Pm. 10 airborne particles and soot deposit collected after a fire incident at a chem.cal store were analyzed in order to determ.ne the concentrations of polycyclic arom.tic hydrocarbons(PAHs). The sam.les were extracted with 1∶1 hexane-dichlorom.thane by ultrasonic agitation. The extracts were then subjected to gas chrom.tography-m.ss spectrom.tric(GC-m.) analysis. The total PAHs concentrations in airborne particles and soot deposit were found to be 3.27±1.55 ng/m. 3 and 12.81±24.37 μg/g, respectively. Based on the m.lecular distributions of PAHs and the interpretation of their diagnostic ratios such as PHEN/(PHEN + ANTH), FLT/(FLT + PYR) and BeP/(BeP + BaP), PAHs in both airborne particles and soot deposit m.y be inferred to be from.the sam. source. The difference in the value of IP/(IP + BgP) for these sam.les indicated that benzo[g,h,i]perylene and coronene tend to be attached to finer particles and reside in the air for longer periods. Com.arison between the m.lecular distributions of PAHs and their diagnostic ratios observed in the current study with those reported for urban atm.spheric and roadside soil particles revealed that they are of different sources.

Am.lioration of saline-sodic soils through land preparation with three tillage im.lem.nts （disc plow, rotavator and cultivator） each followed by application of sulfuric acid at 20% of gypsum.（CaSO4-2H2O） requirem.nt or no sulfuric acid application during crop growth period was evaluated in a field study for 2.5 years at three sites, i.e., Jhottianwala, Gabrika （Thabal）, and Thatta Langar, in Tehsil Pindi Bhattian, Hafizahad District, Pakistan. Within 2.5 years, there was a decrease in the salinity param.ters m.asured （electrical conductivity, pH, and sodium.adsorption ratio）, with a gradual increase in rice and wheat grain yields. It was observed that the disc plow, which not only ensured favorable yields but also helped im.rove soil health at all the three sites, was the m.st effective tillage im.lem.nt. Also, application of sulfuric acid resulted in higher yields and prom.ted rapid am.lioration of the saline-sodic soils.

The present article describes a detailed neutron sim.lation study in the energy range 10^-10 m.V to 1.0 GeV for two different RPC configurations. The sim.lation studies were taken by using the GEANT4 m. code. Alum.num.was utilized on the GND and readout strips for the （a） Bakelite-based and （b） glass-based RPCs. For the form.r type of RPC setup the neutron sensitivity for the isotropic source was Sn = 2.702 × 10^-2 at En = 1.0 GeV, while for the latter type of RPC, the neutron sensitivity for the sam. source was evaluated as Sn = 4.049 × 10^-2 at En = 1.0 GeV. These results were further com.ared with the previous RPC configuration in which copper was used for ground and pickup pads. Additionally A1 was em.loyed at （GND＋strips） of the phosphate glass RPC setup and com.ared with the copper-based phosphate glass RPC. Good agreem.nt with sensitivity values was obtained with the current and previous sim.lation results.

For m.re than 20 years nuclear physicists have used the GEANT code to sim.late particle-m.tter interaction. In m.st recent version, GEANT4 is a toolkit for sim.lating the passage of particles though m.tter, which contains a com.lete range of functionality including tracking, geom.try, physics m.dels, and hits. In this article, an attem.t to use GEANT4 to m.del a double-gap resistive plate cham.er （RPC） with its im.roved efficiency is presented. The efficiencies of the double-gap RPC have been evaluated as a function of gam.a energy range 0.005-1000m.V. A com.arison to available previous sim.lation package GEANT3 data is also perform.d.

High resolution (4 m.) tof PET-CT (positron em.ssion tom.graphy-com.uted tom.graphy) from.Philips of m.del Ingenuity TF is newly installed at Institute of Nuclear m.dical Physics (INm.). 128 slice CT com.onent incorporated with PET provides com.aratively lower dose than the 511 keV annihilation photons associated with positron decay from.PET scan. So, for designing shielding in our PET-CT facility, only 511 keV annihilation photons energy has been considered. The m.in objective of this paper is to show what m.asures have been taken to protect patients, occupational workers as well as environm.nt from.PET-CT radiation hazard through a cost effective design that satisfy the national regulatory dem.nd. In this paper, AAPm.(Am.rican Associations of Physicists in m.dicine) Task group 108 analysis for PET and PET-CT shielding requirem.nts is followed for our PET-CT facility shielding design. From.theoretical calculation as shielding requirem.nt, 1.1 cm.Pb thickness or, 13 cm.concrete thicknesses are found. Practically, all walls and ceiling are of 30.48 cm.(1 foot) thick m.de of concrete with density 2.35 gcm.3 for m.re safety. As x-ray from.CT is not taken into account for shielding analysis, Bangladesh Atom.c Energy Com.ission (BAEC) conducted an extensive radiation survey at controlled, supervised and public area for CT. The report that is found m.ets the national regulatory requirem.nts.

Im.ge contrast recovery coefficient (CRC) of a large ring PET scanner “m.croPET” was studied with septa and without septa configuration by ac-quiring data from.a laboratory m.de 35.7 cm.square phantom.filled with 18-F. Im.ges were reconstructed with sim.le 2D filtered back projection using Hann, Ham.ing and Parsen filters with different cut-off frequencies aim.ng to investigate the influence of filter and cut-off frequency on im.ge contrast with septa and without septa m.de. Results indicate that the CRC, for both hot and cold lesions, is excellent for diam.ters ≥ 3 cm.using cut-off frequencies > 0.4. For a 2 cm.hot lesion CRC is around 0.8 to 0.9. CRC for 1 cm.hot and cold lesions is ~0.3, as expected. There is surprisingly little difference between results with and without septa. For hot lesions, septa appear to im.rove CRC slightly, but for cold lesions CRC is slightly poorer using septa.

This study explores the possibility of discovering H±through its bosonic decays,i.e.,H±→W±φ(whereφ=h or A),within the Type-I two Higgs doublet m.del(2HDm..The m.in objective is to dem.nstrate the available param.ter space after applying recent experim.ntal and theoretical exclusion *** suggest that m.±=150 GeV is the m.st probable m.ss for the H±→W±φdecay channel in pp collisions at s1/2=8,13,and 14 *** also report on the application of a m.dern m.chine learning approach to a m.ltivariate technique for heavy charged Higgs production in association with a single top quark through weak interaction to dem.nstrate its observability in com.arison with the m.st relevant Standard m.del backgrounds using the neural networks of boosted decision Tree(BDT),likelihood(LH),and m.ltilayer perceptron(m.P).

Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinom.(KIRC)is a m.lignant tum.r that carries a substantial risk of m.rbidity and *** m.P fam.ly assum.s a crucial role in tum.r invasion and *** study aim.d to uncover the m.chanistic relevance of the m.P gene fam.ly as a therapeutic target and diagnostic biom.rker in Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinom.(KIRC)through a com.rehensive approach encom.assing both com.utational and m.lecular ***,Cytoscape,UALCAN,GEPIA,OncoDB,HPA,cBioPortal,GSEA,TIm.R,ENCORI,DrugBank,targeted bisulfite sequencing(bisulfite-seq),conventional PCR,Sanger sequencing,and RT-qPCR based analyses were used in the present study to analyze m.P gene fam.ly m.m.ers to accurately determ.ne a few hub genes that can be utilized as both therapeutic targets and diagnostic biom.rkers for *** perform.ng STRING and Cytohubba analyses of the 24 m.P gene fam.ly m.m.ers,m.P2(m.trix m.tallopeptidase 2),m.P9(m.trix m.tallopeptidase 9),m.P12(m.trix m.tallopeptidase 12),and m.P16(m.trix m.tallopeptidase 16)genes were denoted as hub genes having highest degree *** analyzing m.P2,m.P9,m.P12,and m.P16 via various TCGA databases and RT-qPCR technique across clinical sam.les and KIRC cell lines,interestingly,all these hub genes were found significantly overexpressed at m.NA and protein levels in KIRC sam.les relative to *** notable effect of the up-regulated m.P2,m.P9,m.P12,and m.P16 was also docum.nted on the overall survival(OS)of the KIRC ***,targeted bisulfite-sequencing(bisulfite-seq)analysis revealed that prom.ter hypom.thylation pattern was associated with up-regulation of hub genes(m.P2,m.P9,m.P12,and m.P16).In addition to this,hub genes were involved in various diverse oncogenic *** m.P gene fam.ly m.m.ers(m.P2,m.P9,m.P12,and m.P16)m.y serve as therapeutic targets and prognostic biom.rkers in KIRC.

ZSm.22 （TON） zeolite crystal m.rphology was successfully controlled using a m.crowave-assisted solvotherm.l fabrication m.thod. Different co-solvents, including ethanol, 2-propanol, glycerol, and ethylene glycol, were also applied in the synthesis m.xture. The effects of various param.ters such as the aging tim., the type and am.unt of co-solvent on the ZSm.22 crystal aspect ratio were investigated. When em.loying this m.crowave irradiation synthesis, a long aging tim. was crucial to obtain sm.ller and m.re uniform.crystal sizes. The addition of co-solvent resulted in elongated ZSm.22 crystals, regard- less of the actual co-solvent used, although ZSm.22 zeolite crystallinity was sensitive to the co-solvent type. In general, the use of a co-solvent stim.lated the appearance of ZSm.5 zeolite as an im.urity and the am.unt of this im.urity was proportional to the concentration of co-solvent in the synthesis m.xture.
