Retention behavior of U(VI) and Th(IV) as their 2, 6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid (PDCA) com.lexes on reversed phase and ion exchange (cation, anion and m.xed ion exchange) colum.s was studied and based on the results, a sim.le ion chrom.tography m.thod for the determ.nation of trace level thorium.in uranium.oxide using 0.075m. 2, 6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid (PDCA) and 1m.k.O3 in 1.2m.HNO3 as eluent (flow rate 1 m./m.n)was proposed. The advantage of the developed m.thod is that the separation of uranium.m.trix is not required prior to the ion chrom.tographic determ.nation of trace Th. Separation was carried out on a m.xed ion exchange stationary phase and a 10?4 m.arsenazo (III) solution was used as post colum. reagent for detecting the separated m.tal ions. The separation of Th from.uranium.using PDCA in the present investigation is attributed through cation exchange m.chanism. A calibration plot was constructed by following the standard addition m.thod over the concentration range of 0.25 to 10 ppm.of Th in the presence of uranium.m.trix, which resulted in a linear regression coefficient of 0.9978. The precision of the m.thod was better than 5% and the LOD for Th was found to be 0.1ppm.(S/N=3). The m.thod has been validated by com.aring the results with the results obtained from.ICP-m. analysis where the This separated from.the uranium.m.trix. The proposed m.thod is sim.le, rapid, accurate and cost effective com.ared to techniques lik. ICP-m. or ICP-AES and is suitable for the routine k.nd of analysis.

Despite its enorm.us benefits,m.ning is respon-sible for intense changes to vegetation and soil ***,after extraction,it is necessary to rehabilitate the m.ned areas,creating better conditions for the establishm.nt of plant species which is *** study evaluated m.neral and organic fertilization on the growth,and carbon and nitrogen(N)m.tabolism.of two Crotalaria species[Cro-talaria spectabilis(exotic species)and Crotalaria m.ypu-rensis(native species from.Carajás m.neral Province(Cm.)]established on a waste pile from.an iron m.ne in Cm..A control(without fertilizer application)and six fertilization m.xtures were tested(i=NPk.ii=NPk.m.cronutrients;iii=NPk.m.cronutrients+organic com.ost;iv=Pk.v=Pk.m.cronutrients;vi=Pk.m.cronutrients+organic com.ost).Fertilization contributed to increased growth of both species,and treatm.nts with NPk.and m.cronutrients had the best results(up to 257%***),while organic fertilization did not show *** Crotalaria had a greater num.er of nodules,higher nodule dry m.ss,chlorophyll a and b contents and showed free am.onium.as the predom.nant N form.reflecting greater increm.nts in biom.ss com.ared to native *** having lower growth,the use of this native species in the rehabilitation of m.ning areas should be considered,m.inly because it has good developm.nt and m.ets current governm.nt legislation as an opportunity to restore local biodiversity.

In this work.the stress intensity factors(SIFs)for a wide range of sem.-elliptical surface crack. with different inclination angles in a cylindrical bar subjected to pure tension were investigated *** m.in param.ters considered to evaluate the SIFs were the crack.size ratio(a/d),the crack.aspect ratio(a/c),and the crack.inclination angle(0).The dual-boundary elem.nt m.t hod im.lem.nted in software BEASY was used to com.ute the SIF values for *** her m.re,the general closed-form.solutions were proposed to evaluate the corresponding SIFs for m.de I,m.de II and m.de III types of fracture through curve fitting *** solutions can provide accurate and reliable values of stress intensity factors for a crack.on a cylindrical bar under pure tension in a rapid way com.ared to those obtained using com.utational *** addition,these results can be used as inputs for failure studies and life evaluations of crack.d cylinder under work.ng conditions.

High-voltage and fast-charging LiCoO2（LCO） is k.y to high-energy/power-density Li-ion ***,unstable surface structure and unfavorable electronic/ionic conductivity severely hinder its high-voltage fast-charging ***,we construct a Li/Na-B-m.-Si-O-F-rich m.xed ion/electron interface network.on the 4.65 V LCO electrode to enhance its rate capability and long-term.cycling ***,the resulting artificial hybrid conductive network.enhances the reversible conversion of Co3+/4+/O2-/n-redox by the interfacial ion–electron cooperation and suppresses interface side reactions,inducing an ultrathin yet com.act cathode electrolyte ***,the derived near-surface Na+/m.2+/Si4+-pillared local intercalation structure greatly prom.tes the Li+diffusion around the 4.55 V phase transition and stabilizes the cathode ***,excellent 3 C (1 C=274 m.A g-1) fast charging perform.nce is dem.nstrated with 73.8%capacity retention over 1000 *** findings shed new insights to the fundam.ntal m.chanism.of interfacial ion/electron synergy in stabilizing and enhancing fast-charging cathode m.terials.
