This article focuses on the relationship between mathematical morphology operations and rough sets,mainly based on the context of image retrieval and the basic image correspondence *** morphological procedures and set approximations in rough set theory have some clear *** initiatives have been made to connect rough sets with mathematical *** significant publications have been written in this *** attempt to show a direct connection between mathematical morphology and rough sets through relations,a pair of dual operations,and neighborhood *** sets are used to suggest a strategy to approximatemathematicalmorphology within the general paradigm of soft computing.A single framework is defined using a different technique that incorporates the key ideas of both rough sets and mathematical *** paper examines rough set theory from the viewpoint of mathematical morphology to derive rough forms of themorphological structures of dilation,erosion,opening,and *** newly defined structures are applied to develop algorithm for the differential analysis of chest X-ray images from a COVID-19 patient with acute pneumonia and a health *** algorithm and rough morphological operations show promise for the delineation of lung occlusion in COVID-19 patients from chest *** foundations of mathematical morphology are covered in this *** that,rough set theory ideas are taken into account,and their connections are ***,a suggested image retrieval application of the concepts from these two fields is provided.

Zinc carnosine-based modified bismuth quadruple therapy vs standard triple therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication: A randomized controlled study

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(***)infection is a worldwide problem with increasing burden on the health sector due to its increasing rate of *** conventional triple therapy(TT)is becoming obsolete with a high failure rate of eradication,necessitating the need for better alternatives or *** To investigate *** eradication rate of TT vs modified bismuth quadruple *** Ninety-two patients with dyspepsia symptoms and positive ^(13)C-urea breath test were randomly assigned to two *** first group(control group)was treated for 14 d using standard TT protocol:Esomeprazole(40 mg twice daily),amoxicillin(1 g twice daily)and clarithromycin(500 mg twice daily).On the other hand,the second group was prescribed a 10-d course of modified bismuth quadruple therapy fortified with zinc carnosine:TT in addition to bismuth subcitrate(240 mg twice daily)and zinc carnosine(75 mg twice daily).A repeated 13C-urea breath test was done 4 wk after the completion of the eradication *** Among the 92 subjects,67.4%were males and 32.6%were *** were no differences in demographic characteristics(age,body mass index,smoking history,previous antibiotics use and ethnicity)between the modified bismuth quadruple therapy group and TT *** eradication rate was higher[93.5%(43/46)]in the modified bismuth quadruple therapy group compared to 69.6%(32/46)in the standard TT group(P=0.003).Of the tested predictor variables,only nationality,smoking and therapy type were statistically *** dizziness,which was recorded in modified bismuth quadruple therapy group,there were no significant differences in side effects between the two *** Ten days of modified bismuth quadruple therapy fortified with zinc carnosine is superior to 14 d of conventional TT in eradicating *** infection,with no additional significant adverse events.

Controllable synthesis of Na P zeolite and its application in calcium adsorption

NaP zeolite particles were prepared through a template-free hydrothermal condition at 100oC. Parameters like Na2O/Si O2 and Si O2/Al2O3 molar ratios, gel aging time and aging temperature were investigated for regulating the crystallization of the final product. The samples at different synthesis stages were characterized with N2 adsorption at-196oC, field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEm), temperature programmed desorption of ammonia adsorption, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric and differential scanning calorimetry analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The experimental results evidenced that a high ordering crystallinity of Na P zeolite was obtained at Na2O/Si O2 and Si O2/Al2O3 molar ratios of 1.10 and 1.40, respectively, and a temperature of 100°C for 4 days of aging. FE-SEm image exhibited polycrystalline aggregates of Na P zeolite with crystallite sizes ranging up to 5.04 μm with cactus/cabbage like structures. The quantitative analysis of the total number of acid sites was found to increase as Na2 O increases. The Na P zeolite sample with a Na2O/Si O2 molar ratio of 1.13 exhibited a large fraction of the acid sites on its external surface, contrary to that synthesized with a relevant ratio of 1.10. The optimized Na P zeolite could be successfully bestowed with excellent sorption properties of Ca(II) in aqueous solution. The kinetic parameters for Ca(II) adsorption were thoroughly investigated.

Price Prediction of Seasonal Items Using machine Learning and Statistical methods

Price prediction of goods is a vital point of research due to how common e-commerce platforms *** are several efforts conducted to forecast the price of items using classicmachine learning algorithms and *** models can predict prices of various financial instruments,e.g.,gold,oil,cryptocurrencies,stocks,and second-hand *** these efforts,the literature has no model for predicting the prices of seasonal goods(e.g.,Christmas gifts).In this context,we framed the task of seasonal goods price prediction as a regression ***,we utilized a real online trailer dataset of Christmas gifts and then we proposed several machine learningbased models and one statistical-based model to predict the prices of these seasonal ***,we utilized a real-life dataset of Christmas gifts for the prediction ***,we proposed support vector regressor(SVR),linear regression,random forest,and ridgemodels as machine learningmodels for price ***,we proposed an autoregressive-integrated-movingaverage(ARImA)model for the same purpose as a statistical-based ***,we evaluated the performance of the proposed models;the comparison shows that the best performing model was the random forest model,followed by the ARImA model.

The determining equations for the nonclassical symmetry reductions of nonlinear partial differential equations with arbitrary order can be obtained by requiring the compatibility between the original equations and the invariant surface conditions. The （2＋1）-dimensional shallow water wave equation, Boussinesq equation, and the dispersive wave equations in shallow water serve as examples i11ustrating how compatibility leads quickly and easily to the determining equations for their nonclassical symmetries.

Conventional direct torque control (DTC) is one of the excellent control strategies available to control the torque of the induction machine (Im). However, the low switching frequency of the DTC causes high ripples in the flux and torque that leads to an acoustic noise which degrades the control performances, especially at low speeds. many direct torque control techniques were appeared to remedy these problems by focusing specifically on the torque and flux. In this paper, a state of the art review of various modern techniques for improving the performance of DTC control is presented. The objective is to make a critical analysis of these methods in terms of ripples reduction, tracking speed, switching loss, algorithm complexity and parameter sensitivity. Further, it is envisaged that the information presented in this review paper will be a valuable gathering of information for academic and industrial researchers.

Cancer is a frightful disease and represents one of the biggest health-care issues for the human race and demands a proactive strategy for cure. Plants are reservoirs for novel chemical entities and provide a promising line for research on cancer. Hitherto, being effective, chemotherapy is accompanied by certain unbearable side effects. Nevertheless,plants and plant derived products is a revolutionizing field as these are Simple, safer, ecofriendly, low-cost, fast, and less toxic as compared with conventional treatment *** are selective in their functions and acts specifically on tumor cells without affecting normal cells. Carcinogenesis is complex phenomena that involves many signaling cascades. Phytochemicals are considered suitable candidates for anticancer drug development due to their pleiotropic actions on target events with multiple manners. The research is in progress for developing potential candidates(those can block or slow down the growth of cancer cells without any side effects) from these phytochemicals. many phytochemicals and their derived analogs have been identified as potential candidates for anticancer therapy. Effort has been made through this comprehensive review to highlight the recent developments and milestones achieved in cancer therapies using phytomolecules with their mechanism of action on nuclear and cellular factors. Furthermore, drugs for cancer treatment and their limitations have also been discussed.

Delayed seed dispersal species and related traits in the desert of the United Arab Emirates

The ability of plants to safely retain seeds in the mother plant is an adaptive mechanism described in many desert ***,research about delayed seed dispersal species in the desert of the United Arab Emirates(UAE)is *** study aims to identify these delayed seed dispersal species and assess the relationships of the presence of delayed seed dispersal with plant growth form,habit,spatial dispersal,antitelechoric mechanism,and seed release *** relationships between the presence of delayed seed dispersal and the above studied traits were assessed by using the Pearson Chi-square test and Nonlinear Principal Components Analysis(NLPCA).Results showed that a total of 46 delayed seed dispersal species were recorded(15.0%of 307 studied species)and the highest incidence occurred in the Fabaceae family(17.4%).Delayed seed dispersal species were predominantly perennial plants(73.9%)with spatial restricted dispersal(67.4%),which released seed in the dry season(45.7%).The dominant groups of delayed seed dispersal species were persistent fruits species and synaptospermy(28.3%).All graminoids showed persistent lignified fruits,while prostrate annuals were basicarpic species with *** habitats had the highest number of delayed seed dispersal species(54.3%),whereas salt flats had the lowest(23.9%).In the desert of the UAE,delayed seed dispersal species spread seeds until the end of the dry and windy season,thus breaking seed dormancy at this time and ensuring seed germination in the next arrival of the rainy *** morphological and ecological adaptation of delayed dispersal species is essential to the survival and sustainable development of vegetation in desert environments.

Positron-Excited Lithium Atom Collisions

The inelastic scattering of positrons by excited lithium alkali atoms Li*(2p) have been investigated within the frame work of the coupled-static and frozen-core approximations with the assumption that the elastic and rearrangement channels are open. In the present work, a rather complicated computer code is developed based on the coupled-static, frozen-core and Green’s function partial wave expansion technique. The partial and total elastic and positronium (Ps) formation cross sections of e+-Li*(2p) are calculated through a wide range of incident energy of positrons ranging from 0.3 eV to 1000 eV. Also, we have calculated the partial and total elastic and rearrangement (reversal of the Ps formation) cross sections of Ps-Li+ collisions through the low, intermediate and high energy regions. The effect of polarization potential of the Ps atom is taken into our consideration. The total cross sections which corresponding to twelve partial cross sections (calculated at twelve values of the total angular momentum l = 0 to l = 11) are calculated for each channel. Our calculated total positronium formation cross sections are compared with experimental results and those calculated by other authors. The present calculations encourage the experimental physicists to carry out positron-lithium experiments by taking the excited lithium target into accounts in order to obtain more positronium especially in the low and intermediate energy regions.
