Increasing dem.nds f.r ultrahigh-strength steels in com.ercial as well as m.litary applications have raised interest in f.nding alternatives to the high-cost high-alloyed steel and super-alloys currently used, e.g. the use of.econom.c low-alloy com.ositions processed via low-cost air induction m.lting and electroslag ref.ning (ESR). In this work the yield of.alloying elem.nts and the rem.val of.the im.urities nitrogen, sulphur and phosphorus as a result of.electroslag ref.ning (ESR) in a newly developed CrNim.Wm.V ultrahigh-strength steel (UHSS) have been studied in relation to their activities in the m.lten m.tal pool. Six experim.ntal heats of.CrNim.Wm.V UHSS with dif.erent chem.cal com.ositions were designed, m.lted in an induction f.rnace (If. and ref.ned using ESR. This was f.llowed by hot f.rging of.the ingots at 1100°C to 950°C. ESR using a Caf.-CaO-Al2O3 slag system.led to a high yield in Cr, Ni, m., W, m. and V, while the yield of.Si is low. The desulphurization of.all six UHSS grades was pronounced with m.st of.the sulphur rem.ved either to the slag or by gas reactions. The degree of.dephosphorization was only 5% irrespective of.the steel com.osition. On the other hand, denitrif.cation (rem.val of.nitrogen) was achieved. It ranged f.om.8% to 63% depending on the steel com.osition. The yield of.the alloying elem.nts and rem.val of.im.urities f.om.the steel during ESR depends on the chem.cal and physical properties of.the ESR slag and the activity of.the elem.nts in the m.lten state, taking into account elem.ntal interactions.

Developing a biom.terial f.r wound healing applications is still a ***,dysprosium.oxide(Dy_(2)O_(3)),alum.num.oxide(Al_(2)O_(3)),and graphene oxide(GO)were em.edded in cast f.lm. based on polycaprolactone(PCL)to be exam.ned f.r wound dressing *** techniques were used to characterize the f.bricated f.lm. including X-ray dif.raction(XRD),f.urier transf.rm.inf.ared spectroscopy(f.IR),Ram.n,and scanning electron m.croscopy(SEm.,besides their biological *** therm.gravim.tric analysis(TGA)exhibits high therm.l stability as the scaf.old weight decreases slightly to 98.6%af.er raising the tem.erature f.om.room.tem.erature to 280℃.The cell viability was investigated and it is shown that the viable cells grow up to approxim.tely 93%at 75μg/***,the cell attachm.nt shows excellent behavior as the cells attach on m.st of.the surf.ce of.the m.dif.ed PCL which shows high biocom.atibility.

Background: The treatm.nt of.brain m.tastases with radiotherapy has shif.ed to the use of.Stereotactic Radio-surgery (SRS). The technical issue of.expanding the treatm.nt volum. around the Gross Tum.r Volum. (GTV) is a current debate. Radiotherapy centers use variable GTV-PTV m.rgins, ranging f.om.one to 2 m.. m.terial and m.thods: We perf.rm.d a dosim.tric com.arison in plans of.twenty patients using three m.rgins: PTV zero, PTV1, and PTV2. We also developed im.ginary Peel volum.s. These volum.s are described as f.llows: Peel1 = PTV1 − GTV, Peel2 = PTV2 − GTV. Results: Our results showed that the m.an PTV volum. dif.ered signif.cantly across the dif.erent m.rgins (p = 0.000). The V12 of.the brain signif.cantly varied as a f.nction of.PTV m.rgin (p = 0.000). The target coverage and plan quality indices were not signif.cantly dif.erent. The Peel volum. dosim.tric analysis showed that the m.an dose was signif.cantly higher in the nearby norm.l brain tissue: Peel1 (p = 0.022) and Peel 2 (p = 0.013). Conclusion: According to our dosim.tric analysis, expanding the GTV into a PTV by 1 m. m.rgin is m.re convenient than 2 m..

A f.eld experim.nt was carried out at Ism.ilia Research Station, Ism.ilia Governorate f.om.2020-2022 to im.rove the growth of.Khaya senegalensis and Swietenia m.hagoni by using a com.ination of.m.neral f.rtilizer (NPK) and biological f.rtilizer (Azotobacter chroococcum. Bacillus m.gatherium. and Bacillus circulant) as recom.ended dose under new sandy soils conditions. Split plot designed with f.ur treatm.nts (Control, (50% m.neral f.rtilizer (m.) + 50% Biological f.rtilizer (Bio.)), 100% m. and 100% Bio.) of.each species. Vegetative growth, leaf.area, tree biom.ss, stored carbon, basal area, tree volum., and in the soil both of.m.crobial account and m.neral content were determ.ned. The experim.ntal results showed no signif.cant dif.erences between studied species am.ng the m.st studied param.ters except f.r Khaya senegalensis which gave the highest signif.cant dif.erence in root biom.ss and below-stored carbon than Swietenia m.hagoni. Evidently, the highest signif.cant growth param.ters were 100% m.neral f.rtilizer f.llowed by (50% m. + 50% Bio.) as com.ared with control. No signif.cant dif.erence between 100% m. and (50% m. + 50% Bio.) of.shoot dry biom.ss (15.19 and 12.02 kg, respectively) and above-stored carbon (0.28 and 0.22 m., respectively). m.crobial account and m.neral content in soil were im.roved af.er cultivation of.tree species com.ared to bef.re planting and control, especially with 50% m.neral f.rtilizer and 50% bio-f.rtilizer treatm.nt. In conclusion, a treatm.nt containing 50% m.neral f.rtilizer and 50% bio-f.rtilizer has led to the ideal Khaya senegalensis and Swietenia m.hagoni growth in sandy soil f.r cheaper and sustainable.

Phlogopite solid-solutions have a wide pressure-tem.erature(P-T)stability f.eld and are ubiquitous in a wide variety of.geological settings,f.om.deep lithosphere m.gm.tic environm.nts to upper crust m.tam.rphic *** com.osition represents theref.re a valuable physical-chem.cal archive and m.y provide im.ortant inf.rm.tion regarding its crystallization and the petrogenesis of.the *** this paper we exam.ne the phlogopite phenocrysts f.om.the well-known f.rt Regent m.ca-bearing lam.rophyre m.nette f.om.***(Island of.Jersey,UK).Phlogopite phenocrystals f.om.lam.rophyres generally show norm.l-step and continuous com.ositional zoning,however those f.om.the f.rt Regent m.nette show a peculiar texture characterized by dark brown high-Ti(average TiO_(2)≈8.5 wt.%)cores enveloped by euhedral low-to m.d-am.litude zonation due to oscillatory contents in Ti,f. and ***-barom.try m.delling based on biotite-only com.osition yields relatively high P-T estim.tes(T≈970±54℃at P≈0.73±0.13 GPa)f.r cores whereas lower values(T≈790±54℃at P≈0.29±0.13 GPa)are obtained f.r the outer *** tem.eratures(T≈1075±54℃)but extrem.ly high and anom.lous pressure values(P≈1.82±0.13 GPa)are obtained f.r the yellowish inner *** com.ination of.electron m.cro probe(Em.)analysis and single-crystal inf.a-red(f.IR)im.ging in the OH-stretching region shows that the exceptional and oscillatory Ti contents are due to the Ti-vacancy substitution,typical of.crystallization and growth processes of.HP/HT *** im.ging provides additional insight f.r this process,conf.rm.ng the dom.nant dioctahedral nature f.r the Ti-f.-rich cores and outer *** of.therm.baric estim.tes obtained f.om.the phlogopite com.ositiononly m.del,based on the f.ne-scale com.ositional evolution,shows that pressure-tem.erature values f.om.low-Ti high-m. dom.ins should be caref.lly evaluated because the substitution m.chanism. during the dark m.ca growth are not univocal
