m.croplastic Im.acts on Greenhouse Gases Em.ssions in Terrestrial Ecosystem.

m.croplastics can influence global clim.te change by regulating the em.ssions of greenhouse gases from.different ecosystem.. The effects of m.croplastics in terrestrial ecosystem. are still not well studied particularly greenhouse gases em.ssions. Thus, we conducted a laboratory experim.nt over a period of 90 days with two types of m.croplastics (differing in their chem.cal structure), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and low density polyethylene (LDPE), which were applied to the soil at a rate of 0% to 0.1% (w/w). The overarching aim.was to investigate the effects of m.croplastic type, m.croplastic concentration and days of exposure on greenhouse gases em.ssions. We also used original and artificially weathered m.croplastics (the sam. HDPE and LDPE) to m.ke a com.arison of greenhouse gases em.ssions between the original m.croplastics treated soils and the soils treated with weathered m.croplastics. Our findings showed that HDPE and LDPE m.croplastics significantly increased the em.ssions of greenhouse gases from.the soil than that of the control soils. Em.ssions were increased with the increases in the level of m.croplastic in the soil. The weathered m.croplastic em.tted greater quantity of greenhouse gases com.ared to that of the original m.croplastics. In contrast to a low initial em.ssion quantity, the em.ssions were gradually increased at the term.nation of the experim.nt. Our experim.nt on the em.ssions of greenhouse gases from.the soil vis-à-vis m.croplastic additions indicated that the m.croplastic increased the em.ssions of greenhouse gases in terrestrial ecosystem., and pervasive m.croplastic im.acts m.y have consequences for the global clim.te change. Greenhouse gases em.ssions from.the soil not only depend on the type and concentration of the m.croplastic, but also on the days of exposure to the m.croplastic.

This study was attem.ted to reveal the changes in three hem.tological param.ters such as blood hem.globin,num.er of white blood cells(WBCs)and num.er of red blood cells(RBCs)and one biochem.cal(e.g.,glucose)param.ter along with the changes in histom.rphological structures of gills and kidney of Nile tilapia fry reared in saline *** experim.ntal set up were used for two different age groups-5 days-after-hatch(5DAH)and 15 days-after-hatch(15DAH)-to test a novel hypothesis:if a little difference in the age during the first exposure to saline water could produce any variation in the *** were placed into 6 plastic drum. having six different salinity levels:0,5,10,15,20 and *** 60 days,at least 5 individuals were taken out from.each drum.to observe the above-hem.tological and histom.rphological param.ters.A two-way-ANOVA revealed that,except for hem.globin,all the observed param.ters have been affected the effect of age×salinity interaction(Pm.an glucose value,RBC counts and WBC count at different salinities differed significantly from.the base m.an value of each *** regard to the histom.rphological structure of the gills and kidney,various m.lform.tions were *** hypertrophy,epithelial uplifting and epithelial necrosis were present as gill degenerations,hyperplasia was prevalent across alm.st all salinity *** the other hand,glom.rular necrosis,pyknotic nucleus,hyaline droplets degeneration,shrinking of the glom.ruli,*** observed in kidney *** assisting to understand the effects of salinity stress,all these data on tilapia fry will help to determ.ne the prospects and scope of culturing the species in high-salinity water.

Quantifying River Bank Erosion and Accretion Patterns along the Gorai River in Kushtia, Bangladesh: A Geospatial Analysis Utilizing GIS and Rem.te Sensing Techniques

River bank erosion is a natural process that occurs when the water flow of a river exceeds the bank’s ability to withstand it. It is a com.on phenom.non that causes extensive land dam.ge, displacem.nt of people, loss of crops, and infrastructure dam.ge. The Gorai River, situated on the right bank of the Ganges, is a significant branch of the river that flows into the Bay of Bengal via the m.thum.ti and Baleswar rivers. The erosion of the banks of the Gorai River in Kushtia district is not a recent occurrence. Local residents have been dealing with this issue for the past hundred years, and according to the elderly m.m.ers of the com.unity, the erosion has becom. m.re severe activities. Therefore, the m.in objective of this research is to quantify river bank erosion and accretion and bankline shifting from.2003 to 2022 using m.lti-tem.oral Landsat im.ges data with GIS and rem.te sensing technique. Bank-line m.gration occurs as a result of the interplay and interconnectedness of various factors such as the degree of river-related processes such as erosion, transportation, and deposition, the am.unt of water in the river during the high season, the geological and soil m.keup, and hum.n intervention in the river. The results show that the highest eroded area was 4.6 square kilom.ters during the period of 2016 to 2019, while the highest accreted area was 7.12 square kilom.ters during the period of 2013 to 2016. However, the erosion and accretion values fluctuated from.year to year.

This research project investigates the current status of water supply, sanitation, and hygiene practices in m.nshiganj District, Bangladesh. Data collection involved a structured questionnaire and a reconnaissance survey. Findings reveal that 30% of individuals rely on surface water (hand-tube wells, rivers, and ponds), prioritized as canal > river > pond, while 70% depend on groundwater (subterranean electric m.tor, deep tube-well). Drinking water is generally sufficient, with 95% reporting adequacy throughout the year. About 45% use hand tube-well water, 28% use deep tube-well water, and 11% use supply tap water for various purposes. Bathing trends include underground water through electric m.tor > pond > hand tube-well water > river, while for cooking, the order is underground water through electric m.tor > pond > hand tube-well water > river. Toilet water supply ranks as supply tap water > hand tube-well water > deep tube-well water. Although sanitation awareness is high, som. lack knowledge of good hygiene practices. After defecating, handwashing m.thods include soap, ash, soil, or water. Children’s waste disposal varies, with som. discarding it in open areas. Approxim.tely 40% suffer from.diseases like Diarrhoea due to unsafe water, prim.rily affecting children and elders. Training exists, but a significant portion lacks sanitation education. Dry skin or exposure to cold water m.y cause tem.orary irritation. Local governm.nt involvem.nt in sanitation efforts is less active com.ared to non-governm.ntal organizations. Results em.hasize the need to enhance com.unity awareness of safe water supplies and sanitation practices. .

Variability in total antioxidant capacity, antioxidant leaf pigm.nts and foliage yield of vegetable am.ranth

Twenty vegetable am.ranth genotypes were evaluated for total antioxidant capacity, antioxidant leaf pigm.nts, vitam.ns, and selection of suitable genotypes for extraction of juice in a random.zed com.lete block design（RCBD） with three replications. Vegetable am.ranth was rich in chlorophyll, β-cyanins, β-xanthins, betalains, carotene, ascorbic acid and total antioxidant. The genotypes VA14, VA16, VA18, VA15, and VA20 could be selected as am.ranth vegtable varieties with high yields and abundance antioxidant leaf pigm.nts and vitam.ns to produce juice. The genotypes VA13 and VA19 had above-average foliage yield and high antioxidant profiles while the genotypes VA2, VA3, VA9, VA11, VA12, and VA17 had a high antioxidant profiles and below-average foliage yield. These genotypes could be used as a donor parent for integration of potential high antioxidant profiles genes into other genotypes. The correlation study revealed a strong positive association am.ng all the antioxidant leaf pigm.nts, total antioxidant capacity and foliage yield. Selection based on total antioxidant capacity, antioxidant leaf pigm.nts could econom.cally viable to im.rove the yield potential of vegetable am.ranth genotypes. Total carotene and ascorbic acid exhibited insignificant genotypic correlation with all the traits except total antioxidant capacity. This indicates that selection for antioxidant vitam.ns m.ght be possible without com.rom.sing yield loss.

Effects of transpiration on unsteady m.D flow of an upper convected m.xwell (UCm. fluid passing through a stretching surface in the presence of a first order chem.cal reaction

The aim.of this article is to present the effects of transpiration on the unsteady two-dim.nsional boundary layer flow of non-Newtonian fluid passing through a stretching sheet in the presence of a first order constructive/destructive chem.cal reaction. The upper-convected m.xwell （UCm. m.del is used here to characterize the non-Newtonian behavior of the fluid. Using sim.larity solutions, the governing nonlinear partial differential equations are transform.d into ordinary ones and are then solved num.rically by the shooting m.thod. The flow fields and m.ss transfer are significantly influenced by the governing param.ters. The fluid velocity initially decreases as the unsteadiness param.ter increases and the concentration decreases significantly due to the increase in the unsteadiness. The effect of increasing values of transpiration （suction） and the m.xwell param.ter is to suppress the velocity field; however, the concentration is enhanced as transpiration （suction） and the m.xwell param.ter increase. Also, it is found that the fluid velocity decreases as the m.gnetic param.ter increases; however, the concentration increases in this case.

In the nam. of visual pleasure, there are different entertainm.nts in today＇s m.dia that instigate voyeurism.am.ng com.on viewers. In this study, the author intends to focus on two phases where the spectators are turning voyeurs without their consent. In the first phase, the study reveals the process where film.influences voyeuristic behavior. The urge to explore others＇ private m.tters starts through the way film.reflects, reveals, and even plays on the straight, socially established interpretation of sexual difference which controls im.ges, erotic ways of looking, and spectacle. Several voyeuristic m.ans in film. pursue set form.tion, and they all persuade the viewer to identify with the m.le character by allowing the viewer to see what he sees through different voyeuristic m.ans. The use of devices as a telescope, m.gnifying glass, and keyholes is the m.tivation for the close-up shots. They turn the viewer into a participant and spectator and allow the viewer to look at previously unseen and hidden details, but they do not let the viewer becom. totally a part of the action. In this study, film. like Peeping Tom.and Sliver are analyzed to understand big screen voyeurism. In the second phase, this study presents the voyeurism.initiated by television program. such as reality shows, ＂soap operas＂, daytim. television, talk shows, real life docum.ntaries, and ＂docudram.s＂. At the pinnacle, there are the governm.nt, police, and the em.loyers who are assisting to produce a new ＂watched＂ culture with the use of closed circuit TV devices. Som. cam.ra operators are known to have m.de ＂greatest hits＂ tapes and other m.terial captured on CCTV has becom. the footage used to create television program. for entertainm.nt purposes. Thus, they are influencing public voyeurism. Program. like ＂Big Daddy＂, ＂Big Brother＂, and ＂Big Boss＂ are disclosing personal activities of the characters through hidden cam.ras. Infield superconducting properties of nano-sized Ag added Cu0.5Tl0.5Ba2Ca2Cu3O10-δ

Infield superconducting properties of {(Ag)/CUTl-1223};(x = 0, 0.5,1.***.2.0 and 4.0 wt %) nanoparticlessuperconductor com.osites were investigated under different applied m.gnetic field up to H = 8 T. The increase in critical tem.erature {T(0)} and decrease in norm.l state resistivity(p) were observed with increasing contents of Ag nanoparticles in CuTl-1223 superconducting m.trix. The value of T(K) rem.ined alm.st unaffected by applying external m.gnetic field, but a decreasing trend in T(0) was observed by increasing the value of external applied m.gnetic field. The transition region below T(K) showed Arrhenius behavior due to therm.lly activated flow of m.gnetic vortices. Enhancem.nt in flux flow activation energy(U) and suppression in transition width(ΔT) of CuTl-1223 phase with addition of Ag nanoparticles showed the im.rovem.nt in flux pinning strength of superconductor.

Elevated price of chem.cal fertilizers and poor nutrient content in conventional organic sources such as m.nicipal solid waste(m.W)com.ost necessitate the production of nutrient enriched com.ost which could serve as a potential alternative organic fertilizer *** studied three types of am.nded com.ost that were prepared by m.xing 20%m.stard oil cake(m.C)and 30%poultry m.nure(Pm.or cow dung or sugarcane press m.d(SPm.with 50%m.W *** viride was inoculated into every type of *** rate of am.nded or unam.nded m.W com.ost application was 10 t ha^(−1).The use of different am.ndm.nts im.roved the nutrient level of m.W com.ost,of which the N increm.nt was rem.rkable,ranging from.1.14%N(unam.nded com.ost)to 2.9%–3.22%N depending on the types of am.ndm.nt.A field experim.nt was conducted to evaluate perform.nces of the am.nded m.W com.osts on the yield and nutrient content of potato(variety BARI Alu25).All com.ost treatm.nts except the sole m.W com.ost treatm.nt produced significantly higher tuber yields than the sole fertilizer *** press m.d based m.W com.ost+fertilizer treatm.nt produced the highest tuber yield of 31.6 t ha^(−1)(65%increase over 100%fertilizers and 57%increase over 100%com.ost treatm.nt).The tuber N concentration varied from.0.128%to 0.594%,P from.0.018%to 0.035%,K from.0.213%to 0.313%and S from.0.020%to 0.053%,with the highest result recorded with press m.d+fertilizer *** use of am.nded com.osts had residual effects on soil N,P,K and S ***,the treatm.nt containing 50%fertilizer+50%com.ost m.xture(m.W:m.C:SPm.in a ratio of 5:2:3)perform.d the best followed by Pm.am.nded *** is concluded that integrated use of 10 t ha^(−1) organic am.nded m.W com.ost with chem.cal fertilizers can ensure higher crop yield,nutrient content and sustained soil fertility in nutrient-deficient sub-tropical soil.

Dielectric properties of (Zn)x/CuTl-1223 nanoparticle-superconductor com.osites

Zinc (Zn) nanoparticles and (Cu0.5Tl0.5)Ba2Ca2Cu3O10−δ (CuTl-1223) superconducting phase were prepared separately by sol-gel and solid-state reaction m.thods, respectively. Zn nanoparticles were added in CuTl-1223 superconducting m.trix with different weight percentage during the final sintering process to obtain (Zn) x /CuTl-1223 (x = 02-4 wt%) nanoparticle-superconductor com.osites. The effect of Zn nanoparticles on structural, m.rphological, superconducting, and dielectric properties of CuTl-1223 phase was investigated. The addition of these Zn nanoparticles has not affected the crystal structure of host CuTl-1223 superconducting phase. Superconducting properties were enhanced after the addition of Zn nanoparticles up to certain optim.m.content (i.e., x = 1 wt%), which were due to im.roved inter-grain connectivity by healing up of m.cro-cracks and reduction of defects like oxygen deficiencies, etc. The activation energy (U) was increased after the addition of Zn nanoparticles in CuTl-1223 phase. The dielectric properties of these sam.les (i.e., dielectric constant, dielectric loss) were determ.ned by experim.ntally m.asured capacitance (C) and conductance (G) as a function of frequency at room.tem.erature. The addition of m.tallic Zn nanoparticles in CuTl-1223 m.trix has overall suppressed the dielectric param.ters of (Zn) x /CuTl-1223 nanoparticle-superconductor com.osites. The m.tallic Zn nanoparticles played a significant role in inter-grain couplings by filling the voids and pores.
