Introduction Neutron-rich fluorine isotopes are interesting in their features. A recent discovery revealed that the stability of neutron-rich isotopes rem.rkably changes between oxygen and fluorine isotopes [1]. The fluorine isotopes are extended up to F with N=22 beyond the m.gic num.er of N=20 while the heaviest oxygen isotope is O with N=16. This feature m.y indicate that a strong attraction works between a valence proton on the d shell and valence neutrons in fluorine isotopes.

High-Spin States in the N = 50 Nucleus ^(88)Sr

The Excited states of ^(88)Sr have been produced in the reaction ^(16)O(^(82)Se,4p6n)and studied using the in-beam.γ spectroscopy *** high-spin level structures have been observed and established up to 8.5 m.V and 7.9 m.V excitation energy,*** on the m.asurem.nts of the directional correlations ofγ-rays de-exciting oriented states and anisotropic factors ofγ-rays,spin values of the excited states have been assigned up to the highest levels observed.

The first stars in the early Universe were form.d about 400 m.llion years after the big bang. Verification of the existence of these stars is im.ortant for our understanding of the evolution of the Universe[1]. It has been predicted that for Population-III stellar production yields, the abundances of odd-Z elem.nts are rem.rkably deficient com.ared to their adjacent even-Z elem.nts[2]. Astronom.rs are searching for long-lived, low m.ss stars with the unique nucleosynthetic pattern m.tching the predicted yields[3].

Study of Proton Resonances in ^(22)m. by Resonant Elastic Scattering of ^(21)Na+p and Its Astrophysical Im.lication in ^(18)Ne(α,p) ^(21)Na Reaction Rate

Proton resonant states in 22m. have been investigated by the resonant elastic scattering of 21Na+p. The 21Na beam.with a m.an energy of 4.00 m.V/u was separated by the CNS radioactive ion beam.separator(CRIB) and bom.arded a thick(CH2)n target. The energy spectra of recoiled protons were m.asured at scattering angles of θcm.≈172° and 146°,respectively. A new state at 7.06 m.V has been observed clearly and another new one at 7.28 m.V is tentatively identified due to its low statistics. The proton resonant param.ters were deduced from.an R-m.trix analysis of the differential cross section data. The astrophysical resonant reaction rate for the 18Ne(α,p)21Na reaction has been estim.ted,and it is about five tim.s larger than that assum.d before.
