased through the end of fermentation. heat treatment had a considerable effect on microbial growth. The microbial growth was higher in the nnpastenrized samples. Total bacteria number reached the highest level for the pasteurized samples （ 104 cfu/mL - 105 cfu/mL ） and for the unpasteurized samples （106 cfu/mL - 107 cfu/mL） in the second day. After the fermentation, sensory analyses were carried out to determine the storage stability of the last products. While ＂a＂ value increased, ＂b＂ and ＂L＂ values decreased during storage time. Yoghurt inoculated brine were preferred from the colour, odour and acceptability points of view.

In this paper, we have used the homotopy perturbation and the Adomian decomposition methods to study the nonlinear coupled Kortewge-de Vries and shallow water equations. The main objective of this paper is to propose alternative methods of solutions, which do not require small parameters and avoid linearization and physical unrealistic assumptions. The proposed methods give more general exact solutions without much extra effort and the results reveal that the homotopy perturbation and the Adomian decomposition methods are very effective, convenient and quite accurate to the systems of coupled nonlinear equations.

This paper presents the stability of two-dimensional functionally graded(2D-FG)cylindrical shells subjected to combined external pressure and axial compression loads,based on classical shell *** material properties of functionally graded cylindrical shell are graded in two directional(radial and axial)and determined by the rule of *** Euler’s equation is employed to derive the stability equations,which are solved by GDQ method to obtain the critical mechanical buckling loads of the 2D-FG cylindrical *** effects of shell geometry,the mechanical properties distribution in radial and axial direction on the critical buckling load are studied and compared with a cylindrical shell made of *** numerical results reveal that the 2D-FGm has a significant effect on the critical buckling load.

Aims Litterfall at a global scale is affected by climate,edaphic features and vegetation structure,with litter production increasing from grasslands to forests following the rise in standing ***,at landscape scales,the same relationship between litter production and vegetation structure has rarely been studied and comparisons of litterfall patterns between adjacent,structurally distinct communities are ***,we use a standardized methodology to describe the structural differences among four savanna physiognomies and analyze their relationship with changes in litterfall across the *** We evaluated the woody vegetation structure and composition in 48 sites,equally distributed across four physiognomies and monitored the monthly litter production from April 2014 to march *** Findings Results showed that the density,basal area,cylindrical volume and aboveground biomass of woody vegetation differ among physiognomies,increasing consistently from cerrado ralo,cerrado típico,cerrado denso and cerradã***,we found a strong and positive relationship between aboveground biomass and annual litter production,with litter yield increasing from 0.9 to 8.4 mg ha^(−1)across different physiognomies,following the increment in vegetation *** production was seasonal and similar among vegetation types,increasing during the dry *** comprised the dominant fraction(approx.85%)and litterfall seasonality primarily resulted from the concentration of leaf shedding during dry ***,the temporal pattern of litterfall throughout the year showed a gradual reduction in the seasonality from open to closed vegetation types,likely following the decrease of deciduous species abundance in the plant *** results showed that changes in vegetation structure may affect spatial and temporal litterfall patterns in different physiognomies,which co-occur across the Cerrado landscape,with potential implications for the overall f

Increasingly harsh service conditions place higher requirements for the high strain-rate performance of titanium *** shear band(ASB),a phenomenon prone to dynamic loading,is often accom-panied by catastrophic ***,it is unclear how the internal nanostructures are related to shear *** we report detailed microstructural evolution in the ASB of a titanium alloy via in-depth focused ion beam(FIB),transmission Kikuchi diffraction(TKD),and high-resolution transmission electron microscope(hRTEm)analyses,with the deformation instability phenomenon discussed from the energy *** ASB interior undergoes multifaceted changes,namely deformation-induced beta-to-alpha transformation and deformation-induced martensitic transformation to form substantially refined and heterogeneous ***,two types of extremely fine twins are identified to occur within both nano-sized martensite and alpha *** critical plastic work representing the onset of adiabatic shear instability and dynamic equilibrium is observed to be constant for a specific structure in the same deformation *** energy analysis could be extended to other materials subjected to high strain-rate dynamic deformation.
