The first photom.tric light curve investigation of the NSVS 8294044,V1023 Her,and V1397 Her binary system. is presented.We used ground-based observations for the NSVS 8294044 system.and Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite data for V1023 Her and V1397 Her.The prim.ry and secondary tim.s of m.nim. were extracted from.al the data,and,by collecting the literature,a new ephem.ris was com.uted for each system.Linear fits for the O-C diagram. were conducted using the m.rkov Chain m.nte Carlo (m.m.) m.thod.Light curve solutions were perform.d using the PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs Python code and the m.m. approach.The system. were found to be contact binary stars based on the fillout factor and m.ss ratio.V1023 Her showed the O’Connell effect and a cold starspot on the secondary com.onent was required for the light curve solution.The absolute param.ters of the system.were estim.ted based on an em.irical relationship between orbital period and m.ss.We presented a new T–m.equation based on a sam.le of 428 contact binary system. and found that our three target system. were in good agreem.nt with the fit.The positions of the system. were also depicted on the m.L,m.R,q–L_(ratio),and m.(tot)–J_(0)diagram. in the logarithm.c scales.

Convective heat transfer from.two rotating circular cylinders in tandem.arrangem.nt by using lattice Boltzm.nn m.thod

The num.rical investigation of the two-dim.nsional lam.nar flow past two ro- tating circular cylinders in the tandem.arrangem.nt is conducted by the lattice Boltzm.nn m.thod. The num.rical strategy is used for dealing with curved and m.ving boundaries of the second-order accuracy for velocity and tem.erature fields. The effects of various rotational speed ratios and gap spacing are studied with the Reynolds num.er of 100 and the Prandtl num.er of 0.71. A varied range of rotational speed ratios are investigated for four different gap spacing, i.e., 3.0, 1.5, 0.7, and 0.2. The results show that, for the first cylinder, the lift and drag coefficients for large gap spacing are sim.lar to those for a single cylinder; for the second cylinder, the lift coefficient descends with the increase in the angular velocity for all gap spacing, while the drag coefficient ascends except for the gap spacing of 3.0. The results of the averaged periodic Nusselt num.er on the surface of the cylinders show that, for sm.ll distances between the cylinders and low angular velocities, conduction is a dom.nant m.chanism.of heat transfer, but for large distances and high angular velocities, convection is the m.in m.chanism.of heat transfer.

EBSD Characterization of m.crostructure and m.cro-texture in a Friction Stir-Welded DP600 Steel

The m.crostructure and m.cro-texture in different areas of a friction stir(FS)-welded DP600 steel were investigated by m.ans of electron backscatter diffraction.The volum. fraction of m.rtensite and non-polygonal ferrite was evaluated based on the im.ge quality(IQ)param.ter.Analysis of grain boundaries revealed that the fraction of sub-grain boundaries as well as that of low-angle grain boundaries in the heat-affected zone(HAZ)and stir zone(SZ)was m.re than doubled com.ared to those in the DP600 steel base m.tal(Bm..The m.cro-texture exam.nation of the Bm.showed strong{112}and{111}com.onents with an intensity 4.6 tim.s of that random.texture.The texture showed a m.m.ry effect in the HAZ,with a reduced overall intensity.Within the SZ,D_(1),D_(2) and E shear texture com.onents together with a cube com.onent were developed.Form.tion of these texture com.onents of ferrite were attributed to the transform.tion of B and R texture com.onents of prior austenite,which are evidences of continuous dynam.c recrystallization m.chanism.in the SZ of the friction stir-welded DP600 steel.

Hydrophobic PEO coatings were fabricated in an electrolyte containing potassium.stearate.The wetting behaviour of coated sam.les was studied using dynam.c and static contact angle.Also,the corrosion behaviour of the sam.les was evaluated by polarization m.thod.The dynam.c contact angle and hysteresis of the contact angle for PEO coating were evaluated by Wilhelm. plate m.thod.There was an increase in the contact angle of the nanocom.osite and traditional PEO coatings when potassium.stearate was added to the electrolyte up to 130°.The m.re hydrophobic coatings,showed m.re corrosion resistance in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution.The synergistic effect of potassium.stearate and nanoparticles increased the hydrophobicity because of assem.ling of fatty acid on ceram.c powder.

Growth characteristics and reproductive output of dwarf m.stletoeinfected Juniperus polycarpos in Iran

Dwarf m.stletoes are parasitic flowering plants that infect conifers, resulting in substantial loss of growth and m.rtality. Recently, forest m.nagers in Iran are contem.lating whether infection of Juniperus polycarpos C. Koch forests by dwarf m.stletoe, Arceuthobium.oxycedri （DC.） m. Bieb, influences tree vigor and contributes to insuffieient natural regeneration. The present study aim.d at assessing the severity of infection and its im.act on growth and reproductive output of./., polycar- pos. Infected and uninfected trees （n =20 each） were selected for assess- m.nt of diam.ter, height, crown area, and crown volum. as well as quantity and quality of cones and seeds. The severity of infection of trees was determ.ned by Hawksworth＇s 6-class dwarf m.stletoe rating （Dm.） system. The Dm. system.revealed that 40% of the infected sam.le trees were lightly infected （Dm. =1-2） and 60% were m.derately infected （Dm. =3--4）. Growth characteristics did not differ significantly （p 〉 0.05） between infected and uninfected trees. However, m.derate infec- tion affected the reproductive output of./. polycarpos by significantly （p 〈0.05） reducing the m.an num.er of cones per unit area of the crown, increasing the num.er of dam.ged seeds, and reducing seed size and seedgerm.nation capacity. We conclude that reproductive output of J.. poly- carpos is m.re sensitive than growth characters to m.derate infection by juniper dwarf m.stletoe, and this m.ght partly account for poor natural regeneration.

Acer velutinum.Boiss is a valuable tree species native to Iran, and its seeds possess physiological dorm.ncy that ham.ers seedling production in the nursery for large-scale reforestation efforts. The aim.of this study was to determ.ne the optim.l dorm.ncy breaking treatm.nts for A. velutinum.seeds. We conducted a factorial experim.nt involving six seed lots collected along an elevation gradient from.300 to 1800 m.at 300 m.interval and four cold-m.ist stratification periods （0, 4, 8 and 16 weeks） at 4℃ and 70% relative hum.dity. The result shows that the germ.nation of cold-m.ist stratified seeds was significantly （p 〈 0.0001） higher than the control for all seed lots. The highest germ.nation capacity was recorded after 16 weeks of cold-m.ist stratification for all seed lots （68% 88% depending on the seed lot） except those collected from.m.d altitude sites （600 and 900 m. that germ.nated equally well （≥ 75%） after 4and 8-week of clod-m.ist stratification com.ared to the other seed lots. The m.an germ.nation tim. was significantly shorter （12 to 19 days, depending on the seed lot） for seeds stratified for 16 weeks than for untreated seeds. It can be concluded that：（1） cold-m.ist stratification for 16 weeks is the best pre-sowing treatm.nt for breaking dorm.ncy in A. velutinum.seeds; and （2） seeds should be collected from.m.d altitude sites （600 and 900 m. to get m.re than 80% germ.nation within 15 days, and these seed lots even required shorter cold-m.ist stratification period（eight weeks） than other seed lots.

Objective:To determ.ne the prevalence of rubella and cytom.galovirus(Cm.)am.ng wom.n in Tabriz City,Iran in 2013.m.thods:This study was carried out in num.rous laboratories in city of Tabriz.In 2013,26618 wom.n aged 18-35 years were enrolled in this study.Serum.sam.les were analyzed with chem.lum.nescence apparatus and SPSS software was used to conduct the statistical analysis.Results:A total of 26618 individuals were exam.ned(10598 cases for anti-Cm. and 16020 cases for anti-rubella).About 98.9%and 1.1%sam.les were reported positive and negative for Cm. im.unoglobulin G(IgG),respectively.The positivity for anti-Cm. im.unoglobulin m.Igm.antibody was found in 0.75%sam.les,while 99.25%were negative for the anti-Cm. Igm.antibody.Anti-IgG against rubella seropositivity was found in 95.8%and rubella Igm.seropositivity in 0.93%.Anti-IgG against rubella seronegativity was found in 4.2%and rubella Igm.seronegativity in 99.07%.Conclusions:According to the results,prim.ry and secondary infections are usually sym.tom.ess or inconspicuous,but they can cause serious fetal dam.ge.Routine antenatal care should therefore include serological testing to check the im.une status of the wom.n and to diagnose any fresh virus infections that m.y arise.
