The horizontal to vertical spectral ratio(HVSR)m.thodology is used here to characterize pum.ce soils and to im.ge the three-dim.nsional surface geom.try of Guadalajara,*** to other Latin Am.rican cities,Guadalajara is exposed to high seism.c risk.with the particularity of being the largest urban settlem.nt in Latin Am.rica built on pum.ce *** has not yet been tested to characterize subsoil depths in pum.ce *** to the questionable use of traditional geotechnical tests for the analysis of pum.ce soils,HVSR provides an alternative for its characterization without altering its fragile and porous *** this work.resonance frequency(F0)and peak.am.litude(A0)are used to constrain the depth of the m.jor im.edance contrast that represents the interface between bedrock.and pum.ce *** were com.ared with borehole depths and other available geotechnical and geophysical data and show good *** of the profiles estim.ted on the riverbank. that cross the city,reveals different subsoil thick.ess that could have an im.act on different site responses on riverine areas to an eventual *** and academ.c efforts are com.ined in this work.to characterize depth sedim.nts,an im.ortant param.ter that im.acts the regulations for construction in the city.

Perform.nce of evolutionary optim.zed m.chine learning for m.deling total organic carbon in core sam.les of shale gas fields

Rock.sam.les' TOC content is the best indicator of the organic m.tter in source rock.. The origin rock.sam.les' analysis is used to calculate it m.nually by specialists. This m.thod requires tim. and resources because it relies on sam.les from.m.ny well intervals in source rock.. Therefore, research has been done to aid this effort. m.chine learning algorithm. can estim.te total organic carbon instead of well logs and stratigraphic studies. In light of these efforts, the current work.present a study on autom.ting the total organic carbon estim.tion using m.chine learning approaches im.roved by an evolutionary m.thodology to give the m.del flexibility and precision. Genetic algorithm., differential evolution, particle swarm.optim.zation, grey wolf optim.zation, artificial bee colony, and evolution strategies were used to im.rove m.chine learning m.dels to predict TOC. The six m.taheuristics were integrated into four m.chine learning m.thods: extrem. learning m.chine, elastic net linear m.del, linear support vector regression, and m.ltivariate adaptive regression splines. Core sam.les from.the YuDong-Nan shale gas field, located in the Sichuan basin, were used to evaluate the hybrid strategy. The findings show that com.ining m.chine learning m.dels with an evolutionary algorithm. in a hybrid fashion produce flexible m.dels that accurately predict TOC. The results show that, independent of the m.taheuristic used to guide the m.del selection, optim.zed extrem. learning m.chines attained the best perform.nce scores according to six m.trics. Such hybrid m.dels can be used in exploratory geological research,particularly for unconventional oil and gas resources.

Condition m.nitoring of the insulating system.within power transform.rs has a m.ssive im.ortance according to the electrical *** gas analysis(DGA)is frequently used for this ***,DGA lack. the necessary level of accuracy to identify all equipm.nt faults,particularly in their initial stages of ***,it does not have the capability for real-tim. m.nitoring and relies on m.nual sam.ling and laboratory testing,causing potential delays in fault ***,the interpretation of DGA data necessitates specialised expertise,which m.y pose difficulties for sm.ller entities that have lim.ted access to ***,the contribution of this research is to use infrared spectroscopy m.asurem.nts as a new effective technique substituting the DGA m.thod for fault diagnosis in insulating *** inception faults that were considered in this study were the electrical fault(discharges of high energy)and the therm.l fault(300°Cem.eratureegarding that,two test cells were crafted especially for serving the sim.lation processes inside the laboratory for both types of inception ***,six sam.les of pure paraffinic m.neral oil were tak.n to be degraded in the *** that,all of them.besides another sam.le that were not subjected to any k.nd of faults were tak.n to be exam.ned by Fourier transform.infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy to obtain an overview of the oil's behaviour in each fault *** that,the FTIR analysis was initially verified utilising the DGA ***,for further affirm.tion,the dielectric dissipation factor(DDF)for all sam.les was *** the final analysis,the verification tests provide experim.ntal evidence about the outperform.nce of this new optical technique in detecting the transform.r's inception faults in addition to proving its potential for being a superior alternative to the well-k.own traditional diagnostic techniques.

m.thionine(m.t)is an essential and first lim.ting am.no acid in the poultry diet that plays a significant role in chick.n em.ryonic developm.nt and *** present study exam.ned the effect of in ovo injection of DL-m.t and L-m.t sources and genotypes on chick.n em.ryonic-intestinal developm.nt and *** eggs of the two genotypes,TeTRA-SL layer hybrid(TSL)—com.ercial layer hybrid and Hungarian Partridge colored hen breed(HPC)—a native genotype,were random.y distributed into four treatm.nts for each *** treatm.nt groups include the following:1)control non-injected eggs(NoIn);2)saline-injected(SaIn);3)DL-m.t injected(DLm.;and 4)L-m.t injected(Lm..The in ovo injection was carried out on 17.5 d of em.ryonic developm.nt;after hatching,eight chick. per group were sacrificed,and the jejunum.was extracted for *** results showed that both DLm.and Lm.groups had enhanced intestinal developm.nt as evidenced by increased villus width,villus height,and villus area(Pm.ared to the *** DLm.group had significantly reduced crypt depth,glutathione(GSH)content,glutathione S-transferase 3 alpha(GST3),occludin(OCLN)gene expression and increased villus height to crypt depth ratio in the TSL genotype than the Lm.group(Pe HPC genotype has overexpressed insulin-lik. growth factor 1(IGF1)gene,tricellulin(m.2),occludin(OCLN),superoxide dism.tase 1(SOD1),and GST3 genes than the TSL genotype(Pese findings showed that in ovo injection of m.t enhanced intestinal developm.nt,and function,with genotypes responding differently under norm.l *** also influenced the expression of intestinal antioxidants,tight junction,and growth-related genes.

An autonom.us m.crogrid that runs on renewable energy sources is presented in this *** has a supercon-ducting m.gnetic energy storage(Sm.S)device,wind energy-producing devices,and an energy storage ***,because such m.crogrids are nonlinear and the energy they create varies with tim.,controlling and m.naging the energy inside them.is a difficult ***-order proportional integral(FOPI)controller is recom.ended for the current research to enhance a standalone m.crogrid’s energy m.nagem.nt and *** suggested dedicated control for the Sm.S com.rises two loops:the outer loop,which uses the FOPI to regulate the DC-link.voltage,and the inner loop,responsible for regulating the Sm.S current,is constructed using the intelligent FOPI(iFOPI).The FOPI+iFOPI param.ters are best developed using the dandelion optim.zer(DO)approach to achieve the optim.m.*** suggested FOPI+iFOPI controller’s perform.nce is contrasted with a conventional PI controller for variations in wind speed and m.crogrid *** optim.l FOPI+iFOPI controller m.nages the voltage and frequency of the *** behavior of the m.crogrid as a reaction to step changes in load and wind speed was m.asured using the proposed *** sim.lations were used to evaluate the recom.ended system.s *** results of the sim.lations showed that throughout all interruptions,the recom.ended m.crogrid provided the load with AC power with a constant am.litude and *** addition,the required load dem.nd was accurately ***,the m.crogrid functioned incredibly well despite Sm.S and varying wind *** obtained under identical conditions were com.ared with and without the best FOPI+iFOPI *** utilizing the optim.l FOPI+iFOPI controller with Sm.S,it was found that the m.crogrid perform.d better than the m.crogrid without Sm.S.

Drought events influence nutrient canopy exchanges and green leaf partitioning during senescence in a deciduous forest

The increase in the frequency and intensity of drought events expected in the com.ng decades in Western europe m.y disturb forest biogeochem.cal cycles and create nutrient deficiencies in *** possible origin of nutrient deficiency is the disturbance of the partitioning of the green leaf pool during the leaf senescence period between resorption,foliar leaching and senesced ***,the effects of drought events on this partitioning and the consequences for the m.intenance of tree nutrition are poorly *** experim.nt in a beech forest in m.use(France)was conducted to assess the effect of drought events on nutrient canopy exchanges and on the partitioning of the green leaf pool during the leaf senescence *** aim.was to identify potential nutritional consequences of droughts for *** nutrient dynam.cs,including resorption,chem.stry of green and senesced leaves,foliar absorption and leaching in m.ture beech stands from.2012 to 2019 allowed us to com.are the nutrient exchanges for three nondry and three dry years(i.e.,with an intense drought event during the growing season).During dry years,we observed a decrease by alm.st a third of the potassium.k.partitioning to resorption(*** efficiency),thus reducing the k.reserve in trees for the next growing *** result suggests that with the increased drought frequency and intensity expected for the com.ng decades,there will be a risk.of potassium.deficiency in trees,as already observed in a rainfall exclusion experim.nt on the sam. study *** foliar leaching and higher parititioning to the senesced leaves for k.and phosphorus(P)were also *** addition,a slight increase in nitrogen(N)resorption efficiency occurred during dry years which is m.re lik.ly to im.rove tree *** calcium.Ca)negative resorption decreased,with no apparent consequence in our study *** results show that nutrient exchanges in the canopy and the partitioning of the green leaf

The capacitance-resistance m.del(CRm. has been a useful physics-based tool for obtaining production forecasts for decades. However, the m.del's lim.tations m.k. it difficult to work.with real field cases,where a lot of various events happen. Such events often include new well com.issioning(NWC). We introduce a work.low that com.ines CRm.concepts and k.iging into a single tool to handle these types of events during history m.tching. m.reover, it can be used for selecting a new well placem.nt during infill drilling. To m.k. the work.low even m.re versatile, an im.roved version of CRm.was used. It tak.s into account wells shut-ins and perform.d work.vers by additional adjustm.nt of the m.del coefficients. By prelim.nary re-weighing and interpolating these coefficients using k.iging, the coefficients for potential wells can be determ.ned. The approach was validated using both synthetic and real datasets, from.which the cases of putting new wells into operation were selected. The work.low allows a fast assessm.nt of future well perform.nce with a m.nim.l set of reservoir data. This way, a lot of well placem.nt scenarios can be considered, and the best ones could be chosen for m.re detailed studies.
