Synthesis and Structural Investigations of New 4-Hexyl-1-(4-nitrophenyl)-1-H-1,2,3-triazole:An Experim.ntal and Theoretical Insight

The title com.ound, 4-hexyl-1-（4-nitrophenyl）-1-H-1,2,3-triazole （CI4HIsN402）, was synthesized using one-pot strategy via click reaction and the structure was characterized m.inly by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, Nm., FT-IR and m.. C14H18N4O2 was crystallized from.an EtOH/EtOAc solution in triclinic system. space group PI, with a = 5.3679（3）, b = 7.5499（5）, c = 17.5534（11） A, a = 92.360（4）, β = 90.359（4）, γ = 98.864（4）°, V （A3） = 702.24（8）, Z = 2, crystal size （m.） = 0.42 × 0.26 × 0.18, Rint = 0.096. Packing diagram.indicates that there is dim.ric interaction between two units via N（3）...H（6）. The crystal structure of the title com.ound （1） is stabifized by interm.lecular interactions. In addition, X-ray analys!s also reveals C-H…π and π-π interactions in the m.lecule. Theoretical investigations were perform.d by using Gaussian 09 software at the B3LYP/6, 31G （d,p）level of density,finctional theory （DFT）.to com.are the theoretical results with the experim.ntal and to probe structural properties. The m.lecular electrostatic potential （m.P） m.pped over the entire stabilized geom.try of the m.lecule indicated their chem.cal reactivities. Furtherm.re, frontier m.lecular orbital （electronic properties） was com.uted at the sam. level of DFT as used. forenergy m.nim. structure.

Production of hydrogen(H2) and oxygen(O2) through electrocatalytic water splitting is one of the sustainable,green and pivotal ways to accom.lish the ever-increasing dem.nds for renewable energy sources,but rem.ins a big challenge because of the uphill reaction during overall water ***,we develop high-perform.nce non-noble m.tal electrocatalysts for pH-universal water splitting,based on nickel/vanadium.boride(NiVB) nanoparticles/reduced graphene oxide(rGO) hybrid(NiVB/rGO)through a facile chem.cal reduction approach under am.ient *** virtue of m.re exposure to surface active sites,superior electron transfer capability and strong electronic coupling,the asprepared NiVB/rGO heterostructure needs pretty low overpotentials of 267 and 151 m. to deliver a current density of 10 m. cm.(-2) for oxygen evolution reaction(OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)respectively,with the corresponding Tafel slope of 44 and 88 m. dec^(-1) in 1.0 m.***,the NiVB/rGO electrocatalysts display a prom.sing perform.nce in a wide-pH conditions that require low overpotential of 310,353 and 489 m. to drive a current density of 10 m. cm.(-2) for OER under 0.5 m.KOH,0.05 m.H2SO4 and 1.0 m.phosphate buffer solution(PBS) respectively,confirm.ng the excellent electrocata lytic perform.nce am.ng state-of-the-art Ni-based electrocatalysts for overall water ***,the interfacial tuning based on incorporation of active heterostructure m.y pave a new route to develop bifunctional,cost-effective and efficient electrocatalyst system. for water splitting and H2 production.

Background:Although intrinsic risk factors contributing to esophageal food im.action are well established,whether social behavior affects its occurrence has not yet been ***:We conducted a retrospective review of the gastroenterology endoscopy procedural docum.ntation software for the period of 2001–2012 to identify all patients who presented to our em.rgency departm.nt for esophageal foreign-body rem.val at the tim. of national athletic events and holidays associated with dietary ***:We found that adults undergoing em.rgent esophagogastroduodenoscopy during periods celebrating cultural holidays and national athletic events were m.re likely to experience esophageal food im.action com.ared with those undergoing em.rgent endoscopy during periods not associated with these events(36.8% vs 3.6%;Pm.st com.on im.acted food item.was turkey(50%)followed by chicken(29%)and beef(21%).Conclusions:Esophageal food im.action is m.re likely to occur on Am.rican holidays and national athletic events and is associated with large *** with intrinsic risk factors should be advised to m.dify their diet during cultural events associated with tachyphagia and large m.als to prevent esophageal food im.action.

Sem.-intensive free-range farm.system. are com.on in Australia, and these system. frequently practise on-range feeding. The objective of this study was to investigate the benefit of on-range choice feeding on flock perform.nce, egg quality, and range use of free-range laying hens using black soldier fly larvae(Herm.tia illucens, BSF). A total of 160 m.ture ISA brown laying hens, previously determ.ned to range daily, were allocated to a control group(control) or a treatm.nt group(BSF) with various replicates depending on the param.ter investigated. All hens were fed ad libitum.indoors with a wheat-soy based diet form.lated according to breed requirem.nts. Black soldier fly hens were offered dried BSF larvae ad libitum.on the range. Body weight, feed intake, BSF intake, egg production, feed conversion ratio, internal and external egg quality param.ters, and individual range use using radio-frequency identification(RFID)technology was evaluated. Black soldier fly hens consum.d on average 15 ± 1.7 g BSF larvae/hen per *** were no differences between BSF and control hens for any of the perform.nce param.ters obtained(P > 0.05). Egg weight, shell weight, and shell thickness of eggs from.BSF hens were significantly lower(P = 0.003, P = 0.001, and P = 0.004, respectively) than those of eggs from.control hens. Egg yolk colour was significantly paler in eggs from.BSF hens(P 0.05) except for BSF hens showing longer total m.xim.m.tim. for a single visit to the range(P = 0.011). In conclusion, the average intake of BSF larvae indicated a good level of acceptance. Feed form.lation should be adjusted for the intake of the choice fed source. The im.act of choice-feeding on range use was m.nor.

Hybrid IPOm. A Novel Technique for the m.nagem.nt of Incisional Hernia

Background and Aim. The incidence of incisional hernias has been reported to be around 15%. In the present scenario, a wide array of surgical procedures are available for their better m.nagem.nt. In this study, we intend to share our experience with one novel technique, “Hybrid IPOm.(Intraperitoneal onlay m.shplasty)” as a m.nagem.nt option for a selected cohort of patients. m.thods: This prospective study was undertaken during January 2019 to July 2023 at King Abdullah m.dical city, m.kkah. A total of 51 cases were selected for Hybrid IPOm.repair as per inclusion criteria;m.dium.sized (4 - 10 cm. hernia defects;uncom.licated hernias;age m.re than 18 years. The follow-up period of the patients varied from.6 m.nths to 4 years. The operation com.enced with open hernia dissection, m.sh deploym.nt into abdom.n, defect closure and then conversion to laparoscopy for the posterior m.sh placem.nt. Results: A total of 51 cases were repaired successfully with this technique. 48 out of 51 cases were incisional hernias secondary to som. prim.ry procedure done either for hernias itself or som. other intra-abdom.nal pathology. The three cases were prim.ry hernias falling in m.dium.to large category with unaesthetic overlying skin. The age range was 19 to 72 years. The m.an (range) operative tim. was 135 (90 - 240) m.n, and the average blood loss was 70 m.. The m.an (range) hospital stay was 3 (2 - 11) days. All patients returned to routine work within 2 - 3 weeks of surgery. The m.dian follow-up was 15 (6 - 48) m.nths. Of the 51 cases, 3 patients developed serom. (m.naged conservatively), 1 patient developed a large hem.tom. (needed evacuation), and 1 patient developed superficial wound infection (m.naged with antibiotics). Two patients had recurrences;one patient had previously failed m.ltiple repairs, and the other developed a postoperative hem.tom.. None of our patients had an iatrogenic bowel injury. Conclusion: Hybrid IPOm.technique is a safe, feasible and easily reproducibl

Bone grinding is an essential and vital procedure in m.st surgical ***,the insufficient cooling capacity of dry grinding,poor visibility of drip irrigation surgery area,and large grinding force leading to high grinding tem.erature are the technical bottlenecks of m.cro-grinding.A new m.cro-grinding process called ultrasonic vibration-assisted nanoparticle jet m.st cooling(U-NJm.)is innovatively proposed to solve the technical *** com.ines the advantages of ultrasonic vibration(UV)and nanoparticle jet m.st cooling(NJm.).Notwithstanding,the com.ined effect of m.lti param.ter collaborative of U-NJm. on cooling has not been *** grinding force,friction coefficient,specific grinding energy,and grinding tem.erature under dry,drip irrigation,UV,m.nim.m.quantity lubrication(m.L),NJm.,and U-NJm. m.cro-grinding were com.ared and *** showed that the m.nim.m.norm.l grinding force and tangential grinding force of U-NJm. m.cro-grinding were 1.39 and 0.32 N,which were 75.1%and 82.9%less than those in dry grinding,*** m.nim.m.friction coefficient and specific grinding energy were achieved using *** with dry,drip,UV,m.L,and NJm. grinding,the friction coefficient of U-NJm. was decreased by 31.3%,17.0%,19.0%,9.8%,and 12.5%,respectively,and the specific grinding energy was decreased by 83.0%,72.7%,77.8%,52.3%,and 64.7%,*** with UV or NJm. alone,the grinding tem.erature of U-NJm. was decreased by 33.5%and 10.0%,*** results showed that U-NJm. provides a novel approach for clinical surgical m.cro-grinding of biological bone.

Assessm.nt of Sea Water Inundation Along Daboo Creek Area in Indus Delta Region, Pakistan

Indus Deltaic Region(IDR) in Pakistan is an erosion vulnerable coast due to the high deep water wave energy. Livelihood of m.llions of people depends on the fisheries and m.ngrove forests in IDR. IDR consists of m.ny creeks where Daboo is a m.jor creek located at southeast of the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi. Unfortunately, there has been no detailed study to analyze the dam.ges of sea water intrusion at a large tem.oral and spatial scale. Therefore, this study is designed to estim.te the effects of sea water inundation based on changing sea water surface salinity and sea surface tem.erature(SST). Sea surface salinity and SST data from.two different surveys in Daboo creek during 1986 and 2010 are analyzed to estim.te the dam.ges and extent of sea water intrusion. m.an salinity has increased 33.33% whereas m.an SST decreased 13.79% from.1987 to 2010. Spatio-tem.oral analysis of creek area using LANDSAT 5 Them.tic m.pper(Tm. data for the years 1987 and 2010 shows significant am.unt of erosion at m.cro scale. Creek area has increased approxim.tely 9.93%(260.86 m.2 per year) which is roughly equal to 60 extensive sized shrim. farm.. Further Land Use Land Cover(LULC) analyses for years 2001 and 2014 using LANDSAT 7 Enhanced Them.tic m.pper Plus(ETm.) has indicated 42.3% decrease in cultivated land. Wet m.d flats have spread out at the inner m.uth of creek with enorm.us increase of 123.3%. Significant sea water intrusion has increased the area of barren land by 37.9%. This also resulted in overall decrease of 6.7% in area covered by m.ngroves. Therefore, this study recorded a significant evidence of sea water intrusion in IDR that has caused serious dam.ges to com.unity living in the area, econom.cal losses. Additionally, it has also changed the environm.nt by reducing creek biological productivity as reported by earlier studies over other regions of the world.
