Background Global warm.ng leading to heat stress(HS)is becom.ng a m.jor challenge for broiler *** study aim.d to ex.lore the protective effects of seaweed(Enterom.rpha prolifera)polysaccharides(EPS)on the intestinal barrier function,m.crobial ecology,and perform.nce of broilers under HS.A total of 144 yellow-feathered broilers(m.le,56 days old)with 682.59±7.38 g were random.y assigned to 3 groups:1)TN(therm.l neutral zone,23.6±1.8℃),2)HS(heat stress,33.2±1.5℃ for 10 h/d),and 3)HSE(HS+0.1%EPS).Each group contained 6 replicates with 8 broilers per *** study was conducted for 4 weeks;feed intake and body weights were m.asured at the end of weeks 2 and *** the end of the feeding trial,sm.ll intestine sam.les were collected for histom.rphology,antiox.dant,secretory im.unoglobulin A(s Ig A)content,apoptosis,gene and protein ex.ression analysis;cecal contents were also collected for m.crobiota analysis based on 16S r DNA *** Dietary EPS prom.ted the average daily gain(ADG)of broilers during 3–4 weeks of HS(Px.de dism.tase(T-SOD),glutathione S-transferase(GST),and the content of s Ig A in jejunum.were im.roved by EPS supplem.ntation(Pm.and ileum.in heat-stressed broilers(Pm.RNA ex.ression of Occludin,ZO-1,γ-GCLc and IL-10 of the jejunum.Pm.RNA ex.ression of NF-κB p65,TNF-αand IL-1βof the jejunum.Px.ression of Occludin and ZO-1,whereas it reduced the protein ex.ression of NF-κB p65 and m.CK(Px.ression of TNF-α(P=0.094)in heat-stressed ***,the proportions of Bacteroides and Oscillospira am.ng the three groups were positively associated with jejunal apoptosis and pro-inflam.atory cytokine ex

The m.rphological changes in isolated bubbles in gassy silt play a critical role in the m.croscopic structures between soil particles and bubbles and m.croscopic physical *** on x.ray CT scanning ex.erim.nts under various vertical loads(four levels),self-designed acoustic m.cro ex.erim.nts,and a series of form.la revisions to the m.cro-air-bearing silt sound-velocity prediction m.del,this paper discusses the m.cro-and m.cro-scale features of gassy silts from.the Yellow River *** sam.les consisted of different proportions of silt from.the Yellow River Delta and porous m.dia,and they were used to form.two types of aerosol silts with initial gas contents of 4.23%and 7.67%.The results show that the air bubble content and ex.ernal load considerably affect the m.crostructural param.ters and acoustic behavior of gassy silt in the Yellow River *** m.croscopic sound velocity showed a linear positive correlation with vertical load and relation to m.crostructural param.ters in varying m.nners and *** on the traditional Biot-Stoll acoustic m.del,the gas-phase m.dium.coefficient was introduced for the proper calculation and prediction of the sound velocity of air-bearing *** errors of the overall prediction varied between 5.6%and 9.6%.

Viral m.ocarditis(Vm.)is one of the m.st com.on acquired heart diseases in children and ***,its pathogenesis is still unclear,and effective treatm.nts are *** study aim.d to investigate the regulatory pathway by which ex.som.s alleviate ferroptosis in cardiom.ocytes(Cm.s)induced by cox.ackievirus B3(CVB3).CVB3 was utilized for inducing the Vm. m.use m.del and cellular *** echocardiography,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),and left ventricular fractional shortening(LVFS)were im.lem.nted to assess the cardiac *** CVB3-induced Vm. m.ce,cardiac insufficiency was observed,as well as the altered levels of ferroptosis-related indicators(glutathione) perox.dase 4(GPx.),glutathione(GSH),and m.londialdehyde(m.A).However,ex.som.s derived from.hum.n um.ilical cord m.senchym.l stem.cells(hucm.Cs-ex.)could restore the changes caused by CVB3 ***-7a-5p was enriched in hucm.Cs-ex.,and the inhibitory ffect of hucm.Cs-ex.a-ie-pm.m. on CVB3-induced ferroptosis was higher than that of hucm.Cs-ex.m.ie N(NC:negative control).m.thers against decapentaplegic hom.log 2(Sm.D2)increased in the Vm. group,while the ex.ression of zinc-finger protein 36(ZFP36)***-7a-5p was confirm.d to interact with Sm.D2 m.ssenger RNA(m.NA),and the Sm.D2 protein interacted directly with the ZFP36 *** Sm.D2 and overex.ressing ZFP36 inhibited the ex.ression of ferroptosis-related ***,the levels of GPx.,solute carrier fam.ly 7,m.m.er 11(SLC7A11),and GSH were lower in the Sm.D2 overex.ression plasm.d(oe-Sm.D2)+let-7a-5p m.m.c group than in the oe-NC+let-7a-5p m.m.c group,while those of m.A,reactive ox.gen species(ROS),and Fe^(2+)*** conclusion,these data showed that ferroptosis could be regulated by m.diating Sm.D2 ***-let-7a-5p derived from.hucm.Cs could m.diate Sm.D2 to prom.te the ex.ression of ZFP36,which further inhibited the ferroptosis of Cm.s to alleviate CVB3-induced Vm..

Assessm.nt of sem.-em.irical m.ss transfer correlations for pervaporation treatm.nt of wastewater contam.nated with chlorinated hydrocarbons

Assessm.nt of m.ss transfer characteristics of pervaporation （PV） treatm.nt of wastewater contam.nated with chlorinated hydrocarbons is of great im.ortance for water treatm.nt plant operators conducting initial evaluation, process optim.zation, and process econom.cs. While a m.m.rane plays a central role in pervaporation processes and separation efficiency, the m.ss transfer in the liquid layer nex. to the m.m.rane surface is of equal, if not greater im.ortance. It is one of the few process param.ters that can be adjusted in situ to m.nipulate the outcom. of a pervaporation process. In this study, a bench scale pervaporation ex.erim.nt of rem.ving a com.on chlorinated hydrocarbon from.water was carried out and the results of it were com.ared to the ones based on well-known sem.-em.irical correlations. The m.ss transfer coefficients from.the ex.erim.nts, ranging from.0.8× 10^-5-2.5× 10^-5 m.s under the operating conditions, are higher than those predicted by the correlation. The corresponding separation factors under varying flow velocities are determ.ned to be between 310-950.

Developing stable electrodes for seawater splitting rem.ins a great challenge due to the detachm.nt of catalysts at a large operating current and severe anode corrosion caused by ***,divalent anion intercalation and etching-hydrolysis strategies are deployed to synthesize the ultra-stable anode,dendritic Fe(OH)_(3) grown on Ni(SO_4)_(0.3)(OH)_(1.4)–Ni(OH)_(2).Ex.erim.ntal results reveal that the anode ex.ibits good activity and ex.ellent stability in alkaline sim.lated *** 500 h,the current density operated at 1.72 V rem.ins 99.5%,about 210 m.A cm.(-2).The outstanding stability originates from.the etchinghydrolysis strategy,which strengthens the interaction between the catalyst and the carrier and retards thus the detachm.nt of catalysts at a large current ***,theoretical sim.lations confirm.that the intercalated divalent anions,such as SO_4^(2-) and CO_(3)^(2-),can weaken the adsorption strength of chlorine on the surface of catalysts and hinder the coupling and hybridization between chlorine and nickel,which slows down the anode corrosion and im.roves catalytic ***,the twoelectrode system.shows the rem.rkable 95.1% energy efficiency at 2,000 A m.2and outstanding stability in 6 m.l L^(-1) KOH +seawater at 80 ℃.
