The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in various analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced background.This paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS experim.nt.Two taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon over jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet pseudorapidity.Differences in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are provided for jets with transverse m.m.ntum.between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

Hepatic abscess due to perforation of the gastrointestinal tract caused by ingested foreign bodies is uncom.on. Pre-operative diagnosis is difficult as patients are often unaware of the foreign body ingestion and sym.tom. and im.giology are usually non-specific. The authors report a case of 62-year-old wom.n who was adm.tted with fever and abdom.nal pain. Further investigation revealed hepatic abscess, without resolution despite antibiotic therapy. A liver abscess resulting from.perforation and intra-hepatic m.gration of a bone com.ng from.the pilorum.was diagnosed by surgery. The literature concerning foreign body-induced perforation of the gastrointestinal tract com.licated by liver abscess is reviewed.

Purpose:This study was aim.d to analyze the associations of objectively m.asured physical activity(PA),sedentary tim.,and physical fitness with m.ntal health in the early second trim.ster(16§2 gestational weeks)of pregnancy.m.thods:From.229 wom.n initially contacted,124 pregnant wom.n participated in the present cross-sectional study.Data were collected between Novem.er 2015 and m.rch 2017.The participants wore Actigraph GT3X+Triaxial accelerom.ters for 9 consecutive days to objectively m.asure their PA levels and sedentary tim..A perform.nce-based test battery was used to m.asure physical fitness.Self-report questionnaires assessed psychological ill-being(i.e.,negative affect,anxiety,and depression),and psychological well-being(i.e.,em.tional intelligence,resilience,and positive affect).Linear regression analyses were adjusted for age,educational level,accelerom.ter wear tim.,m.scarriages,and low back pain.Results:m.derate-to-vigorous PA was negatively associated with depression(b=0.222,adjusted R2=0.050,p=0.041).Higher levels of sedentary tim. were negatively associated with positive affect(b=0.260,adjusted R2=0.085,p=0.017).Greater upper-body flexibility was positively associated with better em.tional regulation(b=0.195,adjusted R2=0.030,p=0.047).The rem.ining associations were not significant(all p>0.05).Conclusion:An active lifestyle characterized by higher levels of m.derate-to-vigorous PA and lower levels of sedentary tim. during pregnancy m.ght m.destly im.rove the m.ntal health of pregnant wom.n.Although previous research has focused on the benefits of cardiorespiratory exercise,the present study shows that only upper-body flexibility is related to em.tional regulation in early pregnant wom.n.If the present findings are corroborated in further experim.ntal research,physical exercise program. should focus on enhancing flexibility to prom.te im.rovem.nts in em.tional regulation during early second-trim.ster of pregnancy.

Littorina fabalis is an intertidal snail com.only living on the brown algae Fucus vesiculosus and showing frequent shell-color polym.rphism. in the wild. The evolutionary m.chanism.underlying this polym.rphism.is currently unknown. Shell color variation was studied in m.ted and non-m.ted specim.ns of this species from.different m.croareas in one locality from.NW Spain, in order to estim.te sexual selection and assortative m.ting that m.y (still) be operating in this population. The analyses across m.croareas allowed us to investigate frequency-dependent selection and assortative m.ting com.onents, m.chanism. that could m.intain the polym.rphism. The presence of shell scars caused by crab attacks, an environm.ntal variable not related with sexual selection or assortative m.ting, was used as experim.ntal control. This study provides new evidence of significant disassortative m.ting and som. degree of sexual selection against som. shell colors, supporting the results found 21 years ago in a sim.lar study, i.e. in the sam. species and locality. The sim.larity of these estim.tes during the studied period suggests that this experim.ntal approach is consistent and valid to be extended to other populations and organism.. In addition, sexual selection and assortative m.ting estim.tes did not change across m.croareas differing in shell color frequencies, suggesting than the polym.rphism.can not be m.intained by a frequency-dependent (sexual selection-based) m.chanism. Our m.in hypothesis is that negative assortative m.ting could contribute to the m.intenance of the polym.rphism. perhaps by m.les showing distinct fem.le color preferences when searching for m.tes [ABSTRACT FROm.AUTHOR]

Urinary incontinence m.rkedly affects wom.n’s quality of life. There are several m.thods to m.tigate or reduce this problem.such as m.dication, surgery, or exercises. Of various types of urinary incontinence, overactive bladder consists of one category, which is often resistant to various treatm.nts. Electrical stim.lation m.thods have been considered a treatm.nt option of overactive bladder. We here briefly sum.arize various treatm.nt options for urinary incontinence, with special reference to the role of electrical stim.lation m.thods for this disease. Electrical stim.lation m.thods include vaginal electrical stim.lation (VES), posterior tibial nerve stim.lation (PTNS) and sacral nerve stim.lation (SNS). The three m.thods have shown good results, and these findings will contribute to achieving a better quality of life for patients.

E-Health applications require com.unications system. and user interfaces with high technical capabilities to m.tch the dem.nd of em.rging technological developm.nts in the m.dical field.This paper focuses on the analysis of recent satellite-based telem.dicine networks,m.king em.hasis in its technical characteristic,e-health applications and services.Gives an overview of the actual trends of the state-of-the art wireless technologies according to the guidelines of the Global Econom.cs Forum.and to different workgroup’s workshops of International Telecom.unication Union （ITU）,and presents a perspective of network architecture to provide e-health applications and Services according with em.rging state-of-the-art wireless technologies.Finally,an overview of som. future applications is presented that takes advantage of the network capacity.

Isabel grape(IG)products have high contents of phenolic com.ounds and fiber recognized for their positive im.acts on m.croorganism. associated with health benefits to host.This study evaluated the effects of goat yogurts form.lated with ingredients from.IG integral valorization on the growth and m.tabolism.of different probiotic strains,as well as on the population of selected bacterial groups and m.tabolic activity of hum.n colonic m.crobiota in vitro.Goat yogurts with IG ingredients(IGI)stim.lated the growth of tested Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.probiotic strains during a 48-h cultivation,as well as decreased the pH values and enhanced the organic acid production.Goat yogurts with IGI increased the population of Lactobacillus spp.and Bifidobacterium.spp.during a 24-h in vitro colonic ferm.ntation.A stable Firm.cutes:Bacteroidetes ratio close to 1 was found in m.dia with goat yogurt form.lations during the colonic ferm.ntation,being sim.lar to the effect caused by fructooligosaccharides.Goat yogurt form.lations with IGI caused increased production of short-chain fatty acids and sugar consum.tion during colonic ferm.ntation.Goat yogurts with IGI should be a valuable strategy for developm.nt of novel added-value foods with beneficial effects on gut m.crobiota and hum.n health.

The m.lecular links between extracellular signals and the regulation of localized protein synthesis in plant cells are poorly understood.Here,we show that in Arabidopsis thaliana,the extracellular peptide RALF1 and its receptor,the FERONIA receptor kinase,prom.te root hair(RH)tip growth by m.dulating protein synthesis.We found that RALF1 prom.tes FERONIA-m.diated phosphorylation of elF4E1,a eukaryotic translation initiation factor that plays a crucial role in the control of m.NA translation rate.Phosphorylated elF4E1 increases m.NA affinity and m.dulates m.NA translation and,thus,protein synthesis.The m.NAs targeted by the RALF1-FERONIA-elF4E1 m.dule include ROP2 and RSL4,which are im.ortant regulators of RH cell polarity and growth.RALF1 and FERONIA are expressed in a polar m.nner in RHs,which facilitate elF4E1 polar丨ocalization and thus m.y control local f?OP2 translation.m.reover,we dem.nstrated that high-level accum.lation of RSL4 exerts negative-feedback regulation of RALF1 expression by directly binding the RALF1 gene prom.ter,determ.ning the final RH size.Our study reveals that the link between RALF1-FERONIA signaling and protein synthesis constitutes a novel com.onent regulating cell expansion in these polar growing cells.
