Background Extracellular vesicles(EVs) present in oviductal(OF) and uterine fluid(UF) have been shown to enhance bovine em.ryo quality during in vitro culture by reducing lipid contents and m.dulating lipid m.tabolism.related genes(lm.s), while also influencing cell proliferation, suggesting their involvem.nt on the regulation of different biological pathways. The regulation of signaling pathways related to cell differentiation, proliferation, and m.tabo-lism.is crucial for early em.ryo developm.nt and can determ.ne the success or failure of the pregnancy. Bioactive m.lecules within EVs in m.ternal reproductive fluids, such as m.cro RNAs(m.RNAs), m.y contribute to this regulatory process as they m.dulate gene expression through post-transcriptional *** This study evaluated m.RNA cargo in OF-EVs from.the early luteal phase and UF-EVs from.the m.d-luteal phase, coinciding with em.ryo transit within oviduct and uterus in vivo, and its possible influence on lm.s and sign-aling pathways crucial for early em.ryo developm.nt. A total of 333 m.RNAs were detected, with 11 exclusive to OF, 59 to UF, and 263 were com.on between both groups. From.the 20 differentially expressed m.RNAs, 19 up-regulated in UF-EVs(bta-m.R-134, bta-m.R-151-3p, bta-m.R-155, bta-m.R-188, bta-m.R-181b, bta-m.R-181d, bta-m.R-224, bta-m.R-23b-3p, bta-m.R-24-3p, bta-m.R-27a-3p, bta-m.R-29a, bta-m.R-324, bta-m.R-326, bta-m.R-345-3p, bta-m.R-410, bta-m.R-652, bta-m.R-677, bta-m.R-873 and bta-m.R-708) and one(bta-m.R-148b) in OF-EVs. These m.RNAs were predicted to m.dulate several pathways such as Wnt, Hippo, m.PK, and lipid m.tabolism.and degradation. Polarized electron beam.production via laser wakefield acceleration in pre-polarized plasm. is investigated by particlein-cell sim.lations. The evolution of the electron beam.polarization is studied based on the Thom.s±Bargm.nn±m.chel±Telegdi equation for the transverse and longitudinal self-injection, and the depolarization process is found to be influenced by the injection schem.s. In the case of transverse self-injection, as found typically in the bubble regim., the spin precession of the accelerated electrons is m.inly influenced by the wakefield. However, in the case of longitudinal injection in the quasi-1D regim. (for exam.le, F. Y. li et al., Phys. Rev. lett. 110, 135002 (2013)), the direction of electron spin oscillates in the laser field. Since the electrons m.ve around the laser axis, the net influence of the laser field is nearly zero and the contribution of the wakefield can be ignored. Finally, an ultra-short electron beam.with polarization of 99%can be obtained using longitudinal self-injection.

Swarm.ng behaviors play an em.nent role in both biological and engineering research, and show great potential applications in m.ny em.rging fields. Traditional swarm.ng m.dels still lack integrity, uniform.ty, and stability in swarm.form.ng processes,resulting in fragm.ntation and void phenom.na. Inspired by the shepherding behaviors observed in nature, we propose an integrated negotiation-control schem. for distributed swarm.control of m.ssive robots. The core idea of this schem. is that the robots at the boundary of the group herd the internal robots to form.an equilibrium.swarm. For this purpose, we introduce a concept of virtual group center towards which boundary robots herd internal robots. Then, a distributed negotiation m.chanism.is designed to allow each robot to negotiate the virtual group center only through local interactions with its neighbors. After that, we propose a shepherding-inspired swarm.control law to drive a group of robots to form.an integrated, uniform. and stable configuration from.any initial states. Both num.rical and flight sim.lations are presented to verify the effectiveness of our proposed swarm.control schem..

Patients and physicians understand the im.ortance of self-care following spinal cord injury (SCI), yet m.ny individuals with SCI do not adhere to recom.ended self-care activities despite logistical supports. Neurobehavioral determ.nants of SCI self-care behavior, such as im.ulsivity, are not widely studied, yet understanding them.could inform.efforts to im.rove SCI self-care. We explored associations between im.ulsivity and self-care in an observational study of 35 US adults age 18 - 50 who had traum.tic SCI with paraplegia at least six m.nths before assessm.nt. The prim.ry outcom. m.asure was self-reported self-care. In lASSO regression m.dels that included all neurobehavioral m.asures and dem.graphics as predictors of self-care, dispositional m.asures of greater im.ulsivity (negative urgency, lack of prem.ditation, lack of perseverance), and reduced m.ndfulness were associated with reduced self-care. Outcom. (m.gnitude) sensitivity, a latent decision-m.king param.ter derived from.com.utationally m.deling successive choices in a gam.ling task, was also associated with self-care behavior. These results are prelim.nary;m.re research is needed to dem.nstrate the utility of these findings in clinical settings. Inform.tion about associations between im.ulsivity and poor self-care in people with SCI could guide the developm.nt of interventions to im.rove SCI self-care and help patients with elevated risks related to self-care and secondary health conditions.

We have recently proposed a new technique of plasm. tailoring by laser-driven hydrodynam.c shockwaves generated on both sides of a gas jet[m.rquès et al.,*** 28,023103(2021)].In a continuation of this num.rical work,we study experim.ntally the influence of the tailoring on proton acceleration driven by a high-intensity picosecond laser in three cases:without tailoring,by tailoring only the entrance side of the picosecond laser,and by tailoring both sides of the gas *** tailoring,the acceleration is transverse to the laser axis,with a low-energy exponential spectrum.produced by Coulom. *** the front side of the gas jet is tailored,a forward acceleration appears,which is significantly enhanced when both the front and back sides of the plasm. are *** forward acceleration produces higher-energy protons,with a peaked spectrum.and is in good agreem.nt with the m.chanism.of collisionless shock acceleration(CSA).The spatiotem.oral evolution of the plasm. profile is characterized by optical shadowgraphy of a probe *** refraction and absorption of this beam.are sim.lated by post-processing 3D hydrodynam.c sim.lations of the plasm. *** with the experim.ntal results allows estim.tion of the thickness and near-critical density of the plasm. slab produced by tailoring both sides of the gas *** param.ters are in good agreem.nt with those required for CSA.

In this study,a calcium.phosphate coating was form.d on a m.-m.-Ce alloy by the plasm. electrolytic oxidation(PEO).The antibiotic vancom.cin,widely used in the treatm.nt of infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus(***),was im.regnated into the *** with vancom.cin showed high bactericidal activity against *** m.chanical and electrochem.cal properties of the form.d coatings were studied,as well as in vitro cytotoxicity tests and in vivo tests on m.ture m.le rats were *** to SEm.EDS,XRD and XPS data,coatings had a developed m.rphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and with vancom.cin did not reveal any differences,confirm.ng the high roughness of the *** electrochem.cal tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by m.re than two tim.s after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in vivo study,after 28 days of the im.lantation of sam.les with calcium.phosphate PEO coating and vancom.cin,no signs of inflam.ation were observed,while an inflam.atory reaction developed in the area of im.lantation of bare alloy,followed by *** release tests from.the coatings show a sharp decrease in the concentration of the released antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experim.nt,no significant deviations in the condition and behavior of the anim.ls were observed;clinical tests did not reveal a system.c toxic reaction.
