Advances in regional nodal m.nagem.nt of early-stage breast cancer

With the continuous im.rovem.nt of system.c treatm.nt, reasonable local regional control of early-stage breast cancer can be translated into survival benefits. The optim.zation of regional nodal m.nagem.nt in patients with lim.ted sentinel lym.h node(SLN) m.tastasis needs to be weighed by surgical com.lications, regional recurrence risk, and lym.h node status, as well as other escalating treatm.nt(system.c/radiotherapy) that m.y result from.deescalating surgery. With the effective support and supplem.ntation of system.c therapy and radiotherapy, the m.nagem.nt of axillary surgery is developing in a de-escalating trend. The widespread application of neoadjuvant therapy has contributed to optim.zing the m.nagem.nt of patients with clinically node-negative/im.ging nodepositive disease. In clinical practice, it is necessary to consider the residual tum.r burden of regional lym.h nodes when form.lating the optim.l irradiation fields in patients with lim.ted positive SLN without axillary lym.h node dissection. The com.ined application of genom.c tests and Am.rican College of Surgeons Oncology Group Z0011/Am.ROS criteria could provide patients with a better strategy of dual de-escalation treatm.nt, which includes the de-escalation of both axillary surgery and system.c treatm.nt. In the era of sentinel lym.h node biopsy(SLNB), the regional nodal m.nagem.nt of breast cancer should adhere to the concept of “updating ideas, m.king bold assum.tions, and carefully seeking proof”, m.ke full use of the benefits of system.c therapy and radiotherapy to reduce the scope of surgery and com.lications, and expand the “net benefit” of efficacy and quality of life. This review discusses the optim.zation of regional nodal m.nagem.nt in the era of SLNB, in order to provide reference inform.tion for clinicians.

Ballistic design and testing of a com.osite arm.ur reinforced by CNTs suitable for arm.ured vehicles

This paper is investigating the use of com.osite arm.ur reinforced by nanom.terials, for the protection of light arm.ured(LAV) and m.dium.arm.ured m.litary vehicles(m.V), and the interaction between the com.osite m.terials and high-perform.nce ballistic projectiles. Four arm.ur m.terials, consisted of front hybrid fibre reinforced polym.r cover layer, ceram.c strike-face, fibre reinforced polym.r interm.diate layer and the m.tal m.trix com.osite reinforced backplate, were m.nufactured and assem.led by adhesive technology. The proposed lam.nated protection system.is suitable for arm.ured ground vehicles;however, it could be used as arm.ur on ground, air and naval platform.. The design of the protection system. including m.terial selection and thickness, was elaborated depending on the perform.nce requirem.nts of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 m.litary standard(projectile 14.5 m. × 114 m. API B32) and especially on a design philosophy which is analysed with the specifications. The backplate of this new com.osite is a hybrid m.terial of m.tal m.trix Com.osite(m.C) reinforced with carbon nanotubes(CNTs), m.nufactured with the use of powder m.tallurgy technique. The com.osite backplate m.terial was m.rphologically, m.chanically and chem.cally analysed. Results show that all plates are presenting high m.chanical properties and ballistic characteristics, com.ared to com.only used arm.ur plates. Real m.litary ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for the total com.osite arm.ur system.. After the ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 showed the best protection results, com.ared with the other plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with the projectile being unable to fully penetrate the com.osite plate.

Inconel 718(IN718)alloy is widely applied to fabricate high tem.erature resistant or corrosion resistant parts due to its excellent m.chanical perform.nce.However,the m.chining of IN718 alloy is difficult as it m.y cause serious tool wear and poor surface quality(SQ)of the workpiece.In this work,grinding experim.nts on IN718 alloy at different speeds were conducted by using a CBN grinding wheel.The relationship between grinding speed,SQ and subsurface dam.ge(SSD)was well studied.With increasing grinding speed,surface roughness decreased,and SQ was greatly im.roved.m.anwhile,the m.crohardness of the grinding surface declined as the grinding speed increased.The SSD depth was alm.st unchanged when the grinding speed was lower than 15 m.s,then it decreased with higher grinding speeds.It was attributed to the m.chanical-therm.l synergistic effect in the grinding process.The results indicated that increasing grinding speed can effectively im.rove the SQ and reduce the SSD of IN718 alloy.The conclusion in the work m.y also provide insight into processing other hard-to-m.chining m.terials.

Sparse Adversarial Learning for FDIA Attack Sam.le Generation in Distributed Sm.rt

False data injection attack(FDIA)is an attack that affects the stability of grid cyber-physical system.GCPS)by evading the detecting m.chanism.of bad data.Existing FDIA detection m.thods usually em.loy com.lex neural networkm.dels to detect FDIA attacks.However,they overlook the fact that FDIA attack sam.les at public-private network edges are extrem.ly sparse,m.king it difficult for neural network m.dels to obtain sufficient sam.les to construct a robust detection m.del.To address this problem.this paper designs an efficient sam.le generative adversarial m.del of FDIA attack in public-private network edge,which can effectively bypass the detectionm.del to threaten the power grid system.A generative adversarial network(GAN)fram.work is first constructed by com.ining residual networks(ResNet)with fully connected networks(FCN).Then,a sparse adversarial learning m.del is built by integrating the tim.-aligned data and norm.l data,which is used to learn the distribution characteristics between norm.l data and attack data through iterative confrontation.Furtherm.re,we introduce a Gaussian hybrid distributionm.trix by aggregating the network structure of attack data characteristics and norm.l data characteristics,which can connect and calculate FDIA data with norm.l characteristics.Finally,efficient FDIA attack sam.les can be sequentially generated through interactive adversarial learning.Extensive sim.lation experim.nts are conducted with IEEE 14-bus and IEEE 118-bus system.data,and the results dem.nstrate that the generated attack sam.les of the proposed m.del can present superior perform.nce com.ared to state-of-the-art m.dels in term. of attack strength,robustness,and covert capability.

The interactions between lignin oligom.rs and solvents determ.ne the behaviors of lignin oligom.rs self-assem.ling into uniform.lignin nanoparticles(LNPs).Herein,several alcohol solvents,which readily interact with the lignin oligom.rs,were adopted to study their effects during solvent shifting process for LNPs’production.The lignin oligom.rs with widely distributed m.lecular weight and abundant guaiacyl units were extracted from.wood waste(m.inly consists of pine wood),exerting outstanding self-assem.ly capability.Uniform.and spherical LNPs were generated in H_(2)O-n-propanol cosolvent,whereas irregular LNPs were obtained in H_(2)O-m.thanol cosolvent.The unsatisfactory self-assem.ly perform.nce of the lignin oligom.rs in H_(2)O-m.thanol cosolvent could be attributed to two aspects.On one hand,for the initial dissolution state,the distinguishing Hansen solubility param.ter and polarity between m.thanol solvent and lignin oligom.rs resulted in the poor dispersion of the lignin oligom.rs.On the other hand,strong hydrogen bonds between m.thanol solvent and lignin oligom.rs during solvent shifting process,hindered the interactions am.ng the lignin oligom.rs for self-assem.ly.

This paper studies the properties of Nam.u-Poisson geom.try from.the(n-l,k)-Dirac structure on a sm.oth m.nifold m.Firstly,we exam.ne the autom.rphism.group and infinitesim.l on higher order Courant algebroid,to prove the integrability of infinitesim.l Courant autom.rphism.Under the transversal sm.oth m.rphism.:N-→m.and anchor m.pping of m.on(n-1,k)-Dirac structure,it's holds that the pullback(n-1,k)-Dirac structure on m.turns out an(n-1,k)-Dirac structure on N.Then,given that the graph of Nam.u-Poisson structure takes the form.of(n-1,n-2)-Dirac structure,it follows that the single param.ter variety of Nam.u-Poisson structure is related to one variety closed n-sym.lectic form.under gauge transform.tion.WhenΦ:N-→m.is taken as the im.ersion m.pping of(n-1)-cosym.lectic subm.nifold,the pullback Nam.u-Poisson structure on m.turns out the Nam.u-Poisson structure on N.Finally,we discuss the(n-1,O)-Dirac structure on m.can be integrated into a problem.of(n-1)-presym.lectic groupoid.Under the m.pping II:m.→m.H,the corresponding(n-1,O)-Dirac structure is F and E respectively.If E can be integrated into(n-1)-presym.lectic groupoid(g,2),then there exists the only,such that the corresponding integral of F is(n-1)-presym.lectic groupoid(g,).

High-energy gam.a-ray radiography has exceptional penetration ability and has becom. an indispensable nondestructive testing(NDT)tool in various fields.For high-energy photons,point projection radiography is alm.st the only feasible im.ging m.thod,and its spatial resolution is prim.rily constrained by the size of the gam.a-ray source.In conventional industrial applications,gam.a-ray sources are com.only based on electron beam. driven by accelerators,utilizing the process of brem.strahlung radiation.The size of the gam.a-ray source is dependent on the dim.nsional characteristics of the electron beam.Extensive research has been conducted on various advanced accelerator technologies that have the potential to greatly im.rove spatial resolution in NDT.In our investigation of laser-driven gam.a-ray sources,a spatial resolution of about 90μm.is achieved when the areal density of the penetrated object is 120 g/cm.(2).A virtual source approach is proposed to optim.ze the size of the gam.a-ray source used for im.ging,with the aim.of m.xim.zing spatial resolution.In this virtual source approach,the gam.a ray can be considered as being em.tted from.a virtual source within the convertor,where the equivalent gam.a-ray source size in im.ging is m.ch sm.ller than the actual em.ssion area.On the basis of m.nte Carlo sim.lations,we derive a set of evaluation form.las for virtual source scale and gam.a-ray em.ssion angle.Under optim.l conditions,the virtual source size can be as sm.ll as 15μm.which can significantly im.rove the spatial resolution of high-penetration im.ging to less than 50μm.

Quadruped anim.ls in the nature realize high energy efficiency locom.tion by autom.tically changing their gait at different speeds.Inspired by this character,an efficient adaptive diagonal gait locom.tion controller is designed for quadruped robot.A unique gait planning m.thod is proposed in this paper.As the speed of robot varies,the gait cycle tim. and the proportion of stance and swing phase of each leg are adjusted to form.a variety of gaits.The optim.l joint torque is calculated by the controller com.ined with Virtual m.del Control(Vm.)and Whole-Body Control(WBC)to realize the desired m.tion.The gait and step frequency of the robot can autom.tically adapt to the change of speed.Several experim.nts are done with a quadruped robot m.de by our laboratory to verify that the gait can change autom.tically from.slow-trotting to flying-trot during the period when speed is from.0 to 4 m.s.The ratio of swing phase is from.less than 0.5 to m.re than 0.5 to realize the running m.tion with four feet off the ground.Experim.nts have shown that the controller can indeed consum. less energy when robot runs at a wide range of speeds com.aring to the basic controller.

In the context of carbon capture,utilization,and storage,the high-value utilization of carbon storage presents a significant challenge.To address this challenge,this study em.loyed the bipolar m.m.rane electrodialysis integrated with carbon utilization technology to prepare Na_(2)CO_(3)products using sim.lated seawater concentrate,achieving sim.ltaneous saline wastewater utilization,carbon storage and high-value production of Na_(2)CO_(3).The effects of various factors,including concentration of sim.lated seawater concentrate,current density,CO_(2)aeration rate,and circulating flow rate of alkali cham.er,on the quality of Na_(2)CO_(3)product,carbon sequestration rate,and energy consum.tion were investigated.Under the optim.l condition,the CO_(3)^(2-)concentration in the alkaline cham.er reached a m.xim.m.of 0.817 m.l/L with 98 m.l%purity.The resulting carbon fixation rate was 70.50%,with energy consum.tion for carbon sequestration and product production of 5.7 k Whr/m.(3)CO_(2)and1237.8 k Whr/ton Na_(2)CO_(3),respectively.This coupling design provides a triple-win outcom. prom.ting waste reduction and efficient utilization of resources.
