Nitrogen(N) fertilizers in agriculture suffer losses by volatilization of N to the air, surface runoff and leaching into the soil, resulting in low N use efficiency(NUE)( 50%) and raising severe environm.ntal pollutions. Controlledrelease nitrogen fertilizers(CRNFs) can control the release of N nutrients to NUE in crop production. Different m.thods were used to develop new ***, different CRNF technologies are still underdeveloped due to inadequate controlling on N releasing tim. and/or unsustainable diffusion. The study on the influences of CRNF processing param.ters on m.crobial conditions are lacking when the CRNFs com.osed of various bio-ingredients such as biochar, com.osts, and biowaste. The com.lexity of processing m.thods, m.terial biodegradability, and other physical properties m.ke current CRNFs of questionable value in agricultural production. This research aim. to develop a novel biochar-com.ost-based controlled-release urea fertilizer(BCRUF) to preserve m.crobial properties carried by the com.ost. The BCRUF was synthesized by pelletizing the 50:50(dry, wt/wt) m.xture of biochar and com.ost. BCRUF was loaded with urea and then spray-coated with polylactic acid(PLA). The releasing tim. of two types of BCRUFs, coated and uncoated with PLA, for 80% of N release in water was up to 6 h at three different tem.eratures(4, 23, and 40 °C), com.ared to conventional urea fertilizer and com.ercial environm.ntally sm.rt N(ESN) fertilizer. The releasing tim. of coated BCRUF for 80% N release in soil was up to 192 h(8 days). Fourier-transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) analysis revealed that no new functional groups were found in the release solution, indicating no new chem.cal hazards generated. The differential scanning calorim.try(DSC)tests also verified that its therm.l stability could be up to 160 °C. The num.rical m.thod of lines(m.Ls)in coordination with the classical fourth-order Runge Kutta(RK(4,4))m.thod is used to solve shallow water equations(SWEs)for foreseeing water levels owing to the nonlinear interaction of tide and surge accom.anying with a storm.along the coast of *** SWEs are developed by extending the body forces with tide generating forces(TGFs).Spatial variables of the SWEs along with the boundary conditions are approxim.ted by m.ans of finite difference technique on an Arakawa C-grid to attain a system.of ordinary differential equations(ODEs)of initial valued in tim.,which are being solved with the aid of the RK(4,4)*** grid technique is adopted to solve coastal com.lexities closely with least com.utational cost.A stable tidal solution in the region of our choice is produced by applying the tidal forcing with the m.jor tidal constituent m.(lunar sem.-diurnal)along the southern open-sea boundary of the outer *** experim.ntations are carried out to sim.late water levels generated by the cyclonic storm.AILA along the coast of *** m.del sim.lated results are found to be in a reasonable agreem.nt with the lim.ted available reported data and observations.

Cloud point(CP) determ.nations of 4-(1,1,3,3-tetram.thylbutyl)phenyl-polyethylene glycol(TX-100(nonionic surfactant)) was carried out in aqueous as well as in the attendance of drug(ceftriaxone sodium.trihydrate(CFT))/(CFT + different inorganic salts) and discussed thoroughly. Nonionic surfactants are em.loyed extensively in different form.lations. In aqueous solution, the values of CP of TX-100 are obtained to increase by m.ans of enhancing of their concentration in the solution. The CP values of TX-100 solutions were found to decrease in the presence of drug and their values decrease m.re with rising concentrations of the drug. The values of CP of CFT and TX-100 m.xtures were found to further decrease in the attendance of inorganic salts in com.arison to their absence. The effect of different sodium.salts in decreasing CP values of TX-100 was achieved in the following order: NaCO_3 > Na_2SO_4 > Na Cl. However, in the case of potassium.and am.onium.salts, the decreasing order obtained is K_2SO_4 > KCO_3 > KCl and(NH4)2 SO_4 > Na_2CO_3 > NH_4Cl respectively. Various therm.dynam.c param.ters for exam.le standard free energy(ΔG_c~Θ), standard enthalpy(ΔH_c~Θ) as well as standard entropy(Δ Sc?)changes of phase separation were also evaluated and discussed in detail on the basis of their behavior.

The aggregation behavior of the m.xture of cetyltrim.thylam.onium.chloride(CTAC), a cationic surfactant, and m.xifloxacin hydrochloride(m.H), a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic drug, has been studied using the conductivity technique in aqueous and alcoholic(EtOH, 1-PrOH, and 2-BuOH)m.dia. The study was perform.d at several tem.eratures between 298.15 and 323.15 K at 5 K *** assem.ly has been characterized by evaluating the m.cellar param.ters, such as the critical m.celle concentration(Cm.) and the counter ion binding(β), of the CTAC + m.H m.xture. The values of the Cm. for the assem.ly of the CTAC + m.H m.xture were reliant on the com.osition of alcohols in the m.xed solvents and the tem.erature. The Cm. values of the CTAC + m.H m.xture increased with increasing tem.erature;that is, assem.ly was delayed by increased tem.erature. The m.cellization of the CTAC + m.H m.xed system.was delayed in alcoholic m.dia. The observed-ΔG0m.alues for the association of the CTAC + m.H m.xed system.dem.nstrated a spontaneous aggregation process under all study *** on the-ΔH^(0)_(m. and +ΔS^(0)_(m. values, the association of the CTAC + m.H m.xture is exotherm.c and the interaction forces acting between the CTAC and m.H species are hydrophobic, ion–dipole, and electrostatic interactions. The transfer properties and enthalpy–entropy com.ensation were also assessed and described com.rehensively.

The autom.biles, aircraft, and lightweight industries continuously dem.nd thin near-net-shape preform. just out-of-m.chine as close to the final shape. This study addresses the possibilities of 3D thin shell textile preform.as the solution of lightweight reinforcem.nt in various applications. Investigation into the developm.nt of 3D thin shells has led to different m.nufacturing processes. However, 3D thin shell preform. are m.stly m.de by weaving and knitting, but nonwoven, winding, and/or layup techniques have been reported for over a decade. Owing to the com.lex thin shell m.nufacturing processes, they are not sim.lar to the conventional m.thods. The different 3D thin shell preform. can extend the opportunities for new applications in various technical fields. This study presents existing research gaps and a few potential issues to be solved regarding 3D thin shell preform. in the near future.

Carotid endarterectom. is a well-established treatm.nt for preventing stroke in selected patients. Although there is debate over whether patch angioplasty or prim.ry closure should be used to reconstruct the bifurcation after carotid endarterectom., there is growing evidence in the literature in favor of patch angioplasty. When com.ared to prim.ry closure, patch angioplasty during conventional carotid endarterectom. is suggested to lower the incidence of restenosis and recurrent ipsilateral stroke. Various m.terials have been used as a patch in this procedure, including the saphenous vein, synthetic patches, or less frequently, an internal jugular vein patch where extensive narrowing of the internal carotid artery is evident. In our case, we used an internal jugular vein graft after inadvertent severing the internal carotid artery (ICA) during carotid endarterectom. after the failure of reconstruction with a saphenous vein patch. We also encountered im.ediate postoperative reactionary hem.rrhage following anesthetic reversal, necessitating an urgent re-exploration. The purpose of this case report is neither an attem.t to suggest all patients need angioplasty nor to state that an internal jugular vein patch or graft is superior to synthetic m.terial or saphenous veins;rather, it is an attem.t to em.hasize a potentially effective rescue way to reconstruct inadvertent extensive vascular injury during carotid endarterectom..

采用一种负水头供水控水系统,通过调节供水负压值来控制不同的土壤含水率,研究3种供水负压(3、6、9kPa)下,保水剂对玉米生理、生长性状以及节水效果的影响。结果表明:在供水负压为3kPa时,保水剂使玉米株高降低了7.4%,叶面积降低了14.9%,地上部干物质量降低了12.4%,地下部干物质量降低了7.3%,水分利用效率降低了12.6%。在供水负压为6kPa和9kPa时,保水剂使玉米株高分别增加了10.0%、37.9%,叶面积分别增加了14.2%、90.8%,地上部干物质量分别显著增加40.4%、104.6%,地下部干物质量分别增加了35.3%、83.8%,水分利用效率分别显著提高了26.9%、65.7%。同时,与无保水剂的相比,玉米叶片水势分别增加7.1%、19.2%,叶片相对含水率、净光合速率、胞间CO2浓度、蒸腾速率也较高。表明在水分受限制条件下,保水剂能够改善植株的生理生长特性,提高水分利用效率。

The changing landscape of m.ngroves in Bangladesh com.ared to four other countries in tropical regions

Loss of m.ngroves and consequent habitat fragm.ntation is a m.jor concern throughout the world’s tropical countries. Conversion of m.ngrove habitat due to aquaculture, agriculture, urbanization and industrialization, ecotourism. overlapping bureaucracy and conflicting policies is occurring at a striking rate. This paper reviews the trends of m.ngrove area changes in Bangladesh and com.ares them.with four other countries in tropical regions that have significant m.ngrove areas. The rate of m.ngrove loss from.the 1980 to 2005 was calculated using the com.ound interest rate form.la for its explicit biological im.lication. In Bangladesh, the area of m.ngroves was found to have increased due to its higher accretion rate. In India the rate of m.ngrove loss had fallen. The rate of m.ngrove loss in m.laysia in the 1990s （-0.008 ha＆#183;a-1） was higher than the 1980s （-0.004 ha＆#183;a-1）. In Indonesia, the rate decreased, from.the 1980s （-0.018 ha＆#183;a-1） to the 1990s （-0.010 ha＆#183;a-1）. Finally in m.anm.r the rate of m.ngrove loss gradually accelerated. Aquaculture was found to be the com.on cause of m.ngrove conversion in the regions. Loss of m.ngroves is now a prom.nent global issue, associated with the loss of biodiversity, deterioration of habitat integrity, clim.tic changes, the am.unt of carbon sequestration, and resulting sea-level rise. Therefore, a system.tic evaluation of these environm.ntal im.acts is prerequisite to realize sustainable m.ngrove m.nagem.nt.
