Effects of inoculation of Rhizobium.suspension on nodulation and plant growth were exam.ned withAlbizzia procera, Albizzia lebbeck.and Leucaena leucocephala seedlings grown on sterilized and non-sterilizedsoil m.dia. Inoculation resulted in nodule num.er increases of 28.6, 29.02 and 23.9 tim.s in sterilized soiland 3.4, 3.6 and 3.27 tim.s in non-sterilized soil for A. parocera A. lebbeck.and L. leucocephala seedlingsrespectively. Total dry m.ss increased by 127.6%, 66.7% and 60.7% in sterilized soil and 100%, 95.5%and 52.65% in non-sterilized soil for these three legum. trees, respectively, after a period of two *** high inoculation responses of root length, root diam.ter, collar diam.ter, shoot length, and drym.ss of root, shoot, leaves and nodules were also observed in both sterilized and non-sterilized soil m.dia ascom.ared to respective control treatm.nts. The response to inoculation was strong in sterilized and m.destin non-sterilized soils. The significantly higher response to Rhizobium.inoculation over control in all thespecies tested suggested that application of Rhizobium.greatly enhanced plant growth, nodulation, biom.ssproduction and nitrogen-fixing activity of the nodules.

Econom.cs of the plant species used in hom.stead agroforestry on an offshore Sandwip Island of Chittagong District, Bangladesh

This study was perform.d in five villages of Sandwip Upazila, Chittagong district with a view to identify the tree resources, utilization pattern and econom.c return of m.jor fruit and tim.er tree species. Inform.tion collected from.a total of 60 households ranging from.m.rginal, sm.ll, m.dium.and large categories. Num.er of plant species increased with the increase of hom.stead area. A total of 33 plant species were recorded from.the hom.garden, of which 19 were fruit and 14 were tim.er tree species. Considerable num.er of vegetables was also planted under the shade of the hom.stead trees. The investm.nt analysis showed that average benefit-cost ratios were greater than one, net present values were positive and internal rate of returns were m.re than 10%. Long term.investm.nt on horticulture and tim.er tree species is highly profitable if species lik. Artocarpus heterophyllus, Cocos nucifera, Tectona grandis and Swietenia m.crophylla are planted.

Effects of industrial and residential sludge on seed germ.nation and growth param.ters of Acacia auriculiform.s seedlings

A study was conducted to evaluate the effects of sludge （industrial and residential） on seed germ.nation and growth perform.nce of Acacia auriculiform.s seedlings at the nursery of Institute of Forestry and Environm.ntal Sciences, Chittagong University （IFESCU）, Bangladesh. Before sowing of the seeds, different com.inations of sludge were incorporated with the nutrient-deficient natural forest soils. Seed germ.nation and growth param.ters of the seedlings （shoot and root length, collar diam.ter, fresh and dry weight of shoot, and root and total dry biom.ss） were recorded after one, two and three m.nths of seed sowing. Physio-chem.cal param.ters （pH, organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. and heavy m.tals （chrom.um. nick.l, m.nganese, cadm.um.and zinc） of each treatm.nt were also analyzed before sowing of seeds and after harvesting of seedlings. Results show that the seed germ.nation percentage and the seedling growth param.ters varied significantly in the soil added with sludge in com.arison to control. The highest germ.nation percentage （90%） was observed in the treatm.nt of soil with residential sludge of 2：1 com.ared to control. The highest growth and biom.ss of the seedlings as well as the m.xim.m.percentage of organic carbon and nutrients （N, P and k. were also recorded in the sam. com.ination. Soil added with industrial sludge had a higher concentration of heavy m.tal than that of residential sludge. The highest concentrations of heavy m.tals were found in soil added with industrial sludge of 1：1. It is recom.ended that soil added with residential sludge of 2：1 provide good condition for better seed germ.nation and growth ofA. auriculiform.s seedlings in degraded forest soil.

A study was carried out to determ.ne the influence of different types of sludges （m.nicipal, industrial and residential） on field germ.nation, growth and nodulation of L. leucocephala seedlings in the nursery. Before sowing of seeds, different com.inations of sludges were incorporated with the nutrient deficient natural forest soils. Field germ.nation, nodulation status and physical growth param.ters of seedlings （shoot and root length, vigor index, collar diam.ter, leaf num.er, fresh and dry weight of shoot and root and total dry biom.ss increm.nt） were recorded after three and six m.nths of seed sowing. Field germ.nation, nodulation status and growth param.ters were varied significantly in the soil am.nded with sludges in com.arison to control. The highest num.er of nodule was recorded from.soil am.nded with residential sludge （ 1：1 ） and highest fresh and dry nodule weight was also found from.the sam. com.ination in both three and six m.nth old seedlings. In case of growth param.ters, the highest growth was recorded from.soil and residential sludge （ 1：1 ） com.ination com.ared to control. From.the study, it can be recom.ended that soil am.nded with residential sludge （ 1：1 ） provide better field germ.nation, growth and nodule form.tion of L. leucocephala in degraded soil.

Optim.zation of Graphene concentration in optoelectronic properties has been studied which leads to progressive stability based on Graphene-CH3NH3PbI3 em.loying nanoparticles perovsk.tes solar cells in this work. CH3NH3PbI3 wafer-based hetero-junction solar cells were developed under atm.spheric conditions using Graphite as a hole transport layer (HTL) and TiO2 as an electron transport layer (ETL). In particular a considerable enhancem.nt in power conversion efficiency (PCE m.m.Graphene concentration (0.05 g/m.). The charge injection rate is radically faster for the particular Graphene com.osition than the pristine perovsk.tes, which exposes ephem.ral absorption in near to UV range. Graphene incorporation increased the average crystallite size and reduced the band gap 1.32 eV in the visible range. The expensive m.tals such as Ag and Au have been replaced by sim.le ITO, which trem.ndously reduces the fabrication cost of the PSCs. The fabricated devices were exposed to high conservation stability without cell encapsulation am.ient condition for 150 days to show excellent stability.

Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheim.r porous m.dium

This article presents a m.them.tical m.del addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate rem.ins stationary, while the other m.ves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheim.r porous m.dium. A m.xture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is form.lated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study em.loys the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform.m.gnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invok.ng m.gnetohydrodynam.c(m.D) effects. Further, the m.del accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem.is solved via NDSolve in m.THEm.TICA. Num.rical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanom.terials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and sk.n *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling system. and optim.zing therm.l m.nagem.nt strategies. It is observed that the squeezing m.tion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed m.re vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less tim. in the region between the plates. The therm.l relaxation, however, abruptly changes the tem.erature, leading to a decrease in the tem.erature fluctuations.

We form.late the general relativistic m.gnetohydrodynam.c equations for isotherm.l plasm. in spatially fiat Reissner-Nordstroem.de Sitter m.tric by using 3＋1 split of spacetim.. Respective perturbed equations are linearized for rotating m.gnetized surroundings. These are then Fourier analyzed and the corresponding dispersion relations are obtained. These relations are discussed both analytically and num.rically in order to investigate the nature of waves with positive angular frequency around the horizon.

We theoretically study the structural, elastic and optical properties of Er Pd Bi together with its anisotropic behaviors using density functional theory. It is observed that Er Pd Bi satisfies the Born stability criteria nicely and possesses high quality of m.chinability. The anisotropic behavior of Er Pd Bi is reported with the help of theoretical anisotropy indices incorporating 3 D graphical presentation, which suggests that Er Pd Bi is highly anisotropic in nature. It is noticed that the m.nim.m.therm.l conductivity is very low for Er Pd Bi com.ared to the several species. This low value of m.nim.m.therm.l conductivity introduces the potentiality of Er Pd Bi in high-tem.erature applications such as therm.l barrier *** addition, deep optical insights of Er Pd Bi reveal that our m.terial can be used in different optoelectronic and electronic device applications ranging from.organic light-em.tting diodes, solar panel efficiency, waveguides etc. to integration of integrated circuits. Therefore, we believe that our results will provide a new insight into high-tem.erature applications and will benefit for the developm.nt of prom.sing optoelectric devices as well.

m.crostructural evolution and m.chanical properties of nanostructured Cu-Al-Ni shape m.m.ry alloys

The m.lt spinning technique, with an applied cooling rate of about 106 k.s, was used to produce a nanostructured Cu＋13.2Al＋ 5.1Ni （in wt%） shape m.m.ry alloy. The properties of nanostructured ribbons were then com.ared with those of conventional coarse struc- ture. The m.crostructural evolution was characterized using scanning electron m.croscopy （SEm., atom.c force m.croscopy （AFm. and X-ray diffraction （XRD） techniques. m.crohardness m.asurem.nts indicate a two-fold increase in hardness because of the produced nanos- lructure. Com.aring to its coarse structure, the nanostructured Cu-A1-Ni shape m.m.ry alloy exhibited the enhanced m.chanical properties including a ductility of 6.5% and a pronounced plateau in the stress-strain curve.

Clonal propagation of Bam.usa vulgaris by leafy branch cuttings

Bam.usa vulgaris Schrad ex wendl is a widely cultivated bam.oo species in rural Bangladesh for its versatile uses. The vegetative propagation becom.s the only viable alternative for this species because B. vulgaris does not set seed after sparse flowering, which m.k.s seedling progenies unavailable. A low-cost propagation trial was conducted to explore the clonal propagation techniques for the species with two types of sm.ll branch cuttings, nodal leafy cuttings and tip cuttings. The cuttings, after treating with 0, 0.1%, 0.4%, and 0.8% IBA solutions, were k.pt in non-m.st propagator to let them.to root for assessing the rooting ability. The cuttings were rooted in four week. and were allowed to grow in the polybags for 10 m.nths under nursery condition to assess their steck.ing capacity. The study reveals that both types of branch cuttings are able to develop roots, shoots, to survive and to form.rhizom. under the nursery condition. Rooting ability of the cuttings was significantly enhanced by the application of rooting horm.ne - IBA. The highest rooting percentage in nodal leafy cuttings and the tip cuttings （56.67% and 51.0%, respectively） were observed in 0.8% IBA treatm.nt, followed by 0.4% IBA and the lowest （34.3% and 30.0%, respectively） was in control. The highest num.er of root developed per cutting （9.77 and 8.33 in nodal leafy cuttings and the tip cuttings, respectively） was also obtained from.the cuttings treated with 0.8% IBA solution, followed 0.4% IBA treatm.nt and the lowest （3.1 and 2.1, respectively） was in the cuttings without treatm.nt. However, the length of the longest root varied significantly neither with the cutting types nor the concentrations of IBA solution. Survival percentage of the steck.ings in nursery condition was significantly enhanced by IBA.
