AC-current-induced m.gnetization switching in am.rphous m.crowires

We studied the influence of AC current flowing through m.crowires, on m.gnetization dynam.cs. We used a previously developed Sixtus-Tonks m.dified setup to evaluate the dom.in wall （DW） velocity within the m.crowire. However, instead of a m.gnetizing solenoid, we used a current flowing through the m.crowire. We observed that the AC current flowing through the annealed Co-rich m.crowire leads to rem.gnetization by fast dom.in wall propagation. The estim.ted DW velocity was approxim.tely 4.5 km.s, which is sim.lar to and even higher than that reported for the m.gnetic-field-driven dom.in wall propagation in Fe- and Co-rich m.crowires. We m.asured the DW velocity under tensile stress, and found that the DW velocity decreases under applied stress. An observed DW propagation induced by the current flowing through the m.crowire is explained considering the influence of an Oersted m.gnetic field on the outer dom.in shell. This field has a circular easy m.gnetization direction and m.gnetostatic interaction between the outer circum.erentially m.gnetized shell and the inner axially m.gnetized core.

Russian section of GGOS： Network status and progress

Establishm.nt of the Russian section in the fram.work of Global Geodetic Observing System.（GGOS） is under progress. New com.onents of ＂Quasar＂ network observatories, which are included into GGOS global network as core stations, are presented. Recent developm.nts include： two new generation radio telescopes with 13 m.antennas at Badary and Zelenchukskaya observatories, water vapor radiom.ters installed at all observatories and software correlator at the Institute of Applied Astronom.. New and potential developm.nts within other networks belonging to different agencies are also considered in the context of widening of Russian section activity in GGOS project, The paper gives a short overview of status, new com.onents and plans, concerning 5 sub-networks of Federal Agency of Scientific Organi- zations, Roskosm.s, Rosstandard, and Rosreestr. Short overview of the plans on creating Data and Analysis Distributed Center is also ~iven.

Russian VLBI network "Quasar":Current status and outlook

This paper presents the past,present and future status of the Russian VLBI network "Quasar".This network has been developed for at least 20 years by the Institute of Applied Astronom. of the Russian Academ. of Sciences(IAA RAS). The equipm.nt installed currently at each "Quasar" station and the facilities for processing observational data are described briefly. The latest results are presented, including the Earth orientation param.ters(EOP) determ.ned from.the "Quasar" VLBI data and com.arison with those from.other processing centers. Our future plans to extend the "Quasar" VLB I network to the east and to the west will be carried out by establishing the Ussurijsk station in the Far East and the RussianCuban station in the west. They are considered in the context of the Russian section activity in the GGOS project. The expected im.rovem.nt of the EOP determ.nation accuracy can be obtained within the future configuration of the "Quasar" network,which is proved by sim.lation.
