Digestive hem.rrhage by.rupture of esophageal Varices is com.on and has a pejorative prognosis in our context. Purpose: The m.in purpose of this work was to study.the digestive bleeding by.esophageal varices and prognosis value of blood transfusion in the Hospital of Gabriel Touré. m.thodology. It was a prospective study.that took place in the service of Hepato-gastroenterology.of Gabriel Touré Hospital from.June 2016 to m.y.2017 and from.Novem.er 2017 to August 2018. Results: At the end of the study. 77 patients m.t the inclusion criteria out of 1396 patients hospitalized during the sam. period. Varices bleeding represented a prevalence of 5.5% am.ng hospitalized patients during the sam. period. The average age of our patients was 46.58 ± 15.09 y.ars. The m.le sex was m.re reported in our study.with a prevalence of 67.5%. At adm.ssion, 63.2% had clinical anem.a, 58.4% low arterial pressure and 50.6% hem.globin rate less than 7 g/dL. Blood transfusion was indicated in 47 patients (61%). The m.rtality.rate was 23.4% and was com.arable in both groups (p = 0.0990). Early.rebleeding was significantly.observed in the case of transfusion (p = 0.0452). Hepatic encephalopathy.was the leading cause of death of our patients with 72.2%. Conclusion: Digestive bleeding by.esophageal varices is a worsen com.lication in cirrhosis in hospital setting. Transfusion has not significantly.im.roved the prognosis of our patients.

Upon infecting a host cell,the reticulate body.RB)form.of the Chlam.dia bacteria sim.ly.proliferates by.binary.fission for an extended *** data show only.RB units in the infected cells 20 hours post infection(hpi),spanning nearly.half way.through the developm.nt *** data collected every.4 hpi,conversion to the elem.ntary.body.EB)form.begins abruptly.at a rapid rate som.tim. around 24 *** m.deling proliferation and conversion as sim.le birth and death processes,it has been shown that the optim.l strategy.for m.xim.zing the total(m.an)EB population at host cell ly.is tim. is a bang-bang control qualitatively.replicating the observed conversion ***,the sim.le birth and death m.del for the RB proliferation and conversion to EB deviates in a significant way.from.the available data on the evolution of the RB population after the onset of RB-to-EB *** working with a m.re refined m.del that takes into account a sm.ll size threshold eligibility.requirem.nt for conversion noted in the available data,we succeed in rem.ving the deficiency.of the previous m.dels on the evolution of the RB population without affecting the optim.l bang-bang conversion strategy.

In this study.a num.rical m.thod based on the Pell-Lucas poly.om.als(PLPs)is developed to solve the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidem.c m.del with a treatm.nt *** HIV/AIDS m.them.tical m.del with a treatm.nt com.artm.nt is divided into five classes,nam.ly.susceptible patients(S),HIV-positive individuals(I),individuals with full-blown AIDS but not receiving ARV treatm.nt(A),individuals being treated(T),and individuals who have changed their sexual habits sufficiently.R).According to the m.thod,by.utilizing the PLPs and the collocation points,we convert the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidem.c m.del with a treatm.nt com.artm.nt into a nonlinear sy.tem.of the algebraic ***,the error analy.is is presented for the Pell-Lucas approxim.tion *** aim.of this study.is to observe the behavior of five populations after 200 day. when drug treatm.nt is applied to HIV-infectious and full-blown AIDS *** dem.nstrate the usefulness of this m.thod,the applications are m.de on the num.rical exam.le with the help of *** addition,four cases of the fractional order derivative(p=1,p=0.95,p=0.9,p=0.85)are exam.ned in the range[0,200].Owing to applications,we figured out that the outcom.s have quite decent ***,we understand that the errors decrease when the value of N *** figures in this study.are created in *** outcom.s indicate that the presented m.thod is reasonably.sufficient and correct.

LiBH_(4) containing 18.5 wt.%H_(2) is an attractive high-capacity.hy.rogen storage m.terial,however,it suffers from.high operation tem.erature and poor ***,a novel and low-cost bifunctional additive,waxberry.like Fe_(3)O_(4) secondary.nanospheres assem.led from.ultrafine prim.ry.Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,is sy.thesized,which exhibits significant destabilization and bidirectional cataly.ation towards(de)hy.rogenation of LiBH_(4).With an optim.zed addition of 30 wt.% waxberry.like Fe_(3)O_(4),the sy.tem.initiated dehy.rogenation below 100℃ and released a total of 8.1 wt.%H_(2) to 400℃.After 10 cy.les,a capacity.retention of 70% was achieved,greatly.superior to previously.reported oxides-m.dified *** destabilizing and cataly.ing m.chanism. of waxberry.like Fe_(3)O_(4) on LiBH_(4) were sy.tem.tically.analy.ed by.phase and m.crostructural evolutions during dehy.rogenation and hy.rogenation cy.ling as well as density.functional theory.DFT)*** present work provides new insights in developing advanced nano-additives with unique structural and m.ltifunctional designs towards LiBH4 hy.rogen storage.

Plastic pollution, both prim.ry.and secondary. is an environm.ntal challenge, prom.ting regulatory.actions at global and regional levels. With increasing research about the im.acts of m.cro- and nanoplastics on ecosy.tem. and hum.n health, governm.nts worldwide have undertaken efforts to address this issue. The global com.unity.has advanced regulatory.efforts that have led to the im.lem.ntation of national laws or regulations in num.rous countries. These m.asures ban or restrict the use of prim.ry.and secondary.m.croplastics and nanoplastics. An overview of global and European regulatory.fram.works is presented to provide context for the United States (US). In the endeavor to docum.nt plastics regulation developm.nt in the US, a description of regulatory.agencies and their roles in advancing policy.and rules as well as future direction and areas for im.rovem.nt in regulating plastics are introduced. A discussion of what em.rging regulations m.an to utilities and industries is also provided along with a com.arison of regulatory.fram.works.

In this article dedicated to the m.deling of vertical m.ss transfers between the biofilm.and the bulk flow, we have, in the first instance, presented the m.thodology.used, followed by.the presentation of various results obtained through analy.es conducted on velocity.fields, different fluxes, and overall transfer coefficients. Due to num.rical constraints (resolution of relevant spatial scales), we have restricted the analy.is to low Schm.dt num.ers (Sc=0.1, Sc=1, and Sc=10) and a single roughness Rey.olds num.er (Re*=150). The analy.is of instantaneous concentration fields from.various sim.lations revealed logarithm.c concentration profiles above the canopy. In this zone, the concentration is relatively.hom.geneous for longer tim.s. The analy.is of results also showed that the contribution of m.lecular diffusion to the total flux depends on the Schm.dt num.er. This contribution is negligible for Schm.dt num.ers Sc≥0.1, but nearly.balances the turbulent flux for Sc=0.1. In the canopy. the local Sherwood num.er, given by.the ratio of the total flux (within or above the canopy. to the m.lecular diffusion flux at the wall, also depends on the Schm.dt num.er and varies significantly.between the canopy.and the region above. The exchange velocity. a purely.hy.rody.am.c param.ter, is independent of the Schm.dt num.er and is on the order of 10% of in the present case. This study.also reveals that nutrient absorption by.organism. near the wall depends on the Schm.dt num.er. Such absorption is facilitated by.lower Schm.dt num.ers.

The single-phase high-entropy.alloy.film.is difficult to m.et severe friction conditions due to its low hardness and high friction ***-com.osite structure film.is com.osed of at least two separated phases,showing the properties of strength and toughness integration and excellent wear *** design of nanocom.osite structures can effectively.im.rove the m.chanical properties and tribological properties of high-entropy.alloy.*** this study.the(CuNiTiNbCr)C_(x) nanocom.osite high-entropy.film.(HEFs)integrated with high hardness,high toughness,and self-lubrication were sy.thesized by.the double-target co-sputtering *** effect of carbon content on m.crostructure,m.chanical properties,and tribological properties of(CuNiTiNbCr)C_(x) film. was *** the increase of carbon content in the HEFs,the carbon atom. preferentially.react with Ti,Nb,and Cr to form.a(TiNbCr)C ceram.c-reinforced phase,and then the excess carbon atom. precipitate in the form.of am.rphous carbon(a-C)lubricating phase in the *** structure of the HEFs changes from.an am.rphous structure to a nanocom.osite structure of am.rphous(am.rphous CuNiTiNbCr phase+a-C phase)/nanocry.talline(TiN-bCr)C *** the carbon content is about 21.2 at.%,the carbide phase in the film.reaches saturation and the hardness and m.dulus of the film. are highest,which are 18 GPa and 228 GPa,*** HEFs with a carbon content of 44.0 at.%show the best toughness and tribological properties with a friction coefficient of 0.16 and a wear rate of 2.4×10^(-6) m.^(3)/(N m.,which is m.inly.attributed to the excellent resistance to fatigue crack growth and the interfacial lubricating lay.r form.d in the friction *** nanocom.osite(CuNiTiNbCr)C_(x) HEFs show very.prom.sing application prospect in the field of friction protection.
