Introduction :The psoriasis is one of the inflam.atory derm.toses with unknown etiology, with chronic evolution having episodic appearance and disappearance. Its prevalence in HIV patients varied from.2% to 5% in m.st of the tim.s. Objective of this study was to describe the dem.graphic, clinical and therapeutic characteristics of psoriasis patients infected with HIV. m.thods: It is a descriptive retrospective study done from.January 2003 to Decem.er 2013 based on the inform.tion from.the hospital card of hospitalized patients and outpatients taken care in the departm.nt of Derm.tology-STD for psoriasis at the University hospital center in Donka Conakry. We included all the cases of psoriasis associated with HIV infection diagnosed from.clinical and paraclinical elem.nts. Results: We recorded 23 (24.73%) cases of psoriasis associated with HIV infection am.ng 93 patients observed for psoriasis in which there are 4 cases of psoriasis vulgaris, 10 cases of erythroderm.c psoriasis and 9 cases of arthropathic form.am.ng these num.ers. We had 7 wom.n and 16 m.n. The m.dium.age of our patients was 44.5 ± 12 years [27 - 62 years]. The delayed duration tim. of consultation varied from.30 to m.re than 180 days. The psoriasis was the circum.tance of the discovery of the HIV infection am.ng 55% of cases. The pruritus was the functional sign which is the m.st frequent in 20 cases am.ng 23 cases and 71.4% of cases were accom.anied with pain. Fam.ly history was found in 7.10% of cases. Anxiety was the dom.nant factor cause in 42% and the infection 38%. The cutaneous alteration was noted in all patients;92.9% of patients had nails alteration and intertrigineous association in 78.6% of cases. The clinical form. found were psoriasis vulgaris 4/23 cases, arthropathic psoriasis 9/23 cases, erythroderm.c psoriasis 10/23. m.re than half (13/23) cases of our patients were diagnosed stage III of the classification of WHO. Acroderm.titis enteropathica is a rare autosom.l recessive genetic disorder characterised by periorificial derm.titis, alopecia and diarrhoea. It is caused by a m.tation in the gene that codes for a m.m.rane protein that binds zinc. We report a case in a 7-m.nth-old girl, adm.tted with altered general condition and scaly, pustular erythem.tous lesions, initially located in the occipital and cervical regions, and secondarily inguinal and on the knees. m.nagem.nt and outcom. in this patient? Genetic assay was not available to confirm.this rare genetic disease. A delay in establishing the diagnosis and a disastrous outcom. did not save the patient despite the adm.nistration of zinc.

Introduction: Work environm.nts create the basis for arduous nursing work. This is what led us to research the factors of arduousness in the exercise of the health profession in North Benin, through this study. m.thods: This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study which focused on health professionals in the health zones of Parakou-N’dali and Tchaourou. The sam.ling was an exhaustive census. All health workers who had given their free and inform.d consent were included. The data was collected using a questionnaire. The variables studied were the factors of arduous work and socio-professional characteristics. The data collected was processed and analyzed with the Epi info 7.***.0.1 software. Results: A total of 692 were surveyed, the participation rate was 85.11% and the sex ratio (m.F) equal to 0.7. The average age was 38 years old. Nurses m.de up 32.66% of the sam.le. They were 86.42% subject to night work and 82.66% to alternating work. Overall, 70.23% worked m.re than 40 hours per week. Between 78.12% and 96.46% of non-specialist doctors, nurses, m.dwives and biom.dical analysis technicians were required to work night shifts. Nurses, m.dwives, radiology and laboratory technicians were between 89.53% and 97.35%, organized in alternating work. In the sam.le, 55.20% com.lained about the insufficient num.er of work m.terials, 26.29% handled harm.ul chem.cal substances. Am.ng those surveyed, 58.14% had been attacked. Conclusion: All professional categories of caregivers are subject to arduous work. m.asures are needed to reverse the situation.

Introduction: Living and working conditions are increasingly conducive to a sedentary lifestyle. m.ny adm.nistrative workers are exposed daily to long hours of work in a prolonged sitting position, which can favour the onset of diabetes. The aim.of the study was to determ.ne the prevalence and factors associated with diabetes am.ng workers at a town hall in Benin in 2019. m.thods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted from.Decem.er 2018 to January 2019. Exhaustive recruitm.nt was carried out. Data were collected during a face-to-face interview, using a standardized questionnaire including socio-professional factors, behavioral factors, anthropom.tric m.asurem.nts, and blood glucose. Frequencies were calculated. Frequencies were com.ared using the chi-square and Fisher tests. The significance threshold was 5%. Results: A total of 85 workers were included. Their m.an age was 41.55 ± 9.82 years, with a sex ratio of 6.1. = The prevalence of diabetes was estim.ted at 8.2% [95% CI: 3.38 - 16.23%] and 3 of the workers knew they had diabetes. A fam.ly history of diabetes was associated with diabetes (p = 0.032). Occupationally, 10.77% of perm.nent em.loyees had diabetes, com.ared with 0.0% of non-perm.nent em.loyees;12.50% of em.loyees with at least 10 years’ seniority had diabetes, com.ared with 7.25% of those with less seniority;19.05% of em.loyees who spent at least 6 hours a day sitting at work had diabetes, com.ared with 4.69% of those who spent less tim. sitting. Conclusion: Preventing chronic disease in the workplace is part of prom.ting workers’ health, and m.st take into account occupational factors such as prolonged sitting.

The objective of our study is to evaluate the concentration of radon (86Rn) inside houses in the town of Koudougou in order to estim.te its im.act on the health of the population. Indeed, when uranium.rich m.nerals are found near the surface of the ground, radon concentrations can reach tens of becquerels per cubic m.ter in enclosed spaces. Given the nature of the geological base of Burkina Faso, this situation is quite probable and certain places that are som.tim.s poorly ventilated (house, school, office, etc.) can have radon levels high enough to constitute a health problem.for occupants. Thus, twenty-four (24) sam.le houses were identified. In each house, the Corentium.digital detector was between 0.8 m.and 2 m.for at least one week in a place where the occupants estim.te that they spend m.re tim. of tim. and m.asure the concentration of radon in the long term.and short term. The recorded data allowed us to determ.ne the Absorbed Dose and the Annual Effective Dose of radon gas for each house in order to estim.te the Risk of Cancer and the probable Num.er of Cases of Lung Cancer per m.llion inhabitants. Thus, the results indicate that the long-term.radon concentration varies between 6 Bq/m.sup>3 and 285 Bq/m.sup>3 respectively in houses 11 and 4 com.ared to 1 Bq/m.sup>3 to 208 Bq/m.sup>3 in the short term.in the sam. houses. Also, in the long term. in control houses 1, 3 and 4, the radon level is above the recom.ended threshold interval. For the short term. these are houses 1, 3, 4 and 17 respectively with 110 Bq/m.sup>3, 142 Bq/m.sup>3, 208 Bq/m.sup>3 and 105 Bq/m.sup>3. As for the long-term.and short-term.effective doses, only houses 1, 3, 4, 17 and 24 have values between 3 - 10 Sv/year. The estim.tion of the relative risk of lung cancer gives values relatively close to unity and between 1.006 and 1.142 with an average of 1.035 and that of the Num.er of Lung Cancer Cases per m.llion inhabitants gives values between 8 and 166 with an average of 42. Patterns of Prim.ry Focal Segm.ntal Glom.rulosclerosis (FSGS) in Adults Treated in a Dakar Single Center: About 58 Cases

Introduction: The evolution of prim.ry FSGS is often m.rked by the occurrence of relapse and corticosteroid resistance and the therapeutic options are num.rous and have lim.ted effectiveness. The objective of our study was to assess our practice in this lesion. Patients and m.thods: We carried out a retrospective study of patients treated for prim.ry FSGS the period January 1, 2010 to Septem.er 30, 2018. The clinical pathological, therapeutic and evolutive characteristics were studied. Results: Fifty-eight patients were included in the study. The average age was 30.74 ± 11.35 years and the sex ratio (m.F) was 2.41. Edem. was found in 86.2% and hypertension in 37.9%. The average creatinine was 20.17 ± 16.06 m./l and the average GFR according to m.RD was 82.43 ± 69.06 m./m.n/1.73 m.. The average album.n level was 15.11 ± 5.78 g/l and the 24-hour proteinuria was 7.8 ± 3.79 g/24 h. Nephrotic syndrom. was the m.in indication for renal biopsy in 84.48% and the classic form.of FSGS was found in 90.9%. The average initial corticosteroid dose was 62.68 ± 10.04 m./d and the average duration of regression was 11.78 ± 7.40 m.nths. Forty-five patients (77.6%) were corticosensitive (27.6% com.lete rem.ssion and 50% partial rem.ssion). Corticosteroid resistance was observed in 19% and corticosteroid dependence in 11.1%. The proportion of relapse was 33.3% within an average of 15.4 ± 9.1 m.nths. Cyclosporine was no longer prescribed as a second-line treatm.nt in 8 patients. Infectious com.lications were m.re found in 19%. Two patients had progressed to ESRD and we noted 2 death cases. The m.le gender was correlated with the occurrence of a relapse. However, the im.act of certain factors such as hypertension, proteinuria, hem.turia and GFR level has not been dem.nstrated. Conclusion: The evolution of prim.ry FSGS is unpredictable, often m.rked by relapses, hence the interest in identifying factors associated with therapeutic responses for better m.nagem.nt.

Aim. To evaluate the attitude practice and knowledge of pharm.cists in the m.nagem.nt of diabetes in the departm.nt of Dakar. m.thodology: Cross-sectional study, conducted from.01 m.rch to 30 Septem.er 2017 including all pharm.cists in the Dakar region who agreed to participate in the survey. Data was collected through a pre-established questionnaire. Results: A total of 144 pharm.cists were included in the study, representing a participation rate of 87.58%. The average age was 33.90 years, with a sex ratio of 1.69. Pharm.cists were single in 50.88% of cases, and a m.nim.m.experience of 5 years was found in 64.03% of cases. Pharm.cist assistants accounted for 57.9% of our study population. The assessm.nt of knowledge based on 16 item. shows an average score of 9.02. The level of knowledge was low to insufficient in 37.21% of cases, average in (50%) half of cases and good for (13.16%). Less than half (34.21%) of pharm.cists had received training and the average date of last training was 33.76 ± 24.6 m.nths. Training was provided by m.dical representatives and academ.cs in 66.66% and 26.67% respectively. The m.st felt positive feelings were respectively the need for help, the com.assion in respectively 98.42%, 42.11%. Feelings felt and sim.ltaneously cited were: need for help and com.assion in m.re than 40% of respondents. Only 29% of pharm.cists did not have a lot of difficulty with patient questions and the only reason was the lack of awareness (84.68%) of patients about their disease. Screening for diabetes by capillary blood glucose was perform.d by 57% of pharm.cists. Dietary advice (76.15%) and referral to the hospital (94.41%) were the m.st com.on practices in case of blood sugar disruption. The dialogue with patients was im.ossible in 22.81% of pharm.cists and the m.in reasons given were lack of tim. (53.85%) and lack of knowledge (34.62%). Giant cerebriform.nevus cell nevus of the scalp is an extrem.ly rare form.of congenital m.lanocytic nevus. Giant cerebriform.nevus of the scalp has a m.jor psychosocial im.act because of its unsightly appearance with fetid m.ceration. We report the case of a 35-year-old wom.n who had a painless, m.lodorous swelling of the cerebriform.scalp m.asuring 20 × 17 cm.in diam.ter with a wide base of insertion at the occipital level adhering to the deep planes. The excision associated with a skin plasty was carried out. Histology concluded that there was a giant cerebriform.naevo-cellular nevus of the scalp.

Cervical m.ningoceles are the least com.on form. of spina bifida, representing between 4% to 8% of all spinal dysraphism.. They are not accom.anied by neurological deficit in childhood but attached cord syndrom. can occur with growth. Surgical treatm.nt, in addition to avoiding rupture and correcting the aesthetic dam.ge, will preserve neurological functions. We report 2 cases that we took care of. They are a 5-m.nth-old infant and a 3-year-old girl. The first presented a 7 cm.rounded m.ningocele pedunculated through the C1 lam.na defect. The second presented an 8.6 cm.polylobed m.ningocele pedunculated through the C2 lam.na defect. They both underwent surgery with good progress.
