A dual-channel solar thermal storage wall system with eutectic phase change material is *** full-day cooling load in summer and heating load in winter can be both decreased by this novel *** investigate the airflow in the dual channel,mixed area assumptions based on the experimental results are *** mathematical models of the system under four work modes are established and verified by the experimental *** average RmSD(root mean square deviation)value is 0.35%in summer and 0.95% in *** analyzing the heat flux,the combination of dual channel and PCm is proven to decrease and delay cooling load both in the daytime and nighttime of *** winter's daytime,the thermal efficiency is promoted by the dual *** in winter’s nighttime,the system is able to heat the room constantly by the PCm *** on parameter researches,the optimum phase change temperature range and the optimum thickness of the PCm are 26-30℃,1.5 cm in summer and 16-22℃,0.6 cm in winter *** reach the optimum annual thermal performance,the coverage area is 2 m^(2) for this system.

The epitaxial growth conditions and performance of a diode-pumped GaSb-based optically pumped semiconductor disk laser(SDL) emitting near 2.0 μm in an external cavity configuration are reported. The high quality epitaxial structure,grown on Te-doped(001) oriented GaSb substrate by molecular beam epitaxy, consists of a distributed Bragg reflector(DBR), a multi-quantum-well gain region, and a window layer. An intra-cavity SiC heat spreader was attached to the gain chip for effective thermal management. A continuous-wave output power of over 1 W operating at 2.03 μm wavelength operating near room temperature was achieved using a 3% output coupler.

many previous studies have focused on the foraging behaviors and strategies of the red imported fire ants, Solenopsis invicta Buren on solid food or granular bait; little attention has been paid to how liquid sugar is fed upon. In the present study, behavioral responses ofS. invicta to 25% sucrose water droplets were observed. Five foraging patterns were identified in S. invicta colonies under laboratory conditions：（i） no feeding, no sucrose water feeding was observed; （ii） surround feeding, ants surrounded and fed along the edge of the sucrose droplet; （iii） stacked feeding, ants stacked and fed along the edge of the sucrose droplet; （iv） droplet-break feeding, ants broke the liquid droplet and sucked sucrose water that spread on surface of the substance or soil particles previously transported by ants; and （v） cover feeding, whole surface of the sucrose droplet was covered by layers of feeding ants. This is the first time cover feeding in S. invicta has been reported, which obviously requires more ants compared to the other patterns. In addition, individual ants were tracked in videos under laboratory conditions, and behavioral repertoires that led to stacking, covering and droplet-breaking were identified and described. The field investigation showed that surround feeding was most frequently performed by S. invicta foragers; however, cover feeding was not observed under field conditions during this study. Both laboratory and field studies showed colony-level variations in sugar-water feeding.

Objective:To identify the Leishmania species in infected sand flies by Real-time PCR coupled with hRm ***:Real-time PCR coupled with hRm analysis targeting the first internal transcribed spacer(ITS1)of nuclear ribosomal DNA as the genetic marker was used to identify and distinguish Lelthmania species in sand flies ***:Three out of 115females of Phlebotomus sergenti(***)(2.6%)were positive to Leishmania tropica(***).Conclusions:This is the first report on *** as the main and proven vector of anthroponitic cutaneous leishmaniasis in Dehbakri County using Real-time PCR coupled with hUm *** method is rapid,sensitive and specific for diagnosing of parasites in infected Sand flies and ideal for large scale genotyping projects.

Since its introduction,discontinuous deformation analysis(DDA)has been widely used in different areas of rock *** dividing large blocks into subblocks and introducing artificial joints,DDA can be applied to rock fracture ***,parameter calibration,a fundamental issue in discontinuum methods,has not received enough attention in *** this study,the parameter calibration of DDA for intact rock is carefully *** this end,a subblock DDA with Voronoi tessellation is presented ***,a modified contact constitutive law is introduced,in which the tensile and shear meso-strengths are modified to be independent of the bond *** improvement can prevent the unjustified preferential failure of short edges.A method for imposing confining pressure is also ***,sensitivity analysis is performed to investigate the influence of the calculated parameters and meso-parameters on the mechanical properties of modeled *** on the sensitivity analysis,a unified calibration procedure is suggested for both cases with and without confining ***,the calibration procedure is applied to two examples,including a biaxial compression *** results show that the proposed Voronoi-based DDA can simulate rock fracture with and without confining pressure very well after careful parameter calibration.

Simulation of three-stage operating temperature for supersaturation water-based condensational growth tube

In order to realize accurate dynamic control of supersaturation and to study condensation growth characteristics of nanoparticles through different levels of super saturation,a series of parametric analyses and systematic comparisons between two-stage and three-stage operating temperature designs were simulated with COmSOL *** simulation results showed that the three-stage operating temperature did not change peak supersaturation compared with two operating temperatures,and the three-stage operating temperature was superior in decreasing the amount of water vapor and the temperature,thus lowering particle loss and variation in detection and *** peak supersaturation level increased by 0.3 as the flow rate increased from 0.6 to 2.0 L/min,but the supersaturation peak moved from 0.0027 z0 to 0.08 z0(i.e.,the growth time and the final size decreased by 40%).Peak supersaturation increased as the temperature difference increased or the temperature difference window was shifting left,and minimum activation size *** the 70℃temperature difference window from 9℃,79℃-1℃,71℃for the condenser and initiator temperatures resulted in peak supersaturation in the centerline being above 5.8,and the activation size changed as low as 1 *** with flow rates varying by a factor of 2.5(from 0.6 to 1.5 L/min)resulted in a final size decrease of 43%(from 3.2 to 1.8μm),and experimental results of outlet particle size distributions were equivalent with theoretical analysis as the operating temperature was changed.

Launching a paradigm for first and redo-surgery in primary congenital glaucoma: institutional experience

AIm: To evaluate the outcome of the initial and the redo-surgeries for primary congenital glaucoma(PCG) correlated to its degree of severity. mEThODS: A retrospective study involved patients with PCG presented between 2010 and 2018. medical records were reviewed to assess the degree of the preoperative severity according to the intraocular pressure(IOP), corneal diameter and corneal edema. Success and failure rates were calculated for both first and redo-surgeries at 6 and 12 mo respectively then correlated to the severity of the cases. RESULTS: Complete records were retrieved for 272 eyes(153 patients) with PCG: 43 eyes were mild, 136 moderate and 93 severe. Combined trabeculotomy and trabeculectomy(CTT) had the highest success rate in moderate(96.4%) and severe cases(59.3%) while trabeculotomy had the highest success rate in mild cases(96.3%). medical records of 88 eyes(63 patients) with recurrent PCG were analyzed, most with severe presentation(59 eyes). Ahmed glaucoma valve(AGV) was used in 67(76%) eyes and augmented trabeculectomy in 21(24%) eyes. At 12 mo, there was no statistically significant difference between both surgeries in total success rate(P=0.256). For mild cases, success rate was 100% for both surgeries. Severe cases had higher success rates following AGV(87%) than augmented trabeculectomy(20%). Preoperative severity of the disease was an independent factor affecting the failure rate in secondary trabeculectomy but not in AGV. Patients younger than 24 mo had higher probabilities of failure following both redo-surgeries with hazard ratio =1.325 and 0.37 for augmented trabeculectomy and AGV respectively. CONCLUSION: Preoperative assessment of the severity of eyes with PCG helps in the selecting the optimal primary and secondary surgery. For first surgery, trabeculotomy is more effective in mild cases whereas; CTT and augmented subscleral trabeculectomy(SST) are appropriate for moderate and severe cases. Searching for advanced anode materials with excellent electrochemical properties in sodium-ion battery is essential and imperative for next-generation energy storage system to solve the energy shortage *** this work,two-dimensional(2D)ultrathin FePS3 nanosheets,a typical ternary metal phosphosulfide,are first prepared by ultrasonic *** novel 2D/2D heterojunction of FePS3 nanosheets@mXene composite is then successfully synthesized by in situ mixing ultrathin mXene nanosheets with FePS3 *** resultant FePS3 nanosheets@mXene hybrids can increase the electronic conductivity and specific surface area,assuring excellent surface and interfacial charge transfer ***,the unique heterojunction endows FePS3 nanosheets@mXene composite to promote the diffusion of Na^+ and alleviate the drastic change in volume in the cyclic process,enhancing the sodium storage ***,the few-layered FePS3 nanosheets uniformly coated by ultrathin mXene provide an exceptional reversible capacity of 676.1 mAh g^−1 at the current of 100 mA g^−1 after 90 cycles,which is equivalent to around 90.6% of the second-cycle capacity(746.4 mAh g^−1).This work provides an original protocol for constructing 2D/2D material and demonstrates the FePS3@mXene composite as a potential anode material with excellent property for sodium-ion batteries.
