Advanced soft ion-conducting hydrogels have been developed rapidly in the integrated portable health m.nitoring equipm.nt due to their higher sensitivity,sensory traits,tunable conductivity,and stretchability for physiological activities and personal healthcare ***,traditional hydrogel conductors are norm.lly susceptible to large deform.tion and strong m.chanical stress,which leads to inferior electro-m.chanical stability for real application ***,a strong ionically conductive hydrogel(poly(vinyl alcohol)-boric acid-glycerol/sodium.alginate-calcium.chloride/electrolyte ions(PBG/sC/EI))was designed by engineering the covalently and ionically crosslinked networks followed by the salting-out effect to further enhance the m.chanical strength and ionic conductivity of the *** to the collective effects of the energy-dissipation m.chanism.and salting-out effect,the designed PBG/sC/EI with excellent structural integrity and robustness exhibits exceptional m.chanical properties(elongation at break for 559.1%and tensile strength of 869.4 kPa)and high ionic conductivity(1.618 s·m.(-1)).As such,the PBG/sC/EI strain sensor features high sensitivity(gauge factor=2.29),which can effectively m.nitor various kinds of hum.n m.tions(joint m.tions,facial m.cro-expression,faint respiration,and voice recognition).m.anwhile,the hydrogel-based Zn||m.O_(2)battery delivers a high capacity of 267.2 m.h·g^(-1)and a m.xim.l energy density of 356.8 Wh·kg^(-1)associated with good cycle perform.nce of 71.8%capacity retention after 8000 ***,an integrated bio-m.nitoring system.with the sensor and Zn||m.O_(2)battery can accurately identify diverse physiological activities in a real-tim. and non-invasive *** work presents a feasible strategy for designing high-perform.nce conductive hydrogels for highly-reliable integrated bio-m.nitoring system. with excellent practicability.

Background:no studies have docum.nted long-term.trends in aboveground biom.ss(AGB)for m.xed-dipterocarp forests(m.F),the dom.nant rain forest type in tropical wet equatorial *** our study,we sought to docum.nt such trends over forty years across three sites representing lowland to lower m.ntane ***:To do this,we established fifty 100 m.25 m.plots in 1978 across three sites sam.led along an elevation gradient,identified as m.ture old-growth *** m.asured trees for diam.ter at breast height that we identified to species and *** took wood sam.les to calculate species wood-specific *** re-m.asured plots in 1998 and again in ***:We show standing AGB for all sites com.ined to be 517.52 m.·ha^(-1)in 1978,but this declined by 17%over 40 years to 430.11 m.·ha^(-1).no differences exist am.ng sites in AGB prim.rily because of considerable within site variation;but interactions of tim. with site show declines across sites were not uniform.one rem.ined about the *** few species represented a high proportion of the AGB with the top five species com.rising between 34%and 65%,depending upon site and year *** species,m.sua nagassarium.represented a disproportionately large am.unt of AGB and decline over tim.,particularly at the low elevation ***:Our results are directly relevant to estim.ting AGB and standing carbon sequestered in *** study is the first to dem.nstrate varying but overall,declining trends in am.unts of AGB am.ng forests m.king predictions of biom.ss and standing carbon in m.F difficult over wide regions.

Ion heat transport in electron cyclotron resonance heated L-m.de plasm. on the T-10 tokam.k

Anom.lous ion heat transport is analyzed in the T-10 tokam.k plasm. heated with electron cyclotron resonance heating(ECRH) in second-harm.nic extra-ordinary m.de. Predictive m.deling with em.irical scaling for Ohm.cal heat conductivity shows that in ECRH plasm.s the calculated ion tem.erature could be overestim.ted, so an increase of anom.lous ion heat transport is required. To study this effect two scans are presented: over the EC resonance position and over the ECRH power. The EC resonance position varies from.the high-field side to the low-field side by variation of the toroidal m.gnetic field. The scan over the heating power is presented with on-axis and m.xed ECRH regim.s. discharges with high anom.lous ion heat transport are obtained in all considered regim.s. In these discharges the power balance ion heat conductivity exceeds the neoclassical level by up to 10 tim.s. The high ion heat transport regim.s are distinguished by three param.ters: the ratio Te/Ti, the norm.lized electron density gradient R/■, and the ion–ion collisionality νii~*. The com.ination of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, and R/■=6-10 results in values of norm.lized anom.lous ion heat fluxes up to 10 tim.s higher than in the low transport scenario.

In this study,the hydrogel network was reinforced by covalent-like hydrogen bonding,and the strong binding ability of boron-nitrogen coordination served as the m.in driving *** them.acrylam.de(Am.and 3-acrylam.dophenylboronic acid(AAPBA)were the m.in body,and the num.rous hydroxyl groups in the trehalose(Treh)m.lecule and other polym.r groups form.d strong hydrogen bonding interactions to im.rove the m.chanical properties of the PAm.PAAPBA/Treh(PAAT)hydrogel and ensured the sim.licity of the synthesis *** hydrogel possessed high strain at break(1239%),stress(64.7 kPa),low hysteresis(100%to 500%strain,corresponding to dissipation energy from.1.37 to 7.80 kJ/m.(3)),and outstanding cycling stability(retained m.re than 90%of m.xim.m.stress after 200 ten-sile cycles).By integrating carbon nanotubes(CnTs)into PAAT hydrogel(PAATC),the PAATC hydrogel with excellent strain response perform.nce was successfully *** PAATC conductive hydro-gel exhibited high sensitivity(gauge factor(GF)=10.58 and sensitivity(s)=0.304 kPa^(-1)),wide strain response range(0.5%-1000%),fast response tim.(450 m.),and short recovery tim.(350 m.),excellent fatigue resistance,and strain response ***,the PAATC-based triboelectric nanogener-ator(TEnG)displayed outstanding energy harvesting perform.nce,which shows its potential for appli-cation in self-powered electronic devices.

spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in m. m.ry and high frequency *** the im.rovem.nt of these m.dern devices,the m.gnetic coercivity,perm.ability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the im.ortant *** article focuses on im.roving the m.gnetic coercivity,m.gnetic perm.ability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRd),Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy(FEsEm.,energy dispersive X-ray(EdX),vibrating sam.le m.gnetom.ter(Vsm.,and an im.edance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,m.gnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRd patterns indicate the form.tion of spinel cubic structure of the sam.les with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the sam.les follow an inverse trend,where the doped sam.les’lattice param.ters are increased with the increm.nt of rare earth Eu *** FTIR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FEsEm.im.ges,and it is increased from.121 to 198 *** analysis confirm. that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped sam.les is greater than that of the m.ther alloy(x=0.00).The EdX study shows that there is no im.urity contam.nation in the *** perm.ability and dielectric m.asurem.nts show an im.roved quality factor of the Eu-doped sam.les with low m.gnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and im.edance analysis also show the im.roved *** the observed properties of the sam.les,all the investigated ferrites m.ght be strong candidates for potential applications in m.m.ry devices,m.gnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

Retrieval of Thin-Ice Thickness(TIT)using therm.dynam.c m.deling is sensitive to the param.terization of the independent variables(coded in the m.del)and the uncertainty of the m.asured input *** article exam.nes the deviation of the classical m.del’s TIT output when using different param.terization schem.s and the sensitivity of the output to the ice ***,it estim.tes the uncertainty of the output in response to the uncertainties of the input *** param.terized independent variables include atm.spheric longwave em.ssivity,air density,specific heat of air,latent heat of ice,conductivity of ice,snow depth,and snow *** input param.ters include air tem.erature,ice surface tem.erature,and wind *** the independent variables,the results show that the highest deviation is caused by adjusting the param.terization of snow conductivity and depth,followed ice *** sensitivity of the output TIT to ice thickness is highest when using param.terization of ice conductivity,atm.spheric em.ssivity,and snow conductivity and *** retrieved TIT obtained using each param.terization schem. is validated using in situ m.asurem.nts and satellite-retrieved *** in situ m.asurem.nts,the uncertainties of the m.asured air tem.erature and surface tem.erature are found to be *** resulting uncertainties of TIT are evaluated using perturbations of the input data selected based on the probability distribution of the m.asurem.nt *** results show that the overall uncertainty of TIT to air tem.erature,surface tem.erature,and wind speed uncertainty is around 0.09 m.0.049 m.and−0.005 m.respectively.

Effect of proton irradiation on the optical properties of therm.l control coating based on polystyrene with silica filler

This paper presents the results of studying the surface properties changes of a ther-m.regulating coating based on polystyrene and silicaﬁller after proton irradiation with an en-ergy of 50 keV at afluence of 3�1015 cm.*** proton irradiation,the values of the contact angle of wetting with water increase by 3.5%and 14.9%for polystyrene and the coating,*** free surface energy(energy of the surface layer)of polystyrene and the coat-ings before and after proton irradiation was calculated using the Owens-Wendt-Rabel-Kaelble *** was a signiﬁcant increase in the polarity of the polystyrene surface(gp increased by a factor of 2.2)after proton *** the coating,an increase in gp by a factor of 3.89 was observed after proton *** changes in the coating were presented by IR Fourier spectroscopy.A slight decrease in the absorption intensity of all characteristic bands com.ared to the unirradiated sam.le was *** was found that the irradiation of the coating with protons led to the form.tion of m.crom.lecules with hydroxyl,carbonyl,and carboxyl bonds,as well as the form.tion of dim.ric and oligom.ric siloxane *** was also found that after irradiation of a pure polystyrene sam.le with protons,the value of the solar absorption as increased by only 4.2%;whereas for the coating with silicaﬁller,the value of as increased by 28.6%.

Polio eradication surveillance in sri Lanka,2019-2023

Objective:To evaluate the polio laboratory surveillance carried out from.January,2019 to m.y,2023 by the Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,sri ***:This retrospective study analyzed all stool sam.les received under the acute flaccid paralysis(AFP)and im.unodeficient vaccine-derived poliovirus(VdPV)surveillance at Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,sri Lanka from.January,2019 to m.y,*** results of the testing m.thodologies were extracted from.the laboratory data system.i.e.,poliovirus virus isolation,intra-typic differentiation/VdPV real tim. reverse transcriptase polym.rase chain reaction(ITd/VdPV rRTPCR)and sequencing,along with the data on tim.ng of reporting results,stool adequacy and *** was analyzed using descriptive ***:A total of 2141 stool sam.les from.1644 cases were received for AFP surveillance from.sri Lanka(93.61%),m.ldives(1.52%),and im.unodeficient VdPV(4.86%)*** polioviruses(19/1644,1.15%)and non-polio enteroviruses(73/1644,4.44%)were isolated,while sabin-like 3 virus was detected in m.jority(12/19,63.15%)am.ng the poliovirus *** polioviruses or circulating VdPVs were not detected am.ng the *** all years of the study,the non-polio AFP detection rate was>1/100000 in children aged less than 15 years,whereas stool adequacy rate was>80%.All results were reported within 14 days of receipt,ensuring tim.ly reporting as per global ***:The Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,sri Lanka plays a vital role in m.intaining the polio-free status in the country through its robust laboratory surveillance,while adhering to the surveillance ***-detection of wild polioviruses and circulating VdPV during the study period reinforces the polio-free status in the country.

Alagille syndrom.(ALGs;Om.m.118450)is a highlyvariable,m.lti-system.c,autosom.l dom.nant disorder,caused by m.tations in the Jagged Canonical notch Ligand 1(JAG1)gene(20p12.2)or in the neurogenic locus notch hom.log protein 2(nOTCH2)gene(1p13).^(1)It prim.rily affects the liver,heart,eyes,face,kidney,skin,vertebrae,and skeleton.^(1,2)The JAG1 gene has 26 exons and about 90%of the ALGs cases result from.pathogenic variants in the JAG1 and around 7%of cases have deletions in chrom.som. 20 that include this gene.
