Effect of Hardfaced Interlayer Thickness and Low Hydrogen Ferritic Capping on Ballistic Performance of Shielded metal Arc Welded Armour Steel Joints

Armour grade quenched and tempered steel closely confirming to AISI 4340 is well known for its superior ballistic performance and hence used in the fabrication of combat vehicles. The traditional fillers like austenitic stain- less steel showed poor ballistic performance of these welded joints as compared to the base metal. Attempts have been made to deposit hardfaced interlayer between austenitic stainless steel weld metals. Though this method, mar-- ginal improvements in ballistic performance can be yielded, and cracks were observed in between base metal and hardfaced layer. Thickness of the hardfaced interlayer plays a vital role for the effective ballistic performance. Thus, an attempt has been made to investigate the effect of hardfaced interlayer thickness on ballistic performance of ar- mour steel welds. The results of effect of buttering, low hydrogen ferritic （LHF） filler and three different hardfaced layer thicknesses （4, 5.5 and 7 ram） on ballistid performance of shielded metal arc welded armour steel joints were given.

Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)are one of the most important improvements due to their remarkable capacities and their continuous growth in various ***,the lifetime of WSNs is very confined because of the delimited energy limit of their sensor *** is the reason why energy conservation is considered the main exploration worry for *** this energy-efficient routing is required to save energy and to subsequently drag out the lifetime of *** this report we use the Ant Colony Optimization(ACO)method and are evaluated using the genetic Algorithm(gA),based on the Detour non-split dominant set(gA)In this research,we use the energy efficiency returnee non-split dominating set(DNSDS).A set S⊆V is supposed to be a DNSDS of g when the graph g=(V,E)is expressed as both detours as well as a non-split dominating set of *** the detour non-split domination number be addressed asγ_dns(g)and is the minimum order of its detour non-split dominating *** DNSDS of orderγdns(g)is aγdns-set of ***,theγ_dns(g)of various standard graphs is resolved and some of its general properties are contemplated.A connected graph usually has an order n with detour non-split domination number as n or n–1 are *** connected graphs of order n≥4 and detour diameter D≤4 with detour non-split dominating number n or n−1 or n−2 are additionally *** considering any pair of positive integers to be specific a and b,there exists a connected graph g which is normally indicated as dn(g)=a,γ(g)=b andγdns(g)=a+b−2,hereγdns(g)indicates the detour domination number and dn(g)indicates the detour number of a *** time is taken for the construction and the size of DNSDS are considered for examining the performance of the proposed *** simulation result confirms that the DNSDS nodes are energy efficient.

The present investigation is concerned with the effect of rotation on an infi- nite circular cylinder subjected to certain boundary conditions. An analytical procedure for evaluation of thermal stresses, displacements, and temperature in rotating cylinder subjected to thermal load along the radius is presented. The dynamic thermal stresses in an infinite elastic cylinder of radius a due to a constant temperature applied to a variable portion of the curved surface while the rest of surface is maintained at zero temperature are discussed. Such situation can arise due to melting of insulating material deposited on the surface cylinder. A solution and numerical results are obtained for the stress components, displacement components, and temperature. The results obtained from the present semi-analytical method are in good agreement with those obtained by using the previously developed methods.

In continuation of research to explore the applied potential of DmF-like ionic liquid, the ionic liquid version of N,N-dimethyliminiumchloride （Vilsmier reagent） has been synthesized from DmF-like ionic liquid and tested effectively for its capacity to achieve more useful organic transformations. The results show that DmF-like ionic liquid is world＇s first task specific ionic liquid which has catalyzed numerous diverse type of reaction and is multipurpose in its application. Thus a new term for this DmF-like ionic liquid has been coined that is DmF-like ＂multipurpose＂ ionic liquid.

This paper discusses the applicability of relevance vector machine(RVm)based regression to predict the compressive strength of various self compacting concrete(SCC)*** strength data various SCC mixes has been consolidated by considering the effect of water cement ratio,water binder ratio and steel *** vector machine(RVm)is a machine learning technique that uses Bayesian inference to obtain parsimonious solutions for regression and *** RVm has an identical functional form to the support vector machine,but provides probabilistic classification and *** is based on a Bayesian formulation of a linear model with an appropriate prior that results in a sparse *** strength model has been developed by using mATLAB software for training and *** 75%of the data has been used for development of model and 30%of the data is used for *** predicted compressive strength for SCC mixes is found to be in very good agreement with those of the corresponding experimental observations available in the literature.

The interaction of overbased salicylate detergents with zinc dialkyldithiophosphates （ZDDP） and its effect on the formation of tribofilms under boundary lubrication have been studied by means of X-ray absorption near-edge structure spectroscopy. The results show that addition of metallic detergents to neat ZDDP results in the change of surface chemistry of the tribofilm formed from neat ZDDP. Calcium from detergents is digested in the tribofilm. For the high overbased detergents, the deposit of overbasing agent CaCO3 in the tribofilm is also observed along with the formation of calcium phosphate in tribofilms.

The properties of γ-ray-reduced graphene oxide samples(gRgOs)were compared with those of hydrazine hydrate-reduced graphene oxide(HRgO).Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffractometry,Raman spectroscopy,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area analysis,thermogravimetric analysis,electrometry,and cyclic voltammetry were carried out to verify the reduction process,structural changes,and defects of the samples,as well as to measure their thermal,electrical,and electrochemical *** with γ-rays distorted the structure of gRgOs and generated massive defects through the extensive formation of new smaller sp^(2)-hybridized domains compared with those of *** thermal stability of gRgOs was higher than that of HRgO,indicating the highly efficient removal of thermally-labile oxygen species by γ-*** prepared at 80 kgy showed a pseudocapacitive behavior comparable with the electrical double-layer capacitance behavior of ***,the specific capacitance of gRgO was enhanced by nearly three times compared with that of *** results reflect the advantages of radiation reduction in energy storage applications.

Heavy-ion-acoustic(HIA) waves in an unmagnetized collisionless plasma system comprising superthermal electrons, Boltzmann distributed light ions, and adiabatic positively charged inertial heavy ions have been investigated both numerically and analytically. The well-known reductive perturbation method has been used to derive the Kortewegde Vries(K-d V) and Burgers(Bg) equations. The parametric regimes for the existence of both the positive and negative solitary and shock waves have been obtained. The effects of adiabaticity of heavy ions and superthermality of electrons,which are found to notably modify the fundamental features(viz. polarity, amplitude, phase speed, etc.) of HIA solitary and shock waves, are precisely studied. The results of our theoretical investigation can be applicable to understand the characteristics and basic nonlinear structures of HIA waves both in space and laboratory plasma situations.

Single crystals of red Tl2S5 were prepared by a special modified verticalBridgman and Stockbarger technique. This growth was performed in our laboratory. The influences oftemperature on the electrical conductivity, Hall mobility, carrier concentration, and thermoelectricpower (TEP) were carried out in the temperature range 277-413 K. Throughout these measurements,various physical parameters such as effective mass of charge carriers, carrier mobility, diffusioncoefficient, and the relaxation time for both majority and minority carriers were found.
