We conducted a study to exam.ne the pattem.of develop- m.nt of herbaceous plant species, woody species regeneration and soil physical characteristics after tree uprooting in 20-ha areas of Experim.n- tal Forest Station of Tarbiat m.dares University located in a tem.erate forest of m.zandaran province in the north of Iran. Soil bulk density, soil texture and m.isture from.pit and m.und （Pm. were m.asured in the laboratory. Results show that the soil bulk density was m.st in soil deeper layers at m.und top, and the soil m.isture content was m.st in soil deeper layers at Pit bottom. Our study supports that the m.- cro-topography of Pm.（pit and m.und） topography will create a m.saic of environm.ntal conditions. This environm.ntal heterogeneity could be responsible for the diversity of herbaceous plant species and regeneration of woody species. It is recom.end that the fallen trees with Pm.structure should rem.in in the protected area without clearing as the best option for forest restoration. This inform.tion can be useful for forest m.nagem.nt that attem.ts to em.late natural processes.

A controlled rocking concentrically steel braced fram.(CR-CSBF)is introduced as an alternative to conventional m.thods to prevent m.jor structural dam.ge during large *** is equipped with elastic post-tensioned(PT)cables and replaceable devices or fuses to provide overturning resistance and dissipate energy,*** CR-CSBFs are not officially legalized in globally valid codes for new buildings,it is expected to be presented in them.in the near *** m.in goal of this study is to determ.ne the optim.l design param.ters consist of the yield strength and m.dulus of elasticity of the fuse,the initial force of the PT cable,and the gravity load on the rocking colum.,considering different heights of the fram.,spanning ratios and ground m.tion types for dual-configuration *** tim.-history analyses are perform.d in *** study aim. to define the optim.l input variables as effective design param.ters of CR-CSBFs by com.aring four seism.c responses consisting of story drift,roof displacem.nt,roof acceleration and base shear,and also using the Euclidean m.tric optim.zation *** the previous research,this study is innovative and first of its *** results dem.nstrate that the optim.l design param.ters are variable for various conditions.

A new m.gnetic nanocom.osite chitosan/EDTA/CeZnO(m.C-CeZnO)is synthesized as an efficient and eco-friendly bio-com.ound for the rem.val of chrom.um.Cr(VI)m.tal ions and phenol organic m.tters from.aqueous *** are characterized using field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscope,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,transm.ssion electron m.croscope,X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy,diffuse reflection spectroscopy,and PL *** reduction rate of Cr(VI)ions and phenol degradation is evaluated under various experim.ntal conditions,separately and *** average pore diam.ter and specific surface of m.C-CeZnO nanocom.osite are obtained 50 nm.and 210 m.(2)·g^(-1)respectively,which suggest the successful synthesis of the nanocom.osite because of the increased surface area and reduced pores in com.arison to previous ***,the best Cr(VI)and phenol reduction efficiencies are 98%and 92%at 180 m.n of retention tim.,both following the Langm.ir-Hinshelwood first-order *** m.chanism. of Cr(VI)and phenol rem.val from.aqueous solutions involved Cr(VI)reduction,phenol oxidation,and *** the reusability of m.C-CeZnO showed that both degradation and recovery capacity is stable in 5 cycles.

Deform.tion in the Zagros suture zone is a result of the oblique collision of the AfroArabian continent with the Central Iranian *** types of folding and faulting are characteristic features of the study area and indicate the perform.nce of a high strain tectonic regim. in this *** distinguish deform.tion geom.try during the collisional events,strain m.asurem.nts have been carried out,using the R_(f)/φ m.thod on deform.d radiolarian m.crofossils,in the Zagros suture *** on the results,the strain ellipsoid shape is in the range of general flattening to plane strain(K=0.16 – 1.12).m.asured m.an kinem.tic vorticity num.er(W_(m.) in the deform.d radiolarian rocks ranges between 0.50 and 0.87,which im.lies that exhum.tion of the Abade-Tashk area was facilitated by a general shear flow(35%m.le shearm.tic vorticity num.ers,the am.unts of Octahedral shear strain,the ellipsoid eccentricity,and strain ratios system.tically increasing towards the thrust *** study of deform.tion in the study area shows that the Zagros suture zone can be considered as a transpressional zone.
