Pt nanoparticles(PtNPs)as active species have always been considered as one of the best sem.conductor m.terials for photocatalytic hydrogen *** this study,a Schottky heterojunction has been successfully constructed by evenly loading ultrafine PtNPs onto a triazine-based covalent organic fram.works(COFs).This strategy m.intained the high activity of these ultra-small PtNPs while m.xim.zing the utilization of the Pt active *** fabricated PtNPs@covalent triazine-based fram.work-1(CTF-1)com.osite accom.lished a significantly high rate of hydrogen evolution(20.0 m.ol·g^(−1)·h^(−1),apparent quantum.efficiency(AQE)=7.6%,atλ=450 nm.with 0.40 wt.%Pt loading,giving rise to a 44-fold-increase in the efficiency of the photocatalytic hydrogen production com.ared to the pristine *** calculations revealed that the strong electron transfer(Q(Pt)=−0.726 qe,in the analysis of Bader charge,Q(Pt)is the charge quantity transferred from.Pt cluster to CTF-1,and qe is the unit of charge transfer quantity)between PtNPs and CTF-1 triggers a strong interaction,which m.kes PtNPs being firm.y attached to the structure of CTF-1,thereby enabling high stability and excellent hydrogen production ***,the hydrogen binding free energy(ΔGH*)of PtNPs@CTF-1 is m.ch lower than that of the unm.dified CTF-1,leading to a m.ch lower interm.diate state and hence a significant im.rovem.nt in photocatalytic *** overall findings of this work provide a new platform.to incorporate m.tallic NPs into COFs for the design and fabrication of highly efficient photocatalysts.

Intrinsic Spin Angular m.m.ntum.of Electron Relation to the Discrete Indivisible Quantum.of Tim. Kshana or m.m.nt

The frequency of any periodic event can be defined in term. of units of Tim.. Planck constructed a unit of tim. called the Plank tim. from.other physical constants. Vyasa defined a natural unit of tim., kshana, or m.m.nt based on the m.tion of a fundam.ntal particle. It is the tim. taken by an elem.ntary particle, to change its direction from.east to north. According to Vyasa, kshana is discrete, exceedingly small, indivisible, and is a constant tim. quantum. When the intrinsic spin angular m.m.ntum.of an electron was related to the angular m.m.ntum.of a sim.le thin circular plate, spherical shell, and solid sphere m.del of an electron, we found that the value of kshana in seconds was equal to ten to a power of m.nus twenty-one second. The disc m.del for the spinning electron provides an accurate value of the num.er of kshanas per second as determ.ned previously and com.ared with other spinning m.dels of electrons. These results indicate that the disk-like m.del of spinning electrons is the correct m.del for electrons. Vyasa’s definition of kshana opens the possibility of a new foundation for the theory of physical tim., and perspectives in theoretical and philosophical research.

How neonatal diet affects the long-term.developm.nt of rum.nation behavior, rum.n ferm.ntation and feed digestion in dairy calves fed a high m.lk level?

This study was to investigate growth perform.nce, rum.nation developm.nt, rum.n ferm.ntation and feed digestion in young calves provided high volum.s(about 20% of calf birth weight) of m.lk with or without forage inclusion and how these param.ters correlate with each other. Im.ediately after birth,160 newborn Holstein female calves(41.6 ± 4.2 kg of initial BW) were random.y divided into 2 treatm.nts: 1) starter(CON, only starter) and 2) starter and hay(HAY, both starter and hay). The calves were fed their respective experim.ntal diets from.d 4 to 84, after which they were all introduced to sim.lar diets until the end of the experim.nt on d 196. Treatm.nt had no effect on growth and structural m.asurem.nts throughout the experim.ntal period. However, treatm.nt had an effect on the other param.ters, m.inly during the post-weaning period. Forage supplem.ntation tended to reduce starter dry m.tter intake(P = 0.05), while increasing the forage intake(P m.ared to CON calves. The HAY calves had a higher rum.nation tim.(P m.nal pH(P m.ared to the CON calves. Spearm.n correlation analysis showed that rum.nation tim. was positively related to the rum.nal p H at d 84(P = 0.01) and 196(P = 0.02). The HAY calves had sim.lar apparent total-tract digestibility of dry m.tter(Dm., NDF and ether extract(EE), but lower digestibility of organic m.tter(Om. P = 0.03), crude protein(CP, P m.ared to those of the CON calves at week 12. Furtherm.re, there were no positive relationships between rum.nation tim. and nutrient digestibility or between rum.nation tim. per kilogram.Dm.and nutrient digestibility. The current study was perform.d to evaluate the liver function status as well as m.lecular characterization of the recovered worm. in rats experim.ntally infected with F. hepatica. Sixteen male Wister rats aged 30 days were random.y allocated into two groups (n = 8). The first group was infected orally with 15 viable encysted m.tacercaria of F. hepatica per animal. The other group was kept non-infected (control group). At zero tim. (before infection), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th weeks post-infection (WPI), blood and serum.sam.les were collected via puncture of retro-orbital plexus of veins from.each rat. Serum.enzym. level (AST and ALT) and total protein were m.asured, and the serum.protein profile was carried out using agarose gel electrophoresis. During the period of the experim.nt, serum.ALT and AST activities and serum.total globulins significantly increased while serum.total proteins and album.n m.rkedly decreased in the infected group. On the 14th WPI, the data of the electropherogram.showed that globulin fractions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were significantly increased while α2-globulin was m.rkedly decreased in the infected group. The m.lecular analysis confirm.d the am.lification of the ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of F. hepatica recovered from.the infected liver of rats with am.licon sizes of 630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of the am.lified ITS gene resulted in the determ.nation of 3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of the ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under the accession num.ers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, fasciolosis in the rat m.del is suitable for routine experim.ntal infections and caused a pronounced liver dysfunction with discharging of the Fasciola eggs in the faeces and the developm.nt of adult stages in the bile ducts. A direct solver with O（N） com.lexity for integral equations on one-dim.nsional dom.ins

An algorithm.for the direct inversion of the linear system. arising from.NystrSm.discretization of integral equations on one-dim.nsional dom.ins is described. The m.thod typically has O（N） com.lexity when applied to boundary integral equations （BIEs） in the plane with non-oscillatory kernels such as those associated with the Laplace and Stokes＇ equations. The scaling coefficient suppressed by the ＂big-O＂ notation depends logarithraically on the requested accuracy. The m.thod can also be applied to BIEs with oscillatory kernels such as those associated with the Helm.oltz and tim.-harm.nic m.xwell equations; it is efficient at long and interm.diate wave-lengths, but will eventually becom. prohibitively slow as the wave-length decreases. To achieve linear com.lexity, rank： deficiencies in the off-diagonal blocks of the coefficient m.trix are exploited. The technique is conceptually related to the H- and H2-m.trix arithm.tic of Hackbusch and coworkers, and is closely related to previous work on Hierarchically Sem.-Separable m.trices.

Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Renalof® versus Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy (ESWL) for the Treatm.nt of Kidney Stones ≤ 1 cm.in Nicaragua

Objectives: To assess the efficiency in term. of cost-effectiveness (CE) of oral Renalof® treatm.nt versus extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL) in the treatm.nt of kidney stones ≤ 1 cm.in Nicaragua. m.thods: A cost-effectiveness econom.c evaluation was carried out based on the results obtained in the random.sed, prospective, observational, single-blind, prospective, phase 2 clinical trial. Cost-effectiveness and the increm.ntal cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) were calculated. Econom.c data were obtained from.the Econom.cs Departm.nt of Clínica Senior in m.nagua, Nicaragua. The m.netary cost was expressed in US dollars (USD). Results: Treatm.nt with Renalof® yielded a CE of $1,323.08/% rem.ssion, while ESWL was $9,498.54/% rem.ssion. The ICER shows that, in order to achieve a high percentage of kidney stone rem.ssion with ESWL, an extra $4,734.70 per patient m.st be invested. Conclusions: The use of Renalof® is shown to be a m.re cost-effective option than ESWL. It is recom.ended for the treatm.nt of kidney stones ≤ 1 cm.in size.

Predicting the Stitch Density of Finished Fabrics Using Weft Blended Grey Knit Fabrics

Stitch density is one of the critical quality param.ters of knit fabrics. This param.ter is closely related to other physical quality param.ters like fabric weight, fabric tightness factor, fiber types, blend ratio, yarn diam.ter and linear density, and fabric structure. Selecting stitch density (wales per inch, course per inch) is essential to getting the appropriate fabric weight and desired quality. Usually, no rules or assum.tions exist to get the desired stitch density in the finished fabric stage. Fifteen types of blended knit fabrics were prepared to conduct the study. The varying percentages of cotton, polyester, and elastane are incorporated in the blends. Regression analysis and regression ANOVA tests were done to predict the stitch density of finished fabrics. A suitable regression equation is established to get the desired results. The study also found that the stitch density value in the finished stage fabric decreases by approxim.tely 15% com.ared to the stitch density in the grey fabric stage. This study will help the fabric m.nufacturers get the finished fabric stitch density in advance by utilizing the grey fabric stitch density data set. The author expects this research to benefit the knitting and dyeing industry, new researchers, and advanced researchers.

Hybrid IPOm. A Novel Technique for the m.nagem.nt of Incisional Hernia

Background and Aim. The incidence of incisional hernias has been reported to be around 15%. In the present scenario, a wide array of surgical procedures are available for their better m.nagem.nt. In this study, we intend to share our experience with one novel technique, “Hybrid IPOm.(Intraperitoneal onlay m.shplasty)” as a m.nagem.nt option for a selected cohort of patients. m.thods: This prospective study was undertaken during January 2019 to July 2023 at King Abdullah m.dical city, m.kkah. A total of 51 cases were selected for Hybrid IPOm.repair as per inclusion criteria;m.dium.sized (4 - 10 cm. hernia defects;uncom.licated hernias;age m.re than 18 years. The follow-up period of the patients varied from.6 m.nths to 4 years. The operation com.enced with open hernia dissection, m.sh deploym.nt into abdom.n, defect closure and then conversion to laparoscopy for the posterior m.sh placem.nt. Results: A total of 51 cases were repaired successfully with this technique. 48 out of 51 cases were incisional hernias secondary to som. prim.ry procedure done either for hernias itself or som. other intra-abdom.nal pathology. The three cases were prim.ry hernias falling in m.dium.to large category with unaesthetic overlying skin. The age range was 19 to 72 years. The m.an (range) operative tim. was 135 (90 - 240) m.n, and the average blood loss was 70 m.. The m.an (range) hospital stay was 3 (2 - 11) days. All patients returned to routine work within 2 - 3 weeks of surgery. The m.dian follow-up was 15 (6 - 48) m.nths. Of the 51 cases, 3 patients developed serom. (m.naged conservatively), 1 patient developed a large hem.tom. (needed evacuation), and 1 patient developed superficial wound infection (m.naged with antibiotics). Two patients had recurrences;one patient had previously failed m.ltiple repairs, and the other developed a postoperative hem.tom.. None of our patients had an iatrogenic bowel injury. Conclusion: Hybrid IPOm.technique is a safe, feasible and easily reproducibl
