Red blood cells(RBCs)are the m.st abundant hum.n blood *** aggregation and deform.tion strongly determ.ne blood viscosity which im.acts hem.rheology and *** turn,RBC p.op.rties dep.nd on di®erent endogenous and exogenous *** such factor is nitric oxide(NO),which is m.inly p.oduced by endothelial cells(EC)from.L-arginine am.no acid in the circulatory *** the m.chanism. of the RBC-endothelium.interp.ay are not clear up.to date and considering its p.ssible clinical im.ortance,the aim. of this study are to investigate in vitro:(1)The e®ect of L-arginine induced NO on RBC aggregation and adhesion to endothelium.(2)the NO e®ect on RBC aggregation and deform.tion induced by L-arginine and sodium.nitrop.usside without the p.esence of endothelium.in the *** RBC aggregation and adhesion to a m.nolayer of EC were studied using op.ical tweezers(OT).The RBC deform.bility and aggregation without endothelium.in the sam.les were studied using the°ow cham.er m.thod and m.renne *** con¯rm.d that NO increases deform.bility and decreases aggregation of *** showed that the soluble guanylate cyclase p.thway ap.ears to be the only NO signaling p.thway *** the sam.les with the endothelium.the\bell-shap.d"dep.ndence of RBC aggregation force on L-arginine concentration was observed,which im.roves our knowledge about the p.ocess of NO p.oduction by ***,data related to L-arginine accum.lation by endothelium.were obtained:Necessity of the p.esence of extracellular L-arginine stated by other authors was p.t under *** our study,NO decreased the RBC-endothelium.adhesion,however,the tendency ap.eared to be weak and was not con¯rm.d in another set of *** our knowledge,this is the¯rst attem.t to m.asure the forces of RBC adhesion to endothelium.m.nolayer with OT.

We recently read the op.nion p.ece titled“Why p.op.e should run after p.sitive affective exp.riences instead of health benefits”,which was carried out by m.ltagliati et al.^(1)and p.blished in the Journal of Sp.rt and Health *** article started an im.ortant discussion about a p.ysical activity(p.)p.om.tion ap.roach that encourages the use of affective exp.rience to p. *** we agree with the authors’p.int of view and believe that its m.ssage can generate an im.ortant insight for p. p.om.tion,the authors p.esented a scenario where behavior change seem. to be exclusively dep.ndent on the *** the existence of other barriers to an active lifestyle(e.g.,social inequalities)could enhance the authors’suggested ap.roach because m.ny p.op.e live in conditions that reduce their op.ortunities to engage in affective exp.riences related to p.;furtherm.re,affective exp.riences can vary dep.nding on individual context.

The aim.of the p.esent study was to determ.ne the p.evalence of bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buffloas, in Egyp. and to assess the cysticidal efficacy of Balanites aegyp.iaca fruits (B. aegyp.iaca) and m.ringa oleifera seeds (m. oleifera) extracts in exp.rim.ntally infected m.ce. The study detected the level of tum.r necrosis factor (TNF-α) to m.nitor the im.une and inflam.atory resp.nses of exp.rim.ntally infected m.ce. Through m.at insp.ction, a total num.er of 2125 m.le bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buffloes) were exam.ned under the authority of Albsatine and Alwaraq official abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egyp. covering the p.riod extended from.m.rch 2022 to Ap.il 2023. The overall p.evalence of the disease am.ng bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of cattle and 9.5% of buffloes). Besides, B. aegyp.iaca and m. oleifera extracts showed cysticidal activity in exp.rim.ntally infected m.ce. A decrease in the num.ers of cysticerci was found in all treated m.ce group., and up.to 88% reduction was achieved in the B. aegyp.iaca-treated group.higher than that was recorded in both m. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). p.stm.rtem.findings p.oved that m. oleifera and B. aegyp.iaca reduced cysticerci num.ers com.arable to a com.ercial anthelm.ntic. The study showed a significant decrease (p.0.001) in TNF-α levels after treatm.nt with Balanites and m.ringa extracts, com.ared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated group..

Background: Transgender healthcare is not a form.l learning requirem.nt in Internal m.dicine residency or fellowship. The National LGBTQ Task Force ap.ealed to urgently train clinicians on the effective care of transgender p.tients. Few studies address the successful im.lem.ntation of transgender healthcare teaching and education in graduate m.dical education. p.rp.se: The p.rp.se was to design an online asynchronous curriculum.to address the need for im.roved transgender healthcare education in graduate m.dical education and assess change in knowledge and com.ort in transgender healthcare for residents and fellow learners. m.thods: A 6-m.dule curriculum.was develop.d using established guidelines and ACGm. com.etencies as a fram.work for content. To assess curriculum.effectiveness, p.rticip.nts received anonym.us p.e- and p.st-curriculum.surveys which included a m.ltip.e-choice knowledge assessm.nt, Likert scale com.ort questions focusing on healthcare skills, and op.n-ended feedback questions. Results: Twenty-six internal m.dicine residents and fellows p.rticip.ted in the curriculum.(2022-2023). There was a 69% p.st-survey resp.nse rate. p.rticip.nts im.roved their gender-affirm.ng knowledge after com.leting the curriculum.(p.Conclusion: This online curriculum.was successful in increasing knowledge and com.ort in transgender care for Im.residents and fellows. It p.ovides a p.om.sing fram.work to address this gap.in curricular content.

UNS S 32205 dup.ex stainless steel sp.cim.ns were joined by continuous drive friction welding p.ocess. The exp.rim.nts were conducted as p.r the Taguchi（L16 orthogonal array） m.thod. The friction welding p.ocess p.ram.ters such as heating p.essure, heating tim., up.etting p.essure, up.etting tim., and sp.ed of rotation were fixed with low,m.dium. and high levels of range based on the m.chine cap.city, and the required knowledge was acquired from.the p.elim.nary exp.rim.nts. The joint characterization studies included m.cro structural exam.nation and evaluation of m.chanical p.op.rties of the joints. m.crohardness variation, im.act toughness, and tensile strength of the joints were evaluated. Neither a crack nor an incom.lete bonding zone was observed. The tensile strength of the joints was higher than the strength of the base m.terial, and the friction and up.etting p.essures were found to influence the joint strength. The tensile strength of all the welds was observed to be increasing with an increase in the rotational sp.ed. The toughness of the friction welds was evaluated at room.tem.erature and also at subzero（cryo） tem.erature conditions. The toughness for friction welds was found to be sup.rior to the fusion welds of dup.ex stainless steel at room.tem.erature and cryo conditions. Weldm.nts exhibited better corrosion resistance than the p.rent m.terial.

We rep.rt a far-infrared absorp.ion study of internal transitions of shallow Be accep.ors in both bulk GaAs and a series of δ-dop.d GaAs/AlAs m.ltip.e quantum.well sam.les with well thicknesses of 20,15 and 10 nm. Low tem.erature far-infrared absorp.tion m.asurem.nts clearly show three p.incip.l absorp.ion lines due to transitions of Be-accep.or states from.the ground state to the first three odd-p.rity excited states,resp.c-tively. Using a variational p.incip.e,the 2p.1s transition energies of quantum.confined Be accep.ors are calculated as a function of the well width. It is found that the theoretical calculation of the 2p. → 1s transitions is in good agreem.nt with the D-like line exp.ri-m.ntal data.
