Aim. To evaluate the effect of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and vitam.n C on ventral prostatic antioxidant system.in adult m.le rats. m.thods: A group of 20 adult m.le rats were adm.nistered ip Aroclor 1254 in corn oil at a dose of 2 m.·kg-1·day-1 for 30 days. Ten control rats were adm.nistered only the vehicle. After 30 days the treated rats were divided at random.into 2 sub-groups of 10 anim.ls each. One sub-group received vitam.n C at a dose of 500 m.·kg-1·day-1 for 10 days. The other group was m.intained as Aroclor 1254 control. Twenty-four hours after the last treatm.nt the rats were killed by decapitation. Ventral prostatic hom.genate was prepared and used for the estim.tion of enzym.tic antioxidants, including superoxide dism.tase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), lipid peroxidation (LPO) and prostatic acid phosphatase. The serum.levels of total T3, total T4, TSH, testosterone and estradiol were also assayed. Results: The body weight and ventral prostatic weight were reduced in PCB treated rats. The activities of SOD, CAT, GST and acid phosphatase were decreased while the levels of H2O2 and lipid peroxidation were increased in the ventral prostate of PCB treated rats. Adm.nistration of vitam.n C restored these param.ters. Serum.levels of thyroid horm.nes, estradiol and testosterone were decreased in PCB treated anim.ls. Adm.nistration of vitam.n C restored the thyroid horm.ne levels. Conclusion: PCB induces oxidative stress and decreases the antioxidant enzym.s in the ventral prostate of adult m.le rats; the effects could be reversed by the adm.nistration of vitam.n C.

Bz).The perform.nce of NN based TEC forecast m.dels and International Reference Ionosphere,IRI-2016 global TEC m.del has evaluated during testing period,*** NN based m.del driven by all the inputs,which is a NN unified m.del(NNunq)has shown better accuracy with m.an Absolute Error(m.E)of 3.15 TECU,m.an Square Deviation(m.D)of 16.8 and m.an Absolute Percentage Error(m.PE)of 19.8%and is 1 e25%m.re accurate than the other NN based TEC forecast m.dels(NN1,NN2 and NN3)and IRI-2016 *** m.del has less Root m.an Square Error(Rm.E)value 3.8 TECU and highest goodness-of-fit(R2)with *** experim.ntal results im.ly that NNunq/NN1 m.del forecasts ionospheric TEC accurately across equatorial low-latitude GNSS station and IRI-2016 m.del perform.nce is necessarily im.roved as its forecast accuracy is lim.ted to 69 e70%.

Software technology based on reuse is identified as a process of designing software for the reuse purpose. The software reuse is a process in which the existing software is used to build new software. A m.tric is a quantitative indicator of an attribute of an item.thing. Reusability is the likelihood for a segm.nt of source code that can be used again to add new functionalities with slight or no m.dification. A lot of research has been projected using reusability in reducing code, dom.in, requirem.nts, design etc., but very little work is reported using software reuse in m.dical dom.in. An attem.t is m.de to bridge the gap in this direction, using the concepts of clustering and classifying the data based on the distance m.asures. In this paper cardiologic database is considered for study. The developed m.del will be useful for Doctors or Para-m.dics to find out the patient’s level in the cardiologic disease, deduce the m.dicines required in seconds and propose them.to the patient. In order to m.asure the reusability K-m.ans clustering algorithm.is used.

Arsenic(As)is a known carcinogen and naturally occurring sem.-m.tal in soils and in the Earth's *** of soils and water with As poses a serious threat to m.llions of people worldwide due to its health hazards and toxicological ***,devising novel and efficient m.thods for rem.diation of contam.nated areas has attracted a great deal of interest across the *** this study,we investigated the usefulness of synthetic birnessite,goethite,hexadecylpyridinium.chloride-m.dified m.ntm.rillonite(HDPC-m.,hexadecylpyridinium.brom.de-m.dified zeolite(HDPB-Z),and lanthanum.La)-doped m.gnetic biochar produced from.eucalyptus bark(La-Euchar)as adsorbents at 10%dosage for As stabilization in a soil spiked with 1000 m. kg^(-1)*** effectiveness of the above adsorbents in As im.obilization in soil was assessed using single-step extractions with 2 m.l L^(-1)HNO_(3)and deionized water,the sim.lified bioaccessibility extraction test(SBET)m.thod,and sequential extraction with the m.dified Com.unity Bureau of Reference(BCR)*** of the adsorbents shifted the exchangeable fraction of As to m.re recalcitrant fractions and dram.tically reduced the exchangeable fraction by 6%-99%and the extractable am.unts with HNO_(3),deionized water,and SBET m.thod by 30%-92%,17%-95%,and 12%-90%,respectively,com.ared to the unam.nded *** im.obilizing effects of adsorbents on As decreased in the sequence of birnessite>La-Euchar>goethite>HDPB-Z>*** exhibited great affinity for As and drastically reduced As extractability by m.re than 90%in all single *** results revealed that HDPC-m.HDPB-Z,La-Euchar,birnessite,and goethite are prom.sing im.obilizing agents for in situ stabilization of As in terrestrial environm.nts.

Seven sam.ling sites in each of three biom.s (Western Ghats, foothills of Western Ghats and west coast) of south- western India were investigated to study the distribution, abundance and ecology of pill m.llipedes (Arthrosphaera) and associated fauna in relation to edaphic features. Abundance and biom.ss of Arthrosphaera and other m.llipedes were the highest in Western Ghats, while earthworm. were in foothills. Arthrosphaera m.gna and Arthrosphaera spp. were com.on in Western Ghats and foothills respectively, while no Arthrosphaera were found in the west coast. None of the sam.ling sites consisted of m.re than one species of Arthrosphaera. Biom.ss of Arthrosphaera, other m.llipedes and earthworm. significantly differed in Western Ghats (P = 9.48 × 10-7) and foothills (P = 1.35 × 10-8), as did the biom.ss of species of Arthrosphaera (P = 2.76 × 10-7) between Western Ghats and foothills. Correlation analysis revealed that biom.ss of Arthrosphaera was significantly (P = 0.01, r = 0.45) correlated with soil organic carbon rather than other edaphic fea- tures (pH, phosphate, calcium.and m.gnesium.. Distribution pattern, abundance, biom.ss and ecology of Arthrosphaera of Western Ghats in relation to soil qualities were com.ared with m.llipedes of other regions of the world.

Global Positioning System.GPS)m.asurem.nts of integrated water vapor(IWV)for two years(2014 and 2015)are presented in this *** of IWV during active and break spells of Indian sum.er m.nsoon has been studied for a tropical station Hyderabad(17.4°N,78.46°E).The data is validated with ECm.F Re-Analysis(ERA)91 level *** of IWV with other atm.spheric variables like surface tem.erature,rain,and precipitation efficiency have been established through cross-correlation studies.A positive correlation coefficient is observed between IWV and surface tem.erature over two *** the coefficient becom.s negative when only sum.er m.nsoon m.nths(June,July,August,and Septem.er)are *** during these m.nths cools down the surface and could be the reason for this change in the correlation *** studies between IWV-precipitation,IWVprecipitation efficiency(P.E),and precipitation-P.E show that coefficients are-0.05,-0.10 and 0.983 with 95%confidence level respectively,which proves that the efficacy of rain does not depend only on the level of water vapor.A proper dynam.c m.chanism.is necessary to convert water vapor into the *** diurnal variations of IWV during active and break spells have been *** am.litudes of diurnal oscillation and its harm.nics of individual spell do not show clear trends but the m.an am.litudes of the break spells are approxim.tely double than those of the active *** am.litudes of diurnal,sem.diurnal and ter-diurnal com.onents during break spells are 1.08 kg/m.(2),0.52 kg/m.and 0.34 kg/m.*** corresponding am.litudes during active spells are 0.68 kg/m.(2),0.41 kg/m.and 0.23 kg/m..

High-voltage(>4.0 V)lithium.m.tal battery(LBm.is considered to be one of the m.st prom.sing candidates for next-generation high-energy ***,the com.ercial carbonate electrolyte delivers a poor com.atibility with Li m.tal anode,and its organic dom.nated solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)shows a low interfacial energy and a slow Li^(+)diffusion *** this work,an inorganic LiF-Li_(3)N rich SEI is designed to enable high-voltage LBm.by introducing nano-cubic LiF and LiNO_(3)into1 m.LiPF_(6)ethylene carbonate(EC)/dim.thyl carbonate(Dm.)(v:v=1:1)***,the unique nano-cubic structure of as-synthetized LiF particles achieves its high concentration dissolution in carbonate electrolyte to enhance the interfacial energy of *** addition,tetram.thylene sulfolane(Tm.)is used as a carrier solvent to dissolve LiNO_(3)in the carbonate electrolyte,thereby deriving a Li_(3)N-rich *** a result,the as-designed electrolyte shows a high average Li plating/striping CE of 98.3%after 100 cycles at 0.5 m.A cm.(-2)/0.5 m. h cm.(-2).Furtherm.re,it also enables the ultrathin Li(~50μm.‖LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)m._(0.1)O_(2)(NCm.4.4 m. h cm.(-2))full cell to deliver a high-capacity retention of 80.4%after 100 cycles with an outstanding average CE of 99.7%.Notably,the practical application prospect of the m.dified electrolyte is also estim.ted in LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)m._(0.1)O_(2)‖Li pouch cell with an energy density of 261.2 W h kg^(-1).This work sheds light on the internal m.chanism.of Li^(+)transport within the inorganic dom.nated SEI and provides a sim.le approach to stabilize the high-voltage Lm.s.

It is essential to m.nim.ze soil quality degradation in sloping agricultural fields through stabilization and im.rovem.nt of soil hydraulic properties using sustainable soil *** study aim.d to analyze the im.act of different tillage practices,including conventional tillage(CT),m.nim.m.tillage(m.),and zero tillage(ZT),on soil hydraulic conductivity in a sloping agricultural field under m.izeewheat *** results showed that the highest runoff volum.(257.40 m.),runoff coefficient(42.84%),and soil loss(11.3 t)were observed when the CT treatm.nt was *** contrast,the lowest runoff volum.(67.95 m.),runoff coefficient(11.35%),and soil loss(1.05 t)were observed when the ZT treatm.nt was *** soil organic carbon and aggregate m.an weight diam.ter were found to be significantly greater(with m.an values of 0.79%and 1.19 m.,respectively)with the ZT treatm.nt than with the CT *** the tilled treatm.nts(CT and m.),substantial changes in the saturated soil hydraulic conductivity(ks),near-saturated soil hydraulic conductivity(k),and water-conducting porosity(ε)were observed between two crop *** three soil param.ters were significantly higher in the period after m.ize harvesting than in the wheat growing *** contrast,no significant difference in these soil param.ters was found when the untilled treatm.nt(ZT)was carried *** regard to the slope positions,ks,k,andεshowed different behaviors under different *** toe slope position showed significantly lower ks andεvalues than the sum.it and m.ddle slope *** the evaluated tillage practices,ZT was found to be the m.st prom.sing m.ans to im.rove the soil hydro-physical properties and effectively reduce surface runoff and soil erosion.
