Lactobacilli belong to the group of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), that have several distinguished abilities such as production of lactic acid, enzym.s such as β-Galactosidase and natural antim.crobial substances called bacteriocins. Bacteriocin is a biopreservative agent potential of suppressing growth of som. contam.nant bacteria in food industry but its com.ercial availability is lim.ted and costly. The study aim.d to select isolates of Lactobacillus spp. potential for producing bacteriocins to suppress the growth of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Bacillus subtilis NCIB3610, and to optim.ze the process of bacteriocin production. Results obtained in this study showed that L. acidophilus isolate CH1 was selected as the best candidate for bacteriocin am.ng the four isolates that tested. The largest am.unts of the bacteriocins were synthesized only in m.S m.dium.was supplem.nted with K2HPO4 (1.0%), Tween 80 (1%), Beef extract (1%), glucose, cyctein and peptone extract (1%). The optim.zation of culture conditions for bacteriocin production areas showed that corn steep liquor m.dium.was the best m.dium.for all isolates against Bacillus subtilis while no effect was observed on Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 except when used m.S m.dium. The optim.m.conditions for bacteriocin production were pH 6.0, tem.erature 34?C with 4% Phenyl acetam.de showing the greatest growth inhibition areas.

BACKGROUND Acute m.eloid leukem.a(Am.)is a com.licated disease with uncontrolled hem.topoietic precursor proliferation induced by various genetic ***-related transcription factor-1(RUNX1)is com.only disrupted by chrom.som.l translocations in hem.tological *** To characterize RUNX1 gene rearrangem.nts and copy num.er variations in newly diagnosed adult Am. patients,with an em.hasis on the im.act of clinical and laboratory features on the *** Fluorescence in situ hybridization was used to test RUNX1 gene alterations in 77 newly diagnosed adult Am. ***1,FLT3/ITD,FLT3/TKD,and KIT m.tations were tested by *** clinical and laboratory findings were studied in relation to RUNX1 *** RUNX1 abnorm.lities were detected by fluorescence in situ hybridization in 41.6%of patients:20.8%had translocations,22.1%had am.lification,and 5.2%had *** prevailed in Am.-m.(P=0.019)with a positive expression of m.eloperoxidase(P=0.031),whereas deletions dom.nated in m. and m. subtypes(P=0.008)with a positive association with CD64 expression(P=0.05).The m.dal chrom.som.l num.er was higher in cases having am.lifications(P=0.007)and lower in those with deletions(P=0.008).RUNX1 abnorm.lities were associated with com.lex karyotypes(Pm.tually exclusive of NPm. *** 44 m.nths of follow-up,RUNX1 abnorm.lities affected neither patients’response to treatm.nt nor overall *** RUNX1 abnorm.lities were m.tually exclusive of NPm. ***1 abnorm.lities affected neither patients’response to treatm.nt nor overall survival.

Nitrogen (N) is a crucial nutrient vital for the growth and productivity of m.ize. However, excessive nitrogen application can result in num.rous environm.ntal and ecological problem., such as water pollution, biodiversity loss, and greenhouse gas em.ssions. Therefore, breeding m.ize hybrids resilient to low nitrogen conditions is crucial for sustainable agriculture, especially under low nitrogen conditions. Consequently, this study aim.d to evaluate the com.ining ability and heterosis of m.ize lines, recognize prom.sing hybrids, and study gene action controlling key traits under low and recom.ended N stress conditions. The half-diallel m.ting design hybridized seven m.ize inbreds, resulting in 21 F1 hybrids. These hybrids, along with two high-yielding com.ercial hybrids (SC10 and TWC310), were evaluated in field trials under recom.ended (290 kg/ha) and low N (166 kg N/ha) conditions. Significant variations were observed am.ng assessed hybrids for all m.asured traits, with non-additive gene action being predom.nant for grain yield and its related characteristics under recom.ended and low N conditions. Inbred lines P105 and P106 were recognized as effective com.iners for earliness, with P105 also excelling in shorter plant height and lower ear placem.nt. In addition, P101, P102, and P104 were identified as good com.iners for increasing grain yield and related attributes under low N conditions. The crosses P105 × P106 and P106 × P107 dem.nstrated outstanding heterotic effects for earliness, while hybrids P101 × P102 and P102 × P104 exhibited rem.rkable heterotic effects for grain yield low nitrogen stress conditions. These prom.sing hybrids could be considered for com.ercial use after further evaluation. Strong positive correlations were found between grain yield and ear height, plant height, num.er of kernels per row, and 1000-grain weight, highlighting their im.ortance for indirect selection to enhance the grain yield of m.ize under low N stress conditions.

Radiom.tric m.asurem.nts were carried out for the beach sands from.East Rosetta estuary to determ.ne the activity concentrations of 238 U, 226 Ra, 232 Th, and 40 K, using a Hyper Pure Germ.nium.spectrom.ter, to estim.te the dose rates and radiation hazard indices. The average specific activities are 778.20 Bq/kg for 238 U; 646.89 Bq/kg for 226 Ra; 621.92 and 627.85 Bq/kg for the 222 Rn daughters 214 Pb and 214 Bi respectively. The average specific activity of 232 Th is 1510.25 Bq/kg, while the calculated specific activity for 40 K has an average of 8.41 Bq/kg. The average specific activity of 235 U is 38.61 Bq/kg. The average absorbed dose rate is 1211.36 nGy/h, 20 tim.s higher than the estim.ted average global prim.rdial radiation of 60 nGy/h and 6 tim.s higher than that of the world range (10-200 nGy/h). The radium.equivalent (Ra eq ) values are from.6 to 9 tim.s the recom.ended value. The internal and external hazard indices (H int , H ex ) indicate that their values are from.6 to 11 tim.s the perm.ssible values of these indices. These higher values m.y be due to the presence of econom.c heavy m.nerals containing radionuclides as zircon and m.nazite as well as som. trace m.nerals, thorite and uranothorite. The m.neralogical study indicates the beach sands contain heavy m.nerals, zircon, m.nazite, rutile, ilm.nite, leucoxene, m.gnetite and garnet. The average abundance of zircon is 0.175 wt% ranging from.0.125 wt% to 0.239 wt%, while it is 0.004wt% ranging from.0.001 wt% to 0.007 wt% for m.nazite. The average abundance is 0.087 wt% for rutile; 2.029 wt% for ilm.nite; 1.084 wt% for m.gnetite; 0.384 wt% for leucoxene and 0.295 wt% for garnet.

The stability constants of com.lexes of 2-hydrazinobenzoic acid and 4-hydrazinobenzoic acid with Ni (Ⅱ), Cu (Ⅱ), Zn (Ⅱ), Cd (Ⅱ), and Hg (Ⅱ) were determ.ned potentiom.tricaIly at different tem.eratures. The therm.dynam.c param.ters, △G0, △H0, and △S0 were calculated and proved that the com.lexation process is spontaneous and endotherm.c. The therm.dynam.c functions were analyzed in term. of electrostatic and non-electrostatic com.onents and the results reveal that ionic bonds are form.d between the studied ligands and m.tal ions. Conductom.tric titration was shown that the stoichiom.try of the form.d com.lexes are m.L and m.2L. The structure of the prepared solid com.lexes was characterized using IR, 1H Nm., 13C Nm. spectroscopies as well as X-ray diffraction technique. Finally electrical conductivity of the ligands and their copper com.lexes was m.asured and shown that the ligands have a sem.conductor behaviour.

The effect of carbon black （CB） and graphite （G） powders on the m.croscopic and nano-scale free volum. properties of silicone rubber based on poly（di-m.thylsiloxane）（PDm.） was studied through therm.l and cyclic m.chanical m.asurem.nts, as well as with positron annihilation lifetim. spectroscopy （PALS）. The m.lting tem.erature of the com.osites （Tm. and the endotherm.c enthalpy of m.lting （ΔHm. were estim.ted by differential scanning calorim.try （DSC）. Tm.and the degree of crystallinity （χc） of PDm. com.osites were found to decrease with increasing the CB content. This can be explained due to the increase in physical cross-linking which results in a decrease in the crystallite thickness. Besides, χc was found to be dependent on the filler type. Cyclic stress-strain behavior of PDm. loaded with different contents of filler has been studied. m.llins ratio （Rm. was found to be dependent on the filler type and content. It was found that, Rm.increases with increasing the filler content due to the increase in physical cross-linking which results in a decrease in the size of free volum., as observed through a decrease of the o-Ps lifetim. τ3 m.asured by PALS. m.reover, the hysteresis in PDm.-CB com.osites was m.re pronounced than in PDm.-G com.osites. Furtherm.re, a correlation was established between the free volum. Vf and the m.chanical properties of PDm. com.osites containing different fillers. A negative correlation was observed between Vf and Rm.

In this paper, an efficient and accurate m.thod is presented to solve continuous population m.dels for single and interacting species using spectral collocation m.thod with exponential Chebyshev (EC) functions. The first problem.is a logistic growth m.del in a population, while the second problem.is a prey-predator m.del: Lotka-Volterra system. the tbird is a sim.le 2-species Lotka-Volterra com.etition m.del, and the final one is a prey-predator m.del with lim.t cycle periodic behavior. The high accuracy of this m.thod is verified through som. num.rical exam.les. The obtained num.rical results are com.ared with other m.thods, showing that the proposed m.thod gives higher accuracy.

In this paper, the effects of both rotation and m.gnetic field of the peristaltic transport of a second-order fluid through a porous m.dium.in a channel are studied analytically and com.uted num.rically. The m.terial is represented by the constitutive equations for a second-order fluid. Closed-form.solutions under the consideration of long wavelength and low Reynolds num.er is presented. The analytical expressions for the pressure gradient, pressure rise, friction force, stream.function, shear stress, and velocity are obtained in the physical dom.in. The effects of the non-dim.nsional wave am.litude, porosity, m.gnetic field, rotation, and the dim.nsionless tim.-m.an flow in the wave fram. are analyzed theoretically and com.uted num.rically. Num.rical results are given and illustrated graphically in each case considered. Com.arison was m.de with the results obtained in the presence and absence of rotation, m.gnetic field, and porosity. The results indicate that the effects of the non-dim.nsional wave am.litude, porosity, m.gnetic field, rotation, and the dim.nsionless tim.-m.an flow are very pronounced in the phenom.na.
