Positive health:An integrated quantitative approach in patients with chronic gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreatico-biliary disorders

BACKGROUND The concept of positive health(PH)supports an integrated approach for patients by taking into account six dimensions of *** approach is especially relevant for patients with chronic *** gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatico-biliary(GI-HPB)disorders are among the top-6 of the most prevalent chronically affected organ *** impact of chronic GI-HPB disorders on individuals may be disproportionally high because:(1)The affected organ system frequently contributes to a malnourished state;and(2)persons with chronic GIHPB disorders are often younger than persons with chronic diseases in other organ *** To describe and quantify the dimensions of PH in patients with chronic GI-HPB *** Prospective,observational questionnaire study performed between 2019 and 2021 in 235 patients with a chronic GIHPB disorder attending the Outpatient Department of the maastricht University medical *** questionnaires and data from patient files were used to quantify the six dimensions of *** consistency was tested with mcDonald’s ***-order Pearson correlations and t-tests were used to assess associations and differences.A P valueered *** The GI-HPB patients scored significantly worse in all dimensions of PH compared to control data or norm scores from the general *** quality of life,participation and daily functioning,GI-HPB patients scored in the same range as patients with chronic disorders in other organ systems,but depressive symptoms(in 35%)and malnutrition(in 45%)were more frequent in patients with chronic GI-HPB *** scores between the six dimensions were only very weak to weak,forcing us to quantify each domain *** All six dimensions of PH are impaired in the GI-HPB *** and depressive symptoms are more prevalent compared to patients with chronic disorders in other organ systems.

Thermal energy storage(TeS) systems use solar energy despite its irregular availability and day-night temperature *** work reports the thermal characterizations of solar salt-based phase change composites in the presence of graphene nanoplatelets(GNP).Solar salt(60:40 of NaNO_(3):KNO_(3)) possessing phase transition temperature and melting enthalpy of 221.01℃ and 134.58 kJ/kg is proposed as a phase change material(PCm) for high-temperature solar-based energy storage *** conductivity must be improved to make them suitable for widespread applications and to close the gap between the system needs where they are *** is added at weight concentrations of 0.1%,0.3%,and 0.5% with solar salt using the ball milling method to boost its thermal *** studies indicated the formation of a uniform surface of GNP on solar *** spectrum peaks identified the physical interaction between salt and *** characterization of the composites,such as thermal conductivity,DSC and TGA was carried out for the samples earlier and later 300 thermal cycles.0.5% of GNP has improved the thermal conductivity of salt by 129.67% and after thermal cycling,the enhancement reduced to 125.21% indicating that thermal cycling has a minor impact on thermal *** change temperature decreased by around 2.32% in the presence of0.5% GNP and the latent heat reduced by 4.34% after thermal *** thermograms depicted the composites initiated the weight loss at around 550℃ after which it was *** thermal cycling,the weight loss initiated at ~40℃ lower compared to pure salt,which was found to be a minor *** characterization of solar salt and GNP-based solar salt composites revealed that the composites can be used for enhanced heat transfer in high-temperature solar-based heat transfer and energy storage applications.

In this study,we investigate modmax electrodynamics localized within the Randall-Sundrum Ⅱ and Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati branes,deriving corresponding 3-brane spacetime solutions that conform to the effective einstein equations in each specific *** construct solutions for charged black holes within the effective einstein equation framework in both braneworld *** examination explores the trajectories of charged objects in this spacetime,underscoring the significance of the nonlinear *** analysis uncovers the fact that,similar to the prior modmax black hole investigation,the nonlinear parameter plays a pivotal role in suppressing the effective charge of the black hole,due to its definite positive value.

Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in me mory and high frequency *** the improvement of these modern devices,the magnetic coercivity,permeability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the important *** article focuses on improving the magnetic coercivity,magnetic permeability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FeSem),energy dispersive X-ray(eDX),vibrating sample magnetometer(VSm),and an impedance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,magnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRD patterns indicate the formation of spinel cubic structure of the samples with a secondary peak(euFeO_(3))for eu doped *** densities and porosities of the samples follow an inverse trend,where the doped samples’lattice parameters are increased with the increment of rare earth eu *** FTIR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FeSem images,and it is increased from 121 to 198 *** analysis confirms that doping of the eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the eu doped samples is greater than that of the mother alloy(x=0.00).The eDX study shows that there is no impurity contamination in the *** permeability and dielectric measurements show an improved quality factor of the eu-doped samples with low magnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and impedance analysis also show the improved *** the observed properties of the samples,all the investigated ferrites might be strong candidates for potential applications in memory devices,magnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

Jigsaw-Sketch: a fast and accurate algorithm for finding top-k elephant flows in high-speed networks

Finding top-k elephant flows in high-speed networks is one of the most fundamental network measurement tasks. It is more challenging than per-flow size estimation since the IDs and sizes of top-k flows must be tracked simultaneously. most existing studies only record the IDs of a small number of elephant flows to fit their estimators in the extremely limited high-speed on-chip memory. However, these solutions need too many memory accesses when a packet arrives to track the elephant flows with high accuracy, which limits their practicability. Therefore, this paper proposes Jigsaw-Sketch, a new algorithm to find the top-k elephant flows with much fewer memory accesses while achieving high memory efficiency and accuracy. In this design, we propose a novel two-stage jigsaw storage scheme, which can capture the candidate top-k flows from massive network steams efficiently, and further find the top-k elephant flows with high memory efficiency and only a few memory accesses for each packet. extensive experimental results based on real network traces show that Jigsaw-Sketch improves the packet processing throughput by at least 86%, while achieving smaller memory footprints and higher accuracy compared to the SOTA.

We investigate the phenomenon of pair production of massive scalar particles with magnetic charge near the horizon of a magnetized dyonic Reissner-Nordstrom black *** intrinsic symmetry between the electric and magnetic quantities in the einstein-maxwell equations suggests that the pair can be generated through Hawking radiation and the Schwinger effect,provided that the Dirac quantization condition is satisfied.
