In general,packaging m.terials which encapsulate light em.tting diodes(LEDs)and m.croelectronic devices of.er barrier protection against several environm.ntal hazards such as water and ionic ***,these encapsulants m.y provide pathways f.r water and ionic contam.nants to reach the m.tal/polym.r interf.ces and provoke local corrosion of.electronics,which is a m.jor reliability concern f.r polym.r encapsulated LEDs and *** the water and corrosive constituents play a crucial role in their reliability,water uptake kinetics,interf.cial ion transport and delam.nation behaviour of.silicone coated copper m.del system.m.m.cking a typical m.croelectronics packaging system.is explored in the present *** im.edance spectroscopy(EIS)integrated with attenuated total ref.ection f.urier transf.rm.inf.ared(ATR-f.IR)spectroscopy studies revealed that water dif.usion inside the silicone network is f.ckian in nature and the evolution of.the observed tim. constants are related to the dif.usion and interf.cial reactions.A decrease of.im.edance m.gnitude with tim. was observed in EIS m.asurem.nts concurrently with water absorption bands shif.ing towards lower wavenum.er in ATR-f.IR m.asurem.nts,im.lying the growth of.strong hydrogen bonding between water m.lecules and the silicone *** estim.ted dif.usion constant of.water using the capacitance m.thod was in the order of.7×10^(-12)m.(2)s^(-1)and the water absorption volum. f.action was in the range of.0%to 0.30%.Scanning Kelvin probe studies elucidated the ion transport process occurring at the silicone/copper interf.ce in a hum.d *** interf.cial ion transport process is controlled by the interf.cial electrochem.cal reactions at the cathodic delam.nation f.ont and the estim.ted average delam.nation rate is 0.43 m. h^(-1/2).This work dem.nstrates that exploring ion and water transport in the silicone coating and along the silicone/copper interf.ce is of.pivotal im.ortance as

Background： Toasting during the production of.rapeseed m.al（RSm. decreases ileal crude protein（CP） and am.no acid（AA） digestibility. The m.chanism. that determ.ne the decrease in digestibility have not been f.lly elucidated. A high protein quality, low-denatured, RSm.was produced and toasted up to 120 m.n, with sam.les taken every 20 m.n. The aim.of.this study was to characterize secondary structure and chem.cal changes of.proteins and glucosinolates occurring during toasting of.RSm.and the ef.ects on its in vitro CP ***： The decrease in protein solubility and the increase of.interm.lecular β-sheets with increasing toasting tim. were indications of.protein aggregation. The contents of.NDf.and ADIN increased with increasing toasting *** of.arginine, lysine and O-m.thylisourea reactive lysine（Om.U-RL） linearly decreased with increasing toasting tim., with a larger decrease of.Om.U-RL than lysine. f.rst-order reactions calculated f.om.the m.asured param.ters show that glucosinolates were degraded f.ster than lysine, Om.U-RL and arginine and that physical changes to proteins seem.to occur bef.re chem.cal changes during toasting. Despite the drastic physical and chem.cal changes noticed on the proteins, the coef.icient of.in vitro CP digestibility ranged f.om.0.776 to 0.750 and there were no ef.ects on the extent of.protein hydrolysis af.er 120 m.n. In contrast, the rate of.protein hydrolysis linearly decreased with increasing toasting tim., which was largely correlated to the decrease in protein solubility, lysine and Om.U-RL observed. Rate of.protein hydrolysis was m.re than 2-f.ld higher f.r the untoasted RSm.com.ared to the 120 m.n toasted ***： Increasing the toasting tim. f.r the production of.RSm.causes physical and chem.cal changes to the proteins that decrease the rate of.protein hydrolysis. The observed decrease in the rate of.protein hydrolysis could im.act protein digestion and utilization.

Abnorm.l subchondral bone rem.deling leading to sclerosis is a m.in f.ature of.osteoarthritis(OA), and osteom.dulin(Om.), a proteoglycan involved in extracellular m.trix m.neralization, is associated with the sclerotic phenotype. However, the f.nctions of.Om. rem.in poorly understood, specif.cally in vivo. We used Om. knockout and overexpressing m.le m.ce and m.tant zebraf.sh to study its roles in bone and cartilage m.tabolism.and in the developm.nt of.OA. The expression of.Om. is deeply correlated with bone and cartilage m.croarchitectures af.ecting the bone volum. and the onset of.subchondral bone sclerosis and spontaneous cartilage lesions. m.chanistically, Om. binds to RANKL and inhibits osteoclastogenesis, thus controlling the balance of.bone rem.deling. In conclusion, Om. is a key f.ctor in subchondral bone sclerosis associated with OA. It participates in bone and cartilage hom.ostasis by acting on the regulation of.osteoclastogenesis. Targeting Om. m.y be a prom.sing new and personalized approach f.r OA.

The soot em.ssion has been the f.cus of.m.ny studies due to applications in industry and the prejudicial ef.ects caused to the environm.nt. The presence of.soot is im.ortant to the heat transf.r in boilers and com.ustion cham.ers, contributing signif.cantly to ef.iciency increases. In controversy, the inhaled soot m.y cause respiratory system.dam.ge and even cancer. Another im.ortant point is the contribution to the greenhouse ef.ect. Theref.re, the aim.of.this work is to analyse the soot em.ssion in lam.nar dif.usion f.am.s produced f.om.com.ercial f.els stabilized on a burner representative of.industrial applications. m.thane, vehicular natural gas and liquid petroleum.gas are considered as f.els. An experim.ntal setup was constructed to im.lem.nt the technique of.laser light extinction and laser-induced incandescence. These non-intrusive techniques provide instant inf.rm.tion, in real tim., about soot volum. f.action. The m.asurem.nts were calibrated and validated using m.thods and results of.studies available in the literature, and also the uncertainty is analysed and suitably m.nim.zed. The results will contribute to the database f.r projects of.com.ustion system. optim.zation, aim.ng to increase the ef.iciency and soot em.ssions control.

The separation of.rare earth elem.nts using diatom.te m.5 f.om.aqueous solutions was *** experim.ntal isotherm. f.r the adsorption of.trivalent lanthanum.cerium.and neodym.um.cations on this adsorbent were quantif.ed under strongly acidic conditions(pH 2)at 298-328 *** adsorption equilibria of.these earth elem.nts were analyzed using two statistical physics m.dels(hom.geneous and heterogeneous m.nolayer m.dels).The results show that the adsorption of.these ions im.lies a m.ltiionic m.chanism.which is ***-containing f.nctional groups are responsible f.r the adsorption of.these rare-earth elem.nts on the diatom.te surf.ce.A heterogeneous statistical physics m.del conf.rm. that two Si-based f.nctional groups participate in the separation of.these *** calculated adsorption capacities at saturation f.llow the order:neodym.um.cerium.*** interaction energies range f.om.28600 to 40100 J/m.l,indicating physical adsorption on diatom.te *** study dem.nstrates that diatom.te m.5 is a prom.sing separation m.dium.that can be used f.r the recovery of.REEs dissolved in aqueous solutions via adsorption.

Introduction: The m.in indication f.r surgery of.thoracic wall def.rm.ties (TWD) is psychological due to cosm.tic com.laints. The assum.tion is that appearances have a negative ef.ect on?self.esteem.and quality of.lif.?(QoL). Correction should result in im.rovem.nt. m.thods: Prospective trial. QoL was assessed using the?CHQ and the WHOQOL-bref. m.asurem.nts were taken bef.re surgery (T1) and 6 weeks thereaf.er (T2). Results: f.rty-two patients were included.?WHOQOL-bref.showed dif.erences between pre-operative and?six weeks past surgery on f.cet body im.ge (p = 0.003).?Self.esteem.(CHQ) did not show a signif.cant im.rovem.nt at T2.?Concerning the scores on the single step questionnaire (SSQ),?33 patients were “very” to “extrem.ly satisf.ed” with appearance and increased self.esteem.(p m.in “pain and physical com.laints”, CHQ did show a signif.cant change (p m.re com.laints at T2. Conclusion: Six weeks af.er surgical correction of.a TWD satisf.ction with the “new” chest is good;pain seem. to be a problem.with possible negative inf.uence on self.esteem.
