Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in m. m.ry and high frequency *** the im.rovem.nt of these m.dern devices,the m.gnetic coercivity,perm.ability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the im.ortant *** article focuses on im.roving the m.gnetic coercivity,m.gnetic perm.ability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRd),Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTiR),field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy(FESEm.,energy dispersive X-ray(EdX),vibrating sam.le m.gnetom.ter(VSm.,and an im.edance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,m.gnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRd patterns indicate the form.tion of spinel cubic structure of the sam.les with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the sam.les follow an inverse trend,where the doped sam.les’lattice param.ters are increased with the increm.nt of rare earth Eu *** FTiR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FESEm.im.ges,and it is increased from.121 to 198 *** analysis confirm. that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped sam.les is greater than that of the m.ther alloy(x=0.00).The EdX study shows that there is no im.urity contam.nation in the *** perm.ability and dielectric m.asurem.nts show an im.roved quality factor of the Eu-doped sam.les with low m.gnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and im.edance analysis also show the im.roved *** the observed properties of the sam.les,all the investigated ferrites m.ght be strong candidates for potential applications in m.m.ry devices,m.gnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

Anom.lous ion heat transport is analyzed in the T-10 tokam.k plasm. heated with electron cyclotron resonance heating(ECRH) in second-harm.nic extra-ordinary m.de. Predictive m.deling with em.irical scaling for Ohm.cal heat conductivity shows that in ECRH plasm.s the calculated ion tem.erature could be overestim.ted, so an increase of anom.lous ion heat transport is required. To study this effect two scans are presented: over the EC resonance position and over the ECRH power. The EC resonance position varies from.the high-field side to the low-field side by variation of the toroidal m.gnetic field. The scan over the heating power is presented with on-axis and m.xed ECRH regim.s. discharges with high anom.lous ion heat transport are obtained in all considered regim.s. in these discharges the power balance ion heat conductivity exceeds the neoclassical level by up to 10 tim.s. The high ion heat transport regim.s are distinguished by three param.ters: the ratio Te/Ti, the norm.lized electron density gradient R/■, and the ion–ion collisionality νii~*. The com.ination of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, and R/■=6-10 results in values of norm.lized anom.lous ion heat fluxes up to 10 tim.s higher than in the low transport scenario.

Effect of proton irradiation on the optical properties of therm.l control coating based on polystyrene with silica filler

This paper presents the results of studying the surface properties changes of a ther-m.regulating coating based on polystyrene and silicaﬁller after proton irradiation with an en-ergy of 50 keV at afluence of 3�1015 cm.*** proton irradiation,the values of the contact angle of wetting with water increase by 3.5%and 14.9%for polystyrene and the coating,*** free surface energy(energy of the surface layer)of polystyrene and the coat-ings before and after proton irradiation was calculated using the Owens-Wendt-Rabel-Kaelble *** was a signiﬁcant increase in the polarity of the polystyrene surface(gp increased by a factor of 2.2)after proton *** the coating,an increase in gp by a factor of 3.89 was observed after proton *** changes in the coating were presented by iR Fourier spectroscopy.A slight decrease in the absorption intensity of all characteristic bands com.ared to the unirradiated sam.le was *** was found that the irradiation of the coating with protons led to the form.tion of m.crom.lecules with hydroxyl,carbonyl,and carboxyl bonds,as well as the form.tion of dim.ric and oligom.ric siloxane *** was also found that after irradiation of a pure polystyrene sam.le with protons,the value of the solar absorption as increased by only 4.2%;whereas for the coating with silicaﬁller,the value of as increased by 28.6%.

Analyzing physical activities through wearable devices is a prom.sing research area for im.roving health assessm.nt. This research focuses on the developm.nt of an affordable and real-tim. Hum.n Activity Recognition (HAR) system.designed to operate on low-perform.nce m.crocontrollers. The system.utilizes data from.a bodyworn accelerom.ter to recognize and classify hum.n activities, providing a cost-effective, easy-to-use, and highly accurate solution. A key challenge addressed in this study is the execution of efficient m.tion recognition within a resource-constrained environm.nt. The system.em.loys a Random.Forest (RF) classifier, which outperform. Gradient Boosting decision Trees (GBdT), Support Vectorm.chines (SVm., and K-nearest neighbors (Knn) in term. of accuracy and com.utational efficiency. The proposed featuresAverage absolute deviation (AAd), Standard deviation (STd), interquartile range (iQR), Range, and Root m.an square (Rm.). The research has conducted num.rous experim.nts and com.arisons to establish optim.l param.ters for ensuring system.effectiveness, including setting a sam.ling frequency of 50 Hz and selecting an 8-s window size with a 40% overlap between *** conducted on both theWiSdm.ublic dataset and a self-collected dataset, focusing on five fundam.ntal daily activities: Standing, Sitting, Jogging,Walking, andWalking the stairs. The results dem.nstrated high recognition accuracy, with the system.achieving 96.7% on the WiSdm.dataset and 97.13% on the collected dataset. This research confirm. the feasibility of deployingHAR system. on low-perform.nce m.crocontrollers and highlights the system.s potential applications in patient support, rehabilitation, and elderly care. © 2024 The Authors. Polio eradication surveillance in Sri Lanka,2019-2023

Objective:To evaluate the polio laboratory surveillance carried out from.January,2019 to m.y,2023 by the Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri ***:This retrospective study analyzed all stool sam.les received under the acute flaccid paralysis(AFP)and im.unodeficient vaccine-derived poliovirus(VdPV)surveillance at Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka from.January,2019 to m.y,*** results of the testing m.thodologies were extracted from.the laboratory data system.i.e.,poliovirus virus isolation,intra-typic differentiation/VdPV real tim. reverse transcriptase polym.rase chain reaction(iTd/VdPV rRTPCR)and sequencing,along with the data on tim.ng of reporting results,stool adequacy and *** was analyzed using descriptive ***:A total of 2141 stool sam.les from.1644 cases were received for AFP surveillance from.Sri Lanka(93.61%),m.ldives(1.52%),and im.unodeficient VdPV(4.86%)*** polioviruses(19/1644,1.15%)and non-polio enteroviruses(73/1644,4.44%)were isolated,while Sabin-like 3 virus was detected in m.jority(12/19,63.15%)am.ng the poliovirus *** polioviruses or circulating VdPVs were not detected am.ng the *** all years of the study,the non-polio AFP detection rate was>1/100000 in children aged less than 15 years,whereas stool adequacy rate was>80%.All results were reported within 14 days of receipt,ensuring tim.ly reporting as per global ***:The Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka plays a vital role in m.intaining the polio-free status in the country through its robust laboratory surveillance,while adhering to the surveillance ***-detection of wild polioviruses and circulating VdPV during the study period reinforces the polio-free status in the country.

in this study,a calcium.phosphate coating was form.d on a m.-m.-Ce alloy by the plasm. electrolytic oxidation(PEO).The antibiotic vancom.cin,widely used in the treatm.nt of infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus(***),was im.regnated into the *** with vancom.cin showed high bactericidal activity against *** m.chanical and electrochem.cal properties of the form.d coatings were studied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on m.ture m.le rats were *** to SEm.EdS,XRd and XPS data,coatings had a developed m.rphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and with vancom.cin did not reveal any differences,confirm.ng the high roughness of the *** electrochem.cal tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by m.re than two tim.s after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the im.lantation of sam.les with calcium.phosphate PEO coating and vancom.cin,no signs of inflam.ation were observed,while an inflam.atory reaction developed in the area of im.lantation of bare alloy,followed by *** release tests from.the coatings show a sharp decrease in the concentration of the released antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experim.nt,no significant deviations in the condition and behavior of the anim.ls were observed;clinical tests did not reveal a system.c toxic reaction.

BACKGROUnd Wom.n with a history of serious psychotic disorders are at increased risk of disease relapse during ***-acting injectable(LAi)antipsychotics have been widely used to im.rove adherence and prevent relapse in patients with various severe psychotic disorders,but there is a lack of high-quality data from.previous research on the safety of LAi antipsychotics during *** To sum.arize relevant data on m.ternal,pregnancy,neonatal,and developm.ntal outcom.s from.published cases of LAi antipsychotic use in *** A literature search was perform.d through novem.er 11,2023,using three online databases:Pubm.d/m.dLinE,Scopus,and Web of *** reports or case series that reported inform.tion about the outcom.s of pregnancy in wom.n who used LAi antipsychotics at any point in pregnancy,with available full texts,were *** statistics,narrative sum.ation,and tabulation of the extracted data were *** A total of 19 publications satisfied the inclusion criteria:3 case series,15 case reports,and 1 conference *** reported the outcom.s of LAi antipsychotic use in 74 wom.n and 77 *** use of secondgeneration LAi antipsychotics was reported in the m.jority(n=47;61.0%)of ***-generation LAi antipsychotics were adm.nistered during 30 pregnancies(39.0%).m.st of the wom.n(approxim.tely 64%)had either satisfactory control of sym.tom. or no inform.tion about relapse,while approxim.tely 12%of them.had developed gestational diabetes m.llitus.A m.nority of cases reported adverse outcom.s such as stillbirth,spontaneous abortion,preterm.birth,low birth weight,congenital anom.lies,and neurological m.nifestations in ***,there were no reports of negative long-term.developm.ntal *** Currently available data seem.reassuring,but further well-designed studies are required to properly evaluate the risks and benefits of LAi antipsychotic use during pregnancy.

Greatly enhanced corrosion/wear resistances of epoxy coating for m. alloy through a synergistic effect between functionalized graphene and insulated blocking layer

The poor corrosion and wear resistances of m. alloys seriously lim.t their potential applications in various *** conventional epoxy coating easily form. m.ny intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy com.osite coating on m. alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assem.ly *** outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can be hom.geneously dispersed within the epoxy m.trix to fill the intrinsic defects and im.rove the barrier *** Ce film.connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG com.osite coating is 2131 tim.s lower than that of bare m. alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The im.roved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive m.dium.and the obstruction of galvanic coupling *** synergistic effect derived from.the FG sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the im.rovem.nt of m.lti-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the developm.nt of novel com.osite protection coatings of m. alloys.

Single atom.Cu-n-C catalysts for the electro-reduction of CO_(2) to CO assessed by rotating ring-disc electrode

The electrochem.cal CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR) to controllable chem.cals is considered as a prom.sing pathway to store interm.ttent renewable energy. Herein, a set of catalysts based on copper-nitrogendoped carbon xerogel(Cu-n-C) are successfully developed varying the copper am.unt and the nature of the copper precursor, for the efficient CO_(2)RR. The electrocatalytic perform.nce of Cu-n-C m.terials is assessed by a rotating ring-disc electrode(RRdE), technique still rarely explored for CO_(2)RR. For com.arison, products are also characterized by online gas chrom.tography in a H-cell. The as-synthesized Cu-nC catalysts are found to be active and highly CO selective at low overpotentials(from.-0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 m.KHCO_(3), while H_(2) from.the com.etitive water reduction appears at larger overpotentials(-0.9 V vs. RHE). The optim.m.copper acetate-derived catalyst containing Cu-n_(4) m.ieties exhibits a CO_(2)-to-CO turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. RHE with a H_(2)/CO ratio of 1.8. These results dem.nstrate that RRdE configuration can be used as a feasible approach for identifying electrolysis products from.CO_(2)RR.
