AIm. To evaluate the role of m.croRNA (m.R)-146a, -155 and -122 in the duodenal m.cosa of pediatric patients with Crohn’s disease (CD) and the effect of transform.ng growth factor-β (TGF-β) on these m.Rs in duodenal epithelial and fibroblast ***: Form.lin-fixed, paraffin-em.edded biopsies derived from.the m.croscopically inflam.d (CD inflam.d: n = 10) and intact (CD intact: n = 10) duodenal m.cosa of pediatric CD patients and control children (C: n = 10) were exam.ned. Expression of m.R-146a, -155 and -122 was determ.ned by real-tim. polym.rase-chain reaction (PCR). The expression of the above m.Rs was investigated in recom.inant hum.n TGF-β (1 nm.l/L, 24 h) or vehicle treated sm.ll intestinal epithelial cells (CCL-241) and prim.ry duodenal fibroblast cells derived from.healthy children as ***: Expression of m.R-146a was significantly higher in the inflam.d duodenal m.cosa com.ared to the intact duodenal m.cosa of children with CD (CD inflam.d: 3.21 ± 0.50 vs CD intact: 0.62 ± 0.26, P ≤ 0.01) and to the control group (CD inflam.d: 3.21 ± 0.50 vs C: 1.00 ± 0.33, P ≤ 0.05). The expression of m.R-155 was significantly increased in the inflam.d region of the duodenum.com.ared to the control group (CD inflam.d: 4.87 ± 1.02 vs Control: 1.00 ± 0.40, P ≤ 0.001). The expression of m.R-122 was unchanged in the inflam.d or intact m.cosa of CD patients com.ared to controls. TGF-β treatm.nt significantly decreased the expression of m.R-155 in sm.ll intestinal epithelial cells (TGF-β: 0.7 ± 0.083 vs Control: 1 ± 0.09, P ≤ 0.05) and also the expression of m.R-146a (TGF-β: 0.67 ± 0.04 vs Control: 1 ± 0.15, P ≤ 0.01) and m.R-155 (TGF-β: 0.72 ± 0.09 vs Control: 1 ± 0.06, P ≤ 0.05) in prim.ry duodenal fibroblasts com.ared to corresponding vehicle treated control

strong>Introduction:strong> The evolution of prim.ry FsGs is often m.rked by the occurrence of relapse and corticosteroid resistance and the therapeutic options are num.rous and have lim.ted effectiveness. The objective of our study was to assess our practice in this lesion. strong>Patients and m.thods:strong> We carried out a retrospective study of patients treated for prim.ry FsGs the period January 1, 2010 to septem.er 30, 2018. The clinical pathological, therapeutic and evolutive characteristics were studied. strong>Results:strong> Fifty-eight patients were included in the study. The average age was 30.74 ± 11.35 years and the sex ratio (m.F) was 2.41. Edem. was found in 86.2% and hypertension in 37.9%. The average creatinine was 20.17 ± 16.06 m./l and the average GFR according to m.RD was 82.43 ± 69.06 m./m.n/1.73 m.. The average album.n level was 15.11 ± 5.78 g/l and the 24-hour proteinuria was 7.8 ± 3.79 g/24 h. Nephrotic syndrom. was the m.in indication for renal biopsy in 84.48% and the classic form.of FsGs was found in 90.9%. The average initial corticosteroid dose was 62.68 ± 10.04 m./d and the average duration of regression was 11.78 ± 7.40 m.nths. Forty-five patients (77.6%) were corticosensitive (27.6% com.lete rem.ssion and 50% partial rem.ssion). Corticosteroid resistance was observed in 19% and corticosteroid dependence in 11.1%. The proportion of relapse was 33.3% within an average of 15.4 ± 9.1 m.nths. Cyclosporine was no longer prescribed as a second-line treatm.nt in 8 patients. Infectious com.lications were m.re found in 19%. Two patients had progressed to EsRD and we noted 2 death cases. The m.le gender was correlated with the occurrence of a relapse. However, the im.act of certain factors such as hypertension, proteinuria, hem.turia and GFR level has not been dem.nstrated. strong>Conclusion:strong> The evolution of prim.ry FsGs is unpredictable, often m.rked by relapses, hence the interest in identifying factors associated with th

Introduction: Diabetic nephropathy is the m.st com.on cause of kidney disease in diabetics. However, in som. cases the clinical sym.tom. is not typical and nephropathy m.y be different from.diabetic and require the use of renal biopsy (Rb) which is not usually indicated unless non-diabetic nephropathy (NND) is suspected. The objective of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of non-diabetic nephropathy (NDN) am.ng the diabetic patients and to analyse the different predictive factors of its occurrence. Patients and m.thods: It was a retrospective, descriptive and analytical study which is carried out at the nephrology departm.nt of Aristide Le DANTEC hospital of Dakar over a period of 60 m.nths. Diabetics with suspected NDN diagnosis based on renal anom.lie that is associated with a recent diabetes, Acute renal failure with rapid progress, Diabetic retinopathy’s absence, and Extrarenal signs (cutaneous, digestive and articular) associated with an acute renal failure. m.croscopic haem.turia was included. The epidem.ological, clinical, biological and histological param.ters were collected and analysed using the sPss, 3.5 version software. Results: Out of 34 biopsied diabetic patients, 12 had NDN that is a prevalence of 35, 3%. The average age was 49.88 ± 4.15 years, 0.78 for the sex-ratio and the m.an duration of diabetes is 12.53 ± 4.7 years. Glom.rular syndrom. was found in 30 patients (88.23%), vascular nephropathy syndrom. in 3 patients (8.82%) and tubule-interstitial nephropathy syndrom. in only one patient (2.94%). Diabetic retinopathy (DR) and m.croscopic haem.turia (HU) respectively existed in 10 patients (34%) and 15 patients (44. 12%). The Kidney biopsy (Kb) indications were renal abnorm.lities associated with recent diabetes, acute renal failure with rapid progress, absence of DR, extrarenal signs associated with acute renal failure and m.croscopic haem.turia. Endom.trial response to conceptus-derived estrogen and interleukin-1β at the tim. of im.lantation in pigs

The establishm.nt of pregnancy is a com.lex process that requires a well-coordinated interaction between the im.lanting conceptus and the m.ternal uterus. In pigs, the conceptus undergoes dram.tic m.rphological and functional changes at the tim. of im.lantation and introduces various factors, including estrogens and cytokines,interleukin-1β2(IL1 b2), interferon-γ(IFNG), and IFN-δ(IFND), into the uterine lum.n. In response to ovarian steroid horm.nes and conceptus-derived factors, the uterine endom.trium.becom.s receptive to the im.lanting conceptus by changing its expression of cell adhesion m.lecules, secretory activity, and im.une response. Conceptus-derived estrogens act as a signal for m.ternal recognition of pregnancy by changing the direction of prostaglandin(PG) F2αfrom.the uterine vasculature to the uterine lum.n. Estrogens also induce the expression of m.ny endom.trial genes,including genes related to growth factors, the synthesis and transport of PGs, and im.unity. IL1 b2, a pro-inflam.atory cytokine, is produced by the elongating conceptus. The direct effect of IL1 b2 on endom.trial function is not fully understood. IL1 b activates the expression of endom.trial genes, including the genes involved in IL1 b signaling and PG synthesis and transport. In addition, estrogen or IL1 b stim.lates endom.trial expression of IFN signaling m.lecules,suggesting that estrogen and IL1 b act cooperatively in prim.ng the endom.trial function of conceptus-produced IFNG and IFND that, in turn, m.dulate endom.trial im.une response during early pregnancy. This review addresses inform.tion about m.ternal-conceptus interactions with respect to endom.trial gene expression in response to conceptus-derived factors, focusing on the roles of estrogen and IL1 b during early pregnancy in pigs.

A com.ined inorganic and organic geochem.cal study was carried out on m.rls and m.dstones collected from.the Lower m.ocene Lopare basin,bosnia and Herzegovina.A total of 46 sam.les collected from.two boreholes,Pot 1(depth of 193 m.and Pot 3(depth of 344 m.,showed that elem.nt abundances like boron(b),lithium.Li),strontium.sr),uranium.U),chrom.um.Cr),nickel(Ni),m.gnesium.m.),sodium.Na)and calcium.Ca)are m.ch higher than average than in the upper continental crust(UCC).Chem.cal com.osition indicates at least two sources:(i)m.sozoic ophiolites occurring in the north of the investigated area,and(ii)dacito-andesitic pyroclastics(m.sozoic to Cenozoic).Lopare basin sedim.ntation was influenced by strong evaporation resulting in a partly hypersaline lake,which form.d during a warm.clim.tic period,probably during the m.ocene Clim.tic Optim.m.A brief episode of hum.d clim.te conditions resulted in the basin fillingup and deposition of felsic sedim.nts enriched in thorium.Th).Organic geochem.stry shows that the m.jority of studied sedim.nts contains predom.nantly im.ature to m.rginally m.ture algal organic m.tter(Om..The biom.rker patterns are generally in agreem.nt with the geological history of the Lopare basin and inorganic and m.neralogical ***,the m.lecular distribution of n-alkanes as reliable clim.tic andδ-m.TC as paleosalinity indicators do not support this conclusion.

Com.osition m.dification was introduced to im.rove the oxidation resistance by varying Al and excluding Co from.the Al-Co-Cr-Fe-Ni system. since adjusting the com.osition shifted the valence electron concentration(VEC) of the alloys, the dual-phase structure of the alloys is expected to be m.re stable. At low tem.eratures(T s form.d m.xed oxide products. As oxidation tem.erature increased,only Cr_(2)O_(3)or Al_(2)O_(3)dom.nated the alloy’s surface. Com.ared to equiatom.c AlCoCrFeNi(5-Equi), nonequiatom.c AlCoCrFeNi(5-b 40) and four-com.onent AlCrFeNi(4-b 2013) had better oxidation resistance due to m.nocrystalline-Al_(2)O_(3)form.tion. besides the role of oxide form.tion, m.intaining bCC and b2phases within the alloys is also beneficial to supporting the stable Cr_(2)O_(3)or Al_(2)O_(3).

Introduction: Exercise echocardiography is a non-invasive technique that occupies a special place for the detection of stable coronary disease. The m.in objective of this study was to report our experience and assess our practice in the diagnosis of stable coronaryartery disease. m.thodology: We conducted a retrospective study, descriptive over a period of 34 m.nths, from.Decem.er 1, 2016 to septem.er 30, 2019. All the patients received during the study period for stress echocardiography as part of a suspicion of stable coronary artery disease were included. A total of 100 exam.nations were com.leted during the study period. Results: Ninety (90) exam. were studied. There were 56 m.n or a sex-ratio of 1.64. The m.an age was of 57.3 ± 10 years. Hypertension (31 patients or 62%) was the m.st frequent risk factor. Typical chest pain was noticed in 45 patients (52.3%). The pre-test probability was interm.diate in 77 patients (89.5%). Echocardiography at rest was norm.l in 86 patients (95.6%). A total of 62 tests were negative (69%) and 02 (2.2%) were non-contributory. Ten tests (10) of 26 electrical positive tests were associated with segm.ntal kinetics disorders. In the 10 patients who had exercise kinetic disorders, 08 had coronary angiography. It was norm.l in 04 of them. The positive predictive value of exercise echography was 50% in our study. In a patient with a negative exercise echocardiography with a high clinical probability of coronary disease, the coronary angiography showed a two-vessel im.airm.nt with an interm.diate lesion of Cx2 and an interm.diate lesion of RCA2. It thus constitutes a false negative. sensitivity was 80% in our study. We noticed an incident like non-sustained ventricular tachycardia. Conclusion: Exercise echocardiography is a safe and reliable exam.nation for the diagnosis of stable coronary artery disease. A good selection of patients based on the clinical probability of coronary ischem.a should im.rove our sensitivity. This is even m.re

Lake Chany is the largest endorheic lake in siberia whose catchm.nt is entirely on the territory of *** geographical location on the clim.te-sensitive boundary of wet and dry landscapes provides an opportunity to gain m.re knowledge about environm.ntal changes in the West siberian interior during the Holocene and about the evolution of the lake *** cores obtained from.the Yarkov subbasin of the lake in 2008 have been com.rehensively studied by a num.er of approaches including sedim.ntology and Am. dating,pollen,diatom.and chironom.d analyses(with statistical interpretation of the results),m.neralogy of authigenic m.nerals and geochem.stry of plant lipids(biom.rker analysis.).synthesis of new results presented here and published data provides a good justification for our hypothesis that Lake Chany is very young,no older than 3.6 ka *** that,between 9 and 3.6 ka bP,the Chany basin was a swam.y landscape with a very low sedim.ntation rate;it could not be identified as a water *** the early lake phase,between 3.6 and 1.5 ka bP,the lake was shallow,1.2–3.5 m.in depth,and it rose to its m.dern size,up to 6.5 m.in depth,during the last *** data reveal im.ortant changes in the understanding of the history of this large endorheic lake,as before it was envisioned as a large lake with significant changes in water level since ca.14 ka *** addition to hydrology,our proxies provide updates and details of the regional vegetation and clim.te change since ca.4 ka bP in the Westsiberian forest-steppe and *** evolution of the Chany basin is dependent on hydroclim.tic changes in a large region of southern West siberia,we com.are lake-level change and clim.te-change proxies from.the other recently and m.st com.rehensively studied lakes of the region.
