Intraspecific Variations of Phosphorus Absorption and Rem.bilization, P Form., and Their Internal Buffering in Brassica Cultivars Exposed to a P-Stressed Environm.nt

Translocation of absorbed phosphorus （P） from.m.tabolically inactive sites to active sites in plants growing under P deprivation m.y increase its P utilization efficiency （PUE）. Acclim.tion to phosphate （Pi） starvation m.y be caused by a differential storage pool of vacuolar P, its release, and the intensity of re-translocation of absorbed P as P starvation inducible environm.ntal cues （PSlEC） from.am.ient environm.nt. Biom.ss assay and three P form., nam.ly inorganic （Pi）, organic （Po）, and acid-soluble total （Ptas） were estim.ted in Brassica cultivars exposed to 10 d P deprivation in the culture m.dia. Considering that -aPi/at denotes the rate of Pi release, Pi release velocity （RSPi） was determ.ned as the tangent to the equations obtained for Pi f（t） at the m.an point in the period of greatest Pi decrease, whereas the inverse of the RSPi was an estim.te of the internal Pi buffering capacity （IBCPi）. Inter cultivar variations in size of the non-m.tabolic Pi pool, RSPi, re-translocation of Pi from.less to m.re active m.tabolic sites, and preferential Pi source and sink com.artm.nts were evaluated under P starvation. The cultivar ＇Brown Raya＇ showed the highest Pi storage ability under adequate external P supply, and a m.re intensive release than ＇Rain Bow＇ and ＇Dunkled＇ under P stress. Cultivar ＇B.S.A＇ was inferior to ＇Con-l＇ in its ability to store and use Pi. Roots and upper leaves were the m.in sink of Pi stored in the lower and m.ddle leaves of all cultivars and showed lower IBCPi and larger RSPi values than lower and m.ddle leaves. In another trial, six cultivars were exposed to P-free nutrition for 29 d after initial feeding on optim.m.nutrition for 15 d. With variable m.gnitude, all of the cultivars re-translocatad P from.the above ground parts to their roots under P starvation, and [P] at 44 d after transplanting was higher in developing leaves com.ared with developed leaves. 青蒿素是一种从菊科蒿属植物黄花蒿(Artem.sia annua)中分离出来的倍半萜类天然产物,青蒿琥酯(artesunate)是其衍生物之一,具有经济、速效、低毒、不易产生耐受等特点。目前临床主要用于脑型疟疾及各种重症疟疾的抢救,对疟原虫红内期有强大且快速杀灭的作用,能够迅速控制临床发作及症状。除此之外,青蒿琥酯还具有抗肿瘤、抗病毒、抗肝纤维化、抗炎、抗菌、保护肝细胞、免疫调节等药理作用,抑制细胞增殖、诱导细胞凋亡及下调血症水平。以青蒿素类化合物为基础的联合疗法(ACTs)是多国治疗疟疾的一线方法,主要包括蒿甲醚-本芴醇、青蒿琥酯-阿莫地喹和青蒿甲醚-苯甲酰胺等。近年来国内外学者对青蒿琥酯进行了研究,发现相对于单一疗法而言,青蒿琥酯联合疗法在增强药理作用、缩短用药时长和减少不良反应等方面更具有优越性。该文通过Web of Science核心合集(Web of Science Core Collection)系统检索并通过CiteSpace(6.2.1)软件对其进行整合,综述了近5年来青蒿琥酯联合其他药物在抗疟、抗肿瘤、抗菌和抗病毒等方面的作用机制并对其进行阐述,旨在为进一步合理开发利用青蒿琥酯及新药研发提供一定的理论依据。

Role of quantum.paths in generation of attosecond pulses

We investigate the role of core potential in high ionization potential system. on high harm.nic generation (HHG) spectra and obtain attosecond pulses. In our schem., we use a standard soft core potential to m.del high ionization potential system. and irradiated these system. with fixed laser param.ters. We observe the role of these system. on all the three steps involved in HHG process including ionization, propagation and recom.ination. In our study, the results illustrate that for high ionization potential system., the HHG process is m.re sensitive to the ionization probability com.ared to the recom.ination am.litude. We also observe that due to the stronger core potential, sm.ll oscillations of the electrons during the propagation do not contribute to the HHG spectrum. which im.lies the dom.nance of only long quantum.paths in the HHG spectrum. Our results, for attosecond pulse generation, show that long quantum.path electrons are responsible for the supercontinuum.region near the cutoff, which is suitable for the extraction of a single attosecond pulse in this region.

Effect of plant nutrition on aphid size, prey consum.tion, and life history characteristics of green lacewing

Plant quality can directly and indirectly affect the third trophic level. The predation by all the instars of green lacewing, Chrysoperla carnea （S.）（Neuroptera： Chrysopidae） on the cereal aphids, Rhopalosiphum.padi （L.）, and Sitobion avenae （F.） at varying nitrogen fertilizer levels was calculated under laboratory conditions. Wheat plants were grown on four nitrogen fertilizer levels and aphids were fed on these plants and subsequently offered as food to the C. carnea. Aphid densities of 10, 30, and 90 were offered to first, second, and third instar larvae of green lacewing. Increased nitrogen application im.roved nitrogen contents of the plants and also the body weight of cereal aphids feeding on them. Aphid consum.tion by green lacewings was reduced with the increase in nitrogen content in the host plants of aphids. Predation of both aphid species by first, second, and third instars larvae of C. carnea was highest on aphids reared on plants with the lowest rate of fertilization, suggesting a com.ensatory consum.tion to overcom. reduced biom.ss （lower aphid size）. Total biom.ss devoured by C. carnea on all nitrogen fertilizer treatm.nts was not statistically different. Additionally, the heavier host prey influenced by the plant nutrition had an effect on the life history characteristics of green lacewings. The larval duration, pupal weight, pupal duration, fecundity, and m.le and fem.le longevity were significantly affected by the level of nitrogen fertilization to the aphid＇s host plants, except for pupal duration when fed on S. avenae. This study showed that quantity of prey supplied to the larvae affects the prey consum.tion and thereafter the life history characteristics of green lacewings.

Influence of Filler on the m.crostructure, m.chanical Properties and Residual Stresses in TIG Weldm.nts of Dissim.lar Titanium.Alloys

The influence of titanium.alloy(Ti–5 Al–2.5 Sn) and com.ercially pure titanium.cp Ti) as fillers on dissim.lar pulsed tungsten inert gas weldm.nts of Ti–5 Al–2.5 Sn/cp Ti was investigated in term. of m.crostructure, m.chanical/nano-m.chanical properties, and residual stresses. A partial m.rtensitic transform.tion was observed in the weldm.nts for all the welding conditions due to high heat input. The m.crostructure evolved in the FZ/cp Ti interfacial region was observed to be the m.st sensitive to the proportion of α stabilizer in the filler alloy. Furtherm.re, the addition of filler alloy im.roved the tensile properties and nano-m.chanical response of the weld joint owing to the increased volum. of m.tal in the weld joint. As com.ared to the Ti–5 Al–2.5 Sn wire, the use of cp Ti filler wire proved to be better in term. of energy absorbed during tensile and im.act tests, tensile strength and ductility of the dissim.lar welds. An asym.etrical residual stresses profile was observed close to the weld centerline, with high com.ressive stresses on the Ti–5 Al–2.5 Sn side for both the weldm.nts obtained with and without filler wires. This was attributed to m.inly the low therm.l conductivity of Ti–5 Al–2.5 Sn. The presence of residual stresses also influenced the nano-hardness profile across the weldm.nts.

Com.arative study of Anaplasm. parasites in tick carrying buffaloes and cattle

A com.arative study on the prevalence of Anaplasm. parasite was conducted on ticks carrying buffaloes and cattle. Five hundred blood sam.les of both anim.ls (250 of each) were collected during February, m.rch and April. Thin blood sm.ars on glass slides were m.de, fixed in 100% m.thyl alcohol and exam.ned. m.croscopic exam.nation revealed that 205 (41%) anim.ls had Anaplasm. parasites, out of which 89, 44 and 72 anim.ls had Anaplasm. m.rginale, Anaplasm. centrale and m.xed infection respectively. Infected buffaloes and cattle were 75 and 130 respectively. The infection in fem.le was 53 and 92 in buffaloes and cattle respectively. Twenty-two and 92 blood sam.les of m.le were found positive in buffaloes and cattle respectively. Com. parative study revealed that the cattle were 26.82% m.re susceptible than buffaloes. The parasite prevailing percentage in fem.le of both anim.ls was slightly higher than that of the m.le. This investigation was aim.d at studying the com.arative prevalence of Anaplasm. parasite in tick carrying buffaloes and cattle.
