Today’s econom.c grow.h is not prom.sing w.thout air transport, up-to-date airports infrastructure, efficient and safe airline services and international air transport netw.rks. According to w. [1], 40% of the w.rld-w.de tourists travel by air transport. The m.in aim.of this study is to analyze the literatures of air transport and econom.c grow.h study. A system.tic literature review.(SLR) m.thod w.s used in order to exam.ne related articles from.ABDC list journals w.ich are ranked on A*, A or B, published in period 1992-2018. This study gives a sum.ary of the trends and research them.s w.ich have been identified. Key scholars, as w.ll as their approaches and locations and citations are also m.pped. The findings of this study show.that there is a grow.ng interest in researching and publishing on Air transportation and econom.c grow.h. This study fills a deficiency in specialized literature concerning air transportation in developing countries and provides a foundation for future research in the field of air transportation.

Carbon Sequestration in Tropical Forest Stands: Its Control by Plant, Soil and Clim.tic Factors

This study investigated the relationships am.ngst floristic, soil and clim.tic param.ters and their control on carbon sequestration (CS) in tw. selected forest stands of Sri Lanka. Representative sam.ling sites w.re selected from.the dry zone (Sigiriya forest sanctuary) and the w.t zone (Udaw.ttakele forest reserve) of Sri Lanka. Litter and soil sam.les w.re collected from.each sam.ling site random.y in m.nthly intervals to cover an annual cycle. Plant biom.ss carbon stocks w.re calculated using standard biom.ss equations. Soil carbon stocks w.re determ.ned by chem.cal oxidation and loss on ignition (LOI) m.thods. Principle Factor Analysis and m.ltiple regression w.re used to quantify the relationships am.ng the plants, soil and clim.tic variables. Plant biom.ss carbon stocks of the forests w.re governed by labile and stable C fractions, soil m.isture, and plant diversity. The soil fulvic fraction acts as a focal point of interacting the variables such as soil N, free litter fraction (FLF) and hum.c fraction. During dry period in the dry zone forest, CS w.s governed by m.xim.m.relative hum.dity through an atm.sphere-floor litter-soil continuum. Air tem.erature and FLF play a vital role in determ.ning soil N. In addition, m.cIntosh distance (U) diversity index show.d a significant positive relationship w.th soil N. The dry zone forests are seen to be m.re clim.tic sensitive and vulnerable than the w.t zone forests in Sri Lanka due to influence of m.re clim.tic param.ters that govern the soil organic carbon fractions.
