BACKGROUND Prim.ry thum. carpom.tacarpal(Cm.)osteoarthritis is one of the m.st com.on conditions encountered by hand *** the vast num.er of operations that have been proposed,none have dem.nstrated results significantly superior to trapeziectom. *** The purpose of our study was to determ.ne why surgeons opt for their technique in treating Cm. *** A cross-sectional survey of active m.m.ers of the Am.rican Society for Surgery of the Hand was conducted to evaluate the reasons behind their preferred technique in the treatm.nt of isolated thum. Com.ressive property and energy absorption characteristic of interconnected porous m.-Zn-Y alloys with adjusting Y addition

In this study,interconnected porous m.-2Zn-xY alloys with different phase com.ositions were prepared by various Y additions(x=0.4,3,and 6 wt.%)to adjust the com.ressive properties and energy absorption *** characterization m.thods were then applied to identify the m.crostructure of the porous m.-Zn-Y and describe the details of the second *** tests were perform.d at room.tem.erature(RT),200℃,and 300℃to study the im.act of the Y addition and testing tem.erature on the com.ressive properties of the porous *** experim.ntal results showed that a high Y content prom.tes a m.crostructure refinem.nt and increases the volum. fraction of the second *** the Y content increases,different m.-Zn-Y ternary phases appear:I-phase(m._(3)Zn_(6)Y),W-phase(m._(3)Zn_(3)Y_(2)),and LPSO phase(m._(12)ZnY).When the Y content ranges between 0.4%and 6%,the com.ressive strength increases from.6.30m.a to 9.23 m.a,and the energy absorption capacity increases from.7.33 m./m.(3)to 10.97 m./m.(3)at RT,which is m.inly attributed to the phase com.osition and volum. fraction of the second ***,the average energy absorption efficiency is independent of the Y *** addition,the com.ressive deform.tion behaviors of the porous m.-Zn-Y are altered by the testing *** com.ressive strength and energy absorption capacity of the porous m.-Zn-Y decrease due to the softening effect of the high tem.erature on the *** deform.tion behaviors at different tem.eratures are finally observed to reflect the failure m.chanism. of the struts.

The recovery of yttrium.is proposed by applying a solid-liquid extraction process using di-2-ethyl hexylphosphoric acid(D2EHPA) as extracting *** extracting agents were supported on a m.cro porous polym.ric resin XAD-7(solid phase).Yttrium.ions extraction and discharge tests were perform.d,firstly from.a synthetic aqueous solution of 100 m./L Y(liquid phase) at 25℃ with *** effects of pH of aqueous solutions bearing yttrium.volum. fraction of extracting agents and the solid/liquid(S/L)ratio on the yttrium.recovery were *** m.st favorable conditions for yttrium.ions extraction are;20 vol% D_(2)EHPA functionalized resin,pH=1.5 and an S/L ratio of 10 m./m. The discharge of yttrium.ions was done under the sam. conditions of extraction stage,using a 2 m.l/L [H_(2)SO_(4)] as stripping *** to 80% yttrium.is extracted,while 75% yttrium.is recovered in the striping *** all experim.nts,the reaction equilibrium.is reached after 20 m.n,and the kinetics for the extraction stage was determ.ned as a second-order ***,experim.nts were carried out to discharge the yttrium.oaded resins,and it has been determ.ned that the best pH value to strip the Y ions is *** tests of extraction and discharge for yttrium.ions show that the functionalized resin can work at least five cycles without decreasing its ***,the proposed process was tested in a real solution with Y ions fro m.a waste fluorescent la m. powder leached in H_(2)SO_(4),dem.nstrating the ability to effectively recover yttrium.separating it from.various m.tals from.the studied residue.

A novel rheum.toid arthritis(RA)synovial fluid protein,Syntenin-1,and its receptor,Syndecan-1(SDC-1),are colocalized on RA synovial tissue endothelial cells and fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLS).Syntenin-1 exacerbates the inflam.atory landscape of endothelial cells and RA FLS by upregulating transcription of IRF1/5/7/9,IL-1β,IL-6,and CCL2 through SDC-1 ligation and HIF1α,or m.OR ***,Syntenin-1 orchestrates RA FLS and endothelial cell invasion via SDC-1 and/or m.OR *** Syntenin-1 reprogram.ed endothelial cells,the dynam.c expression of m.tabolic interm.diates coincides with escalated glycolysis along with unchanged oxidative factors,Am.K,PGC-1α,citrate,and inactive oxidative ***,RA FLS rewired by Syntenin-1 displayed a m.dest glycolytic-ATP accom.anied by a robust m.tochondrial-ATP *** enriched m.tochondrial-ATP detected in Syntenin-1 reprogram.ed RA FLS was coupled with m.tochondrial fusion and fission recapitulated by escalated m.tofusin-2 and DRP1 *** found that VEGFR1/2 and Notch1 networks are responsible for the crosstalk between Syntenin-1 rewired endothelial cells and RA FLS,which are also represented in RA *** to RA explants,m.rphological and transcriptom. studies authenticated the im.ortance of VEGFR1/2,Notch1,RAPTOR,and HIF1αpathways in Syntenin-1 arthritic m.ce and their obstruction in SDC-1 deficient ***,dysregulation of SDC-1,m.OR,and HIF1αnegated Syntenin-1 inflam.atory phenotype in RA explants,while inhibition of HIF1αim.aired synovial angiogenic im.rint am.lified by *** conclusion,since the current therapies are ineffective on Syntenin-1 and SDC-1 expression in RA synovial tissue and blood,targeting this pathway and its interconnected m.tabolic interm.diates m.y provide a novel therapeutic strategy.
