The brain's extracellular m.trix(ECm.,which is com.rised of protein and glycosam.noglycan(GAG)scaffolds,constitutes 20%-40% of the hum.n brain and is considered one of the largest influencers on brain cell functioning(Soles et al.,2023).Synthesized by neural and glial cells,the brain's ECm.regulates a m.riad of hom.ostatic cellular processes,includ.n. neuronal plasticity and firing(m.yata et al.,2012),cation buffering(m.raws ki et al.,2015),and glia-neuron interactions(Anderson et al.,2016).Considering the diversity of functions,d.n.m.c rem.deling of the brain's ECm.indicates that this understudied m.dium.is an active participant in both norm.l physiology and.n.urological diseases.

Application of biopolym.r-m.dified geom.terials in waste disposal practices is gaining wide acceptance due to their superior tensile characteristics and im.roved crack *** is an im.ortant design param.ter which determ.nes the suitability of a m.terial as a liner for construction of engineered *** this,the perm.ability characteristics of sand-bentonite m.xtures am.nded with biopolym.rs was studied using a m.dified-falling head perm.ability apparatus under an accelerated gravity *** distilled water and synthetic leachate were utilized as perm.ant liquid to assess the role of biopolym.r am.ndm.nt on the perm.ation behavior of sand-bentonite *** results indicate that addition of biopolym.rs causes aggregation of the clay platelets,which in turn enhances the perm.ation behavior of the biopolym.r-m.dified sand-bentonite *** m.xtures m.et the regulatory requirem.nt of the liner.

Synthesis of ***（0.5-x）Fe204 nanoparticles with x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 were realized via coprecipitation m.thod. X-ray diffraction （XRd） and vibrating sam.le m.gnetom.ter （VSm. m.asurem.nts were perform.d on the sam.les to determ.ne the characteristics of the crystal structures and the m.gnetic properties of the sam.les, respectively. The spinel phase structures of the sam.les were confirm.d by XRd analysis. Patterns of decreased lattice param.ter and increased crystallite size values were observed by increasing the Li concentration at longer synthesis reaction periods. Sim.larly, for the m.gnetic properties, both the saturation m.gnetization （m.） and coercivity （Hc） were found to vary with increasing patterns at higher Li doping levels and longer synthesis reaction periods. The results and m.chanism. concerned were discussed.

Hippocam.al neuronal loss causes cognitive dysfunction in Alzheim.r’s *** hippocam.al neurogenesis is reduced in patients with Alzheim.r’s *** stim.lates adult hippocam.al neurogenesis in rod.n.s and im.roves m.m.ry and slows cognitive decline in patients with Alzheim.r’s ***,the m.lecular pathways for exercise-induced adult hippocam.al neurogenesis and im.roved cognition in Alzheim.r’s disease are poorly ***,regulator of G protein signaling 6(RGS6)was id.n.ified as the m.diator of voluntary running-induced adult hippocam.al neurogenesis in ***,we generated.n.vel RGS6fl/fl;APP_(SWE) m.ce and used retroviral approaches to exam.ne the im.act of RGS6 deletion from.d.n.ate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells on voluntary running-induced adult hippocam.al neurogenesis and cognition in an am.loid-based Alzheim.r’s disease m.use *** found that voluntary running in APP_(SWE) m.ce restored their hippocam.al cognitive im.airm.nts to that of control *** cognitive rescue was abolished by RGS6 deletion in d.n.ate gyrus neuronal progenitor cells,which also abolished running-m.diated increases in adult hippocam.al *** hippocam.al neurogenesis was reduced in sed.n.ary APP_(SWE) m.ce versus control m.ce,with basal adult hippocam.al neurogenesis reduced by RGS6 deletion in d.n.ate gyrus neural precursor ***6 was expressed in neurons within the d.n.ate gyrus of patients with Alzheim.r’s disease with significant loss of these RGS6-expressing ***,RGS6 m.diated voluntary running-induced rescue of im.aired cognition and adult hippocam.al neurogenesis in APP_(SWE) m.ce,id.n.ifying RGS6 in d.n.ate gyrus neural precursor cells as a possible therapeutic target in Alzheim.r’s disease.

We em.loy a layer-by-layer adsorption technique for deposition on solid substrates of polyionic film. of Chicago Sky Blue. Film.growth was significant with the increasing num.er of layers. Photochem.cal properties of these film. are investigated for different ionic concentrations. A significant blue shift is observed with the increasing ionic strength of the solution, suggesting the form.tion of aggregation. Tem.erature effect studies show som. preferable reorientation of m.lecules in the film.during cooling process. m.st rem.rkable observation is that the absorption intensity is the highest for a particular degree of inclination. deposition tim. is fixed at 15rain because adsorption kinetics results show saturation after 15 m.n.

The abstraction of com.lex biological lightweight structure features into a producible technical com.onent is a funda- m.ntal step within the transfer of design principles from.nature to technical lightweight solutions. A m.jor obstacle for the transfer of natural lightweight structures to technical solutions is their peculiar geom.try. Since natural lightweight structures possess irregularities and often have extrem.ly com.lex form. due to elaborate growth processes, it is usually necessary to sim.lify their design principles. This step of sim.lification/abstraction has been used in different biom.m.tic m.thods, but so far, it has an arbitrary com.onent, i.e. it crucially depends on the com.etence of the person who executes the abstraction. This paper describes a new m.thod for abstraction and specialization of natural m.cro structures for technical lightweight com.o- nents. The new m.thod generates stable lightweight design principles by using topology optim.zation within a design space of preselected biological archetypes such as diatom. or radiolarian. The resulting solutions are adapted to the technical load cases and production processes, can be created in a large variety, and m.y be further optim.zed e.g. by using param.tric optim.zation.
