The p.esent study is a system.tic effort to investigate the structure-sensitive m.gnetic p.ram.ters of Ce^(3+) substituted Ba-Sr hexaferrite nanocrystals chem.cally form.lated as Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Ce_(x)Fe_(12-x)O_(19) where x=0.0-0.2 with Δx=*** hexaferrite p.wders were p.ep.red using the sol-gel self-ignition route and structurally characterized by m.ans of p.wder X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform.infrared *** creation of the m.typ. hexaferrite p.ase within the synthesized sam.les was revealed from.the Rietveld refinem.nt of the X-ray *** occurrence of a secondary p.ase of CeO_(2) was revealed within the hexaferrites for the substitution,x> *** refined X-ray diffraction data were utilized to com.ute the lattice p.ram.ters,X-ray density,and lattice p.ram.ter *** crystal structure p.otted from.the refined XRD data reveals the occup.ncy of the ions at different lattice *** Xp. data of the hexaferrite were analyzed to confirm.the oxidation states of the constituent *** nanocrystalline nature of the hexaferrites was revealed from.the crystallite sizes calculated using Scherer's *** analysis of FTIR sp.ctra confirm. that only a fraction of Ce^(3+)accom.odated in the lattice and the rem.ining Ce content reside in the form.of the CeO_(2) *** m.rp.ology of the hexaferrites was analyzed from.the FESEm.p.ofiles of the ferrite *** m.gnetic behavior study was p.rform.d by analyzing the Curie tem.erature,hysteresis loop.,and hyp.rfine interactions by m.ans of suscep.ibility,V.S.m.and m.ssbauer sp.ctroscop.,*** hexaferrites with increasing coercivity,decreasing saturation m.gnetization,and decreasing Curie tem.erature are rep.rted in the *** substituted Ce^(3+)ions inhibit the grain growth and create lattice im.erfections giving rise to hexaferrites with tuned m.gnetic p.ram.ters suitable for different ap.lications.

m.-Y-Zn-Al alloys p.ocessed by rap.dly solidified ribbon consolidation(RSRC)technique exhibit an excep.ional m.chanical p.rform.nce indicating p.om.sing ap.lication *** m.terial has a bim.dal m.crostructure consisting of fine recrystallized and coarse non-recrystallized grains with solute-rich stacking faults form.ng cluster arranged layers(CALs)and nanop.ates(CANap.),or com.lete long p.riod stacking ordered(Lp.O)*** order to reveal the deform.tion m.chanism.,in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction line p.ofile analysis was em.loyed for a detailed study of the dislocation arrangem.nt created during tension in m.-0.9%Zn-2.05%Y-0.15%Al(at%)*** uncovering the effect of the initial m.crostructure on the m.chanical p.rform.nce,additional sam.les were obtained by annealing of the as-consolidated sp.cim.n at 300 and 400℃ for 2 *** heat treatm.nt at 300℃ had no significant effect on the initial m.crostructure,its evolution during tension and,thus,the overall deform.tion behavior under tensile *** the other hand,annealing at 400℃ resulted in a significant increase of the recrystallized grains fraction and a decrease of the dislocation density,leading to only m.nor degradation of the m.chanical *** m.xim.m.dislocation density at the failure of the sam.les corresp.nding to the p.astic strain of 10-25% was estim.ted to be about 16-20×10^(14)m.(-2).The diffraction p.ofile analysis indicated that m.st dislocations form.d during tension were of non-basal and p.ram.dal typ.s,what was also in agreem.nt with the Schm.d factor values revealed indep.ndently from.orientation *** was also shown that the dislocation-induced Taylor hardening was m.ch lower below the p.astic strain of 3% than above this value,which was exp.ained by a m.del of the interaction between p.ism.tic dislocations and CANap./Lp.O p.ates.

We have recently p.op.sed a new technique of p.asm. tailoring by laser-driven hydrodynam.c shockwaves generated on both sides of a gas jet[m.rquès et al.,*** 28,023103(2021)].In a continuation of this num.rical work,we study exp.rim.ntally the influence of the tailoring on p.oton acceleration driven by a high-intensity p.cosecond laser in three cases:without tailoring,by tailoring only the entrance side of the p.cosecond laser,and by tailoring both sides of the gas *** tailoring,the acceleration is transverse to the laser axis,with a low-energy exp.nential sp.ctrum.p.oduced by Coulom. *** the front side of the gas jet is tailored,a forward acceleration ap.ears,which is significantly enhanced when both the front and back sides of the p.asm. are *** forward acceleration p.oduces higher-energy p.otons,with a p.aked sp.ctrum.and is in good agreem.nt with the m.chanism.of collisionless shock acceleration(CSA).The sp.tiotem.oral evolution of the p.asm. p.ofile is characterized by op.ical shadowgrap.y of a p.obe *** refraction and absorp.ion of this beam.are sim.lated by p.st-p.ocessing 3D hydrodynam.c sim.lations of the p.asm. *** with the exp.rim.ntal results allows estim.tion of the thickness and near-critical density of the p.asm. slab p.oduced by tailoring both sides of the gas *** p.ram.ters are in good agreem.nt with those required for CSA.

Background The im.act of changing land-use p.tterns and associated anthrop.genic threats on scale-dep.ndent habitat use of sem.-aquatic m.stelids in scent-m.rking and social behaviour can p.ovide im.ortant insights into the habitat ecology of sm.oth-coated otters(Lutrogale p.rsp.cillata).m.thods We sam.led 180 stream.segm.nts(100–400 m. as sp.tial rep.icates of 60 1-km. sites to record indirect evidence(i.e. sp.aints and m.ss latrine sites) and group.sizes of sm.oth-coated otters along the Tungabhadra Otter Conservation Reserve(TOCR) during the dry season. To quantify habitat, we recorded stream.characteristics, rip.rian vegetation, and anthrop.genic disturbances at the local scale, and hydro-environm.ntal characteristics and land uses at the landscap. scale. Using m.rkovian-chain detection and occup.ncy m.dels, we assessed the m.lti-scale habitat use of otters in their selection of suitable areas for scent-m.rking based on rep.ated p.esence-absence data on sp.aint/latrine locations along the TOCR. We further used linear regression techniques to exp.ore relationship. between the num.er of individuals in sm.oth-coated otter group.and hydro-environm.ntal characteristics, sp.aint/latrine encounter rate, anthrop.genic p.essure, land cover, top.grap.y, and *** At the local scale, the p.obability of sp.aint dep.sition and group.size decreased with anthrop.genic disturbance while the p.obability of sp.aint detections decreased with grass cover.
