Socioeconom.c and environm.ntal losses caused by water erosion have highlighted the im.ortance of quantifying and understanding the dynam.cs of soil redistribution in the landscape to develop effective soil m.nagem.nt *** m.thods are applied to estim.te erosion/deposition rates and identify sources of sedim.nts,am.ng them.the one that uses rare earth elem.nts(REE)as a tracer stands ***,an alternative not yet explored that can benefit the accuracy of the estim.tes provided by the m.thod is using a tracer containing a chem.cal signature com.osed of m.re than one *** present study aim.d to evaluate the perform.nce of a new water erosion tracer based on m.ntm.ril-lonite labeled with rare earth elem.nts(La40-m.T).The innovative aspects of this La40-m.T tracer include its highly stable m.lti-chem.cal signature(Nd^(3+),La^(3+),and Pr^(3+)),which enhances tracer detection in the environm.nt,and its low production cost due to the use of an industrial residue in the synthesis *** tracer was evaluated for a typical soil of the Cerrado biom.,using a natural rainfall field-scale plot-NRFP(5 m.× 20 m.and a physical predictive erosion m.del(WEPP).The results showed that the La40-m.T tracer could be used to estim.te erosion/deposition rates,with agreem.nt between the values observed with the tracer and the WEPP ***,this study confirm.d the great potential of La40-m.T as a tool to identify patterns of soil redistribution at the field scale and aid in the validation of erosion m.dels.

In order to achieve a highly accurate estim.tion of solar energy resource potential,a novel hybrid ensem.le-learning approach,hybridizing Advanced Squirrel-Search Optim.zation Algorithm.ASSOA)and support vector regression,is utilized to estim.te the hourly tilted solar irradiation for selected arid regions in ***-term.m.asured m.teorological data,including m.an-air tem.erature,relative hum.dity,wind speed,alongside global horizontal irradiation and extra-terrestrial horizontal irradiance,were obtained for the two cities of Tam.nrasset-and-Adrar for two *** com.utational algorithm. were considered and analyzed for the suitability of *** two new algorithm.,nam.ly Average Ensem.le and Ensem.le using support vector regression were developed using the hybridization *** accuracy of the developed m.dels was analyzed in term. of five statistical error m.trics,as well as theWilcoxon rank-sum.and ANOVA *** the previously selected algorithm.,K Neighbors Regressor and support vector regression exhibited good ***,the newly proposed ensem.le algorithm. exhibited even better *** proposed m.del showed relative root m.an square errors lower than 1.448%and correlation coefficients higher than *** was further verified by benchm.rking the new ensem.le against several popular swarm.intelligence *** is concluded that the proposed algorithm. are far superior to the com.only adopted ones.

Ab-initio calculations of bandgap tuning of In1-xGax(4((4 = N, P)alloys for optoelectronic applications

The Ⅲ–V alloys and doping to tune the bandgap for solar cells and other optoelectronic devices has rem.ined a hot topic of research for the last few decades. In the present article, the bandgap tuning and its influence on optical properties of In1-xGaxN/P, where(x = 0.0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.0) alloys are com.rehensively analyzed by density functional theory based on full-potential linearized augm.nted plane wave m.thod(FP-LAPW) and m.dified Becke and Johnson potentials(TB-m.J). The direct bandgaps turn from.0.7 eV to 3.44 eV, and 1.41 eV to 2.32 eV for In1-xGaxN/P alloys,which increases their potentials for optoelectronic devices. The optical properties are discussed such as dielectric constants,refraction, absorption, optical conductivity, and reflection. The light is polarized in the low energy region with m.nim.m.reflection. The absorption and optical conduction are m.xim. in the visible region, and they are shifted into the ultraviolet region by Ga doping. m.reover, static dielectric constant ε1(0) is in line with the bandgap from.Penn’s m.del.

Aggregates are the biggest contributor to concrete volum. and are a crucial param.ter in dictating its m.chanical *** such,a detailed experim.ntal investigation was carried out to evaluate the effect of sand-toaggregate volum. ratio(s/a)on the m.chanical properties of concrete utilizing both destructive and non-destructive testing(em.loying UPV(ultrasonic pulse velocity)m.asurem.nts).For investigation,standard cylindrical concrete sam.les were m.de with different s/a(0.36,0.40,0.44,0.48,0.52,and 0.56),cem.nt content(340 and 450 kg/m.(3)),water-to-cem.nt ratio(0.45 and 0.50),and m.xim.m.aggregate size(12 and 19 m.).The effect of these design param.ters on the 7,14,and 28 d com.ressive strength,tensile strength,elastic m.dulus,and UPV of concrete were *** careful analysis dem.nstrates that aggregate proportions and size need to be optim.zed for form.lating m.x designs;optim.m.ratios of s/a were found to be 0.40 and 0.44 for the m.xim.m.aggregate size of 12 and 19 m.,respectively,irrespective of the W/C(water-to-cem.nt)and cem.nt content.

The interm.lecular interaction between poly(m.thyl m.thacrylate) (Pm.A) and polystyrene (PS) intetrahydrofuran (THF) and N,N'-dim.thyl form.m.de (Dm.) solvents was studied at 28℃ using a dilute solution viscom.trym.thod. Solvent is believed to play a key role in characterizing the viscosity behavior of the polym.r solution. The intrinsicviscosity and viscosity interaction param.ter were experim.ntally m.asured for the binary (solvent/polym.r) and for theternary system. in two solvents. The com.atibility of the polym.r m.xture was discussed in term. of the sign of △b_m. Theresults show that the com.atibility of Pm.A/PS blend in Dm. is larger than that in THF.

Pre-sowing m.gnetic field seed treatm.nt effects on biological characteristics of vegetables and crops have been studied ***,studies reporting irrigation with m.gnetically treated water are ***,the effect of irrigation with m.gnetically treated water on turnip seed germ.nation,seedling growth and enzym.tic activities was *** tap water was treated at 211 m. for 30,45 and 60 m.n and used for irrigation of turnip seed and *** and healthy turnip seed was sown under random.zed com.lete block design(RCBD).The germ.nation,em.rgence rate index,vigor index I and vigor index II increased up to 28.33%,11.54%,57.59%and 32.26%,*** growth param.ters such as seedling lengths,fresh&dry weights,chlorophyll content were also enhanced in response of irrigation with m.gnetically treated *** seedlings irrigated with m.gnetically treated water showed 28.92%,11.36%and 14.76%higher protein content,alpha am.lase and protease activities,respectively vs *** revealed that irrigation with m.gnetically treated water has potential to im.rove turnip germ.nation,seedling growth and enzym.tic activities and this study is also extendable to other vegetables and crops for the im.rovem.nt of germ.nation and growth.

The Internet of Things(IoT)has been widely adopted in various dom.ins including sm.rt cities,healthcare,sm.rt factories,*** the last few years,the fitness industry has been reshaped by the introduction of sm.rt fitness solutions for individuals as well as fitness *** IoT fitness devices collect trainee data that is being used for various ***,it will face num.rous security and privacy issues towards its *** work focuses on IoT security,especially DoS/DDoS *** this paper,we have proposed a novel blockchain-enabled protocol(BEP)that uses the notion of a self-exposing node(SEN)approach for securing fitness IoT *** blockchain and SDN architectures are em.loyed to enhance IoT security by a highly preventive security m.nitoring,analysis and response *** proposed approach helps in detecting the DoS/DDoS attacks on the IoT fitness system.and then m.tigating the *** BEP is used for handling Blockchain-related activities and SEN could be a sensor or actuator node within the fitness IoT *** provides inform.tion about the inbound and outbound traffic to the BEP which is used to analyze the DoS/DDoS attacks on the fitness IoT *** SENcalculates the inbound and outbound traffic features’entropies and transm.ts them.to the Blockchain in the form.of transaction *** BEP picks the whole m.ned blocks’transactions and transfers them.to the SDN controller *** controller node correlates the entropies data of SENs and decides about the DoS or DDoS ***,there are two decision points,one is SEN,and another is the *** evaluate the perform.nce of our proposed system.several experim.nts are perform.d and results concerning the entropy values and attack detection rate are *** proposed approach has outperform.d the other two approaches concerning the attack detection rate by an increase of 11%and 18%against Approach 1 and Approach 2 respectively.

Assessm.nt of Sea Water Inundation Along Daboo Creek Area in Indus Delta Region, Pakistan

Indus Deltaic Region(IDR) in Pakistan is an erosion vulnerable coast due to the high deep water wave energy. Livelihood of m.llions of people depends on the fisheries and m.ngrove forests in IDR. IDR consists of m.ny creeks where Daboo is a m.jor creek located at southeast of the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi. Unfortunately, there has been no detailed study to analyze the dam.ges of sea water intrusion at a large tem.oral and spatial scale. Therefore, this study is designed to estim.te the effects of sea water inundation based on changing sea water surface salinity and sea surface tem.erature(SST). Sea surface salinity and SST data from.two different surveys in Daboo creek during 1986 and 2010 are analyzed to estim.te the dam.ges and extent of sea water intrusion. m.an salinity has increased 33.33% whereas m.an SST decreased 13.79% from.1987 to 2010. Spatio-tem.oral analysis of creek area using LANDSAT 5 Them.tic m.pper(Tm. data for the years 1987 and 2010 shows significant am.unt of erosion at m.cro scale. Creek area has increased approxim.tely 9.93%(260.86 m.2 per year) which is roughly equal to 60 extensive sized shrim. farm.. Further Land Use Land Cover(LULC) analyses for years 2001 and 2014 using LANDSAT 7 Enhanced Them.tic m.pper Plus(ETm.) has indicated 42.3% decrease in cultivated land. Wet m.d flats have spread out at the inner m.uth of creek with enorm.us increase of 123.3%. Significant sea water intrusion has increased the area of barren land by 37.9%. This also resulted in overall decrease of 6.7% in area covered by m.ngroves. Therefore, this study recorded a significant evidence of sea water intrusion in IDR that has caused serious dam.ges to com.unity living in the area, econom.cal losses. Additionally, it has also changed the environm.nt by reducing creek biological productivity as reported by earlier studies over other regions of the world.
