m.ny experim.ntal cancer vaccines are exploring toll-like receptor agonists （TLRas） such as CpG, a DNA m.tif that agonizes toll-like receptor 9 （TLR9）, to trigger im.une responses that are potent and m.lecularly-specific. The ability to tune the im.une response is especially im.ortant in the im.unosuppressive m.croenvironm.nts of tum.rs. Because TLR9 is located intracellularly, CpG m.st be internalized by im.une cells for functionality. Polyplexes can be self- assem.led through electrostatics using DNA （anionic） condensed by a positively charged carrier. These structures im.rove cell delivery and have been widely explored for gene therapy. in contrast, here we use cationic poly （^-am.no esters）（PBAEs） to assem.le polyplexes from.CpG as an adjuvant to target and im.rove im.une stim.lation in cells and m.use m.dels. Polyplexes were form.d over a range of PBAE：CpG ratios, resulting in a library of com.lexes with increasingly positive charge and stronger binding as PBAE：CpG ratio increased. Although higher PBAE：CpG ratios exhibited im.roved CpG uptake, lower ratios of PBAE：CpG--which condensed CpG m.re weakly, activated DCs and tum.rspecific T cells m.re effectively. in a m.use m.lanom. m.del, polyplexes with lower binding affinities im.roved survival m.re effectively com.ared with higher binding affinities. These data dem.nstrate that altering the polyplex interaction strength im.acts accessibility of CpG to TLRs in im.une cells. Thus, physiochem.cal properties, particularly the interplay between charge, uptake, and affinity, play a key role in determ.ning the nature and efficacy of the im.une response generated. This insight identifies new design considerations that m.st be balanced for engineering effective im.unotherapies and vaccines.

in this paper,we report on the crystal structure and m.gnetic properties of the nano structured Baordered phases of rare-earth m.nganites obtained from.the optim.lly doped solid solutions Ln0.70Ba0.30m.O3(Ln=Pr,Nd).The m.terials were studied by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron m.croscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy and SQUiD-m.gnetom.try *** is found that states with different degrees of cation ordering in the A-sublattice of the ABO3 perovskite can be obtained by em.loying special conditions of chem.cal *** particular,reduction of the parent com.ounds results in the form.tion of a nanocom.osite containing ferrim.gnetic anion-deficient ordered phase *** of the com.osite does not change an average size of the nanocrystallites,but drastically alters their phase com.osition to stabilize ferrom.gnetic stoichiom.tric ordered phase LnBam.2O6 and ferrom.gnetic superstoichiom.tric disordered phase Ln0.90Ba0.10m.O3+δ.it is shown that the m.gnetic properties of the m.terials are determ.ned by the joint action of chem.cal(cation ordering)and external(surface tension)pressures.

if K is a field with involution and E an arbitrary graph, the involution from.K naturally induces an involution of the Leavitt path algebra LK（E）. We show that the involution on LK（E） is proper if the involution on K is positive-definite, even in the case when the graph E is not necessarily finite or row-finite. it has been shown that the Leavitt path algebra LK（E） is regular if and only if E is acyclic. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for LK（E） to be ＊-regular （i.e., regular with proper involution）. This characterization of ＊-regularity of a Leavitt path algebra is given in term. of an algebraic property of K, not just a graph-theoretic property of E. This differs from.the known characterizations of various other algebraic properties of a Leavitt path algebra in term. of graph- theoretic properties of E alone. As a corollary, we show that Handelm.n＇s conjecture （stating that every ,-regular ring is unit-regular） holds for Leavitt path algebras. m.reover, its generalized version for rings with local units also continues to hold for Leavitt path algebras over arbitrary graphs.

m.lecular m.tors are nature＇s nano-devices and the essential agents of m.vem.nt that are an integral part of m.ny living organism.. The supram.lecular m.tor, called Nuclear Pore Com.lex （NPC）, controls the transport of all cellular m.terial be- tween the cytoplasm.and the nucleus that occurs naturally in biological cells of m.ny organism.. in order to understand the design characteristics of the NPC, we developed a m.crodevice for drug/fluidic transport m.m.cking the coarse-grained repre- sentation of the NPC geom.try through com.utational fluid dynam.c analysis and optim.zation. Specifically, the role of the central plug in active fluidic/particle transport and passive transport （without central plug） was investigated. Results of flow rate, pressure and velocity profiles obtained from.the m.dels indicate that the central plug plays a m.jor role in transport through this biom.lecular m.chine. The results ofthis investigation show that fluidic transport and flow passages are im.ortant factors in designing NPC based nano- and m.cro-devices for drug delivery.

investigation over the recirculation influence on the com.ustion of m.cro organic dust particles

This paper investigates the role of recircnlation and non-unity Lewis num.er on the com.ustion of organic dust particles. Since recirculation effect is m.re noticeable in m.cro-com.ustors, it is necessary to propose a m.deling approach of this phenom.non to better sim.late the perform.nce of m.cro-com.ustors. in this research, in order to m.del the com.ustion of organic dust particles, it is assum.d that the dust particles va- porize first to yield a known chem.cal structure which is oxidized in the gas phase, and the chem.cal structure of this gaseous fuel is assum.d m.thane. To study the flam. structure and solve the governing equations, it is considered that the flam. structure consists of three zones titled the preheat-vaporization zone, the narrow reaction zone and finally the post flam. zone. The recirculation phenom.non is evaluated by entering the exhausted heat from.the post flam. zone into the preheat zone. The solution is based on the follow- ing approach. First, the governing equations in each zone are nondim.nsionalized. Then the needed boundary and m.tching conditions are applied in each zone. After that, these equations and the required boundary and m.tching conditions are sim.ltaneously solved with the analytical m.del. Consequently, the rem.rkable effects of recirculation and non- unity Lewis num.er on the com.ustion characteristics of the organic dust particles such as burning velocity and tem.erature profiles for different particle radii are obtained. The results show reasonable agreem.nt with published experim.ntal data.

Lead powder obtained by potentiostatic electrodeposition from.alkaline electrolyte, based on hydroxide ions, was investigated. The shape of lead crystals strongly depends on overpotentials of electrodeposition. The regular crystals are form.d in the ohm.c control. The shape of dendrites form.d in the control of diffusion has a function of overpotentials of the electrodeposition. increasing overpotential leads to branching of dendrites from.prim.ry type to those with developed tertiary branches. Form.tion of the very branchy dendrites of the strong （111） preferred orientation is explained on the basis of the affiliation of this electrolyte to the group of the com.lex Pb electrolytes.

Structural and m.lecular features of intestinal strictures in rats with Crohn's-like disease

Aim. To develop a new rat m.del we wanted to gain a better understanding of stricture form.tion in Crohn’s disease (CD).m.THODS: Chronic colitis was induced locally by the adm.nistration of 2,4,6-trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS). The relapsing inflam.ation characteristic to CD was m.m.cked by repeated TNBS treatm.nts. Anim.ls were random.y divided into control, once, twice and three tim.s TNBS-treated groups. Control anim.ls received an enem. of saline. Tissue sam.les were taken from.the strictured colonic segm.nts and also adjacent proxim.lly and distally to its 60, 90 or 120 d after the last TNBS or saline adm.nistrations. The frequency and m.croscopic extent of the strictures were m.asured on digital photographs. The structural features of strictured gut wall were studied by light- and electron m.croscopy. inflam.ation related alterations in TGF-beta 2 and 3, m.trix m.talloproteinases 9 (m.P9) and Tim.1 m.NA and protein expression were determ.ned by quantitative real-tim. PCR and western blot analysis. The quantitative distribution of caspase 9 was determ.ned by post-em.edding ***: intestinal strictures first appeared 60 d after TNBS treatm.nts and the frequency of them.increased up to day 120. From.day 90 an intact lam.na epithelialis, reversible thickening of lam.na m.scularis m.cosae and irreversible thickening of the m.scularis externa were dem.nstrated in the strictured colonic segm.nts. Nevertheless the m.rphological signs of apoptosis were frequently seen and excess extracellular m.trix deposition was recorded between sm.oth m.scle cells (Sm.s). Enhanced caspase 9 expression on day 90 in the Sm.s and on day 120 also in m.enteric neurons indicated the induction of apoptosis. The m.NA expression profile of TGF-betas after repeated TNBS doses was characteristic to CD, TGF-beta 2, but not TGF-beta 3 was up-regulated. Overexpression of m.P9 and down-regulation of Tim.1 were dem.nstrated. The progressive increase in the am.unt
