The a.unda.ce of broa.-lea.ed weeds in pea.ut fields represents the ha.dica. in weed m.na.em.nt progra.0}, since lim.ted specific herbicides ca. be recom.ended to control them. m.reover, the physio-biochem.ca. constituents a.d nutritiona. sta.us in pea.ut pla.ts a. a.fected by a.a.la.le herbicides, i.e., benta.one under wa.er stress conditions a.e not well known. Therefore, field tria.s were conducted during the growing sea.ons in 2016 a.d 2017 to investiga.e the intera.tiona. im.a.t of irriga.ion levels(I_(50), I_(75) a.d I_(100), representing irriga.ion by 50%, 75% a.d 100% of crop eva.otra.spira.ion, respectively) a.d weed control pra.tices(benta.one, benta.one+hoeing once, hoeing twice a.d weedy check a. control) on dom.na.t broa.-lea.ed weeds a. well a. pea.ut physiologica. a.d a.ronom.c tra.ts. Result indica.ed tha. the efficiency of weed control for ea.h weeded trea.m.nt under I_(50) significa.tly equa.ed with its counterpa.t under I_(75) or I_(100). Benta.one+hoeing once dim.nished weed biom.ss by 89.3% a.d enha.ced chlorophyll content of pea.ut pla.ts by 51.2%. Benta.one rela.ively ca.sed a.reduction in ca.otenoides. Hoeing twice a.d benta.one+hoeing once under I_(100) in both growing sea.ons a. well a. hoeing twice under I_(75) in 2017 were the superior com.ina.ions for boosting pod yield of pea.ut pla.ts. Trea.m.nt of benta.one+hoeing once a.d I_(75) recorded the lowest reduction in N utiliza.ion percenta.e a.d the highest increa.e in pota.sium.utiliza.ion percenta.e of pea.ut pla.ts. Elim.na.ing weeds enha.ced wa.er use efficiency by 37.8%, 49.6% a.d 34.7% under I_(50), I_(75) a.d I_(100), respectively. In conclusion, pea.ut seem. to be tolera.t to benta.one a. m.dera.e wa.er supply, thus it ca. be sa.ely used in controlling the a.socia.ed broa.-lea.ed weeds.

The effect of ra.e ea.th oxides （RE=Ce, La. Gd, a.d Dy） doping of a.um.na.support in NiO/7-a.203 system.wa. investi- ga.ed on its ca.a.ytic perform.nce in oxida.ive dehydrogena.ion （ODH） of cyclohexa.e. The physicochem.ca. properties of va.ious sa.0}les were followed up through N2 physisorption, tem.era.ure progra.0}ed reduction （H2-TPR）, X-ra. diffra.tion （XRD）, X-ra. photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） a.d potentiom.tric a.id-ba.e titra.ion techniques. In the pa.ent NiO/y-a.203 ca.a.yst, Ni species were found to be strongly intera.ted with a.um.na.surfa.e. a.dition of ra.e ea.th dopa.ts to ）＇-a.203 in the ca.a.yst system.a.fected the nickel-a.um.na.intera.tion a.d resulted in significa.t m.difica.ions in the ca.a.ytic perform.nces in the ODH rea.tion. The results re- vea.ed the beneficia. role of both La.03 a.d Gd2Os doping in enha.cing the ODH ca.a.ytic a.tivity a.d selectivity to cyclohexene. H2-TPR a.d XPS results indica.ed tha. m.jority of Ni species in NiO/La.03 m.dified T-a.203 were m.re wea.ly intera.ted with La.03 a.d a.um.na.wherea. both NiO like species a.d nickel a.um.na.e were present on the surfa.e. Doping with cerium.or dyspro- sium.increa.ed the nickel-support intera.tion a.d led to a.decrea.e in surfa.e nickel concentra.ion. In ca.e of doping with Ce, surfa.e concentra.ion of cerium.oxide wa. higher tha. those of the other RE oxides; the doped ca.a.yst rea.hed its stea.y sta.e a.tivity fa.ter tha. the other ca.a.ysts. The a.id-ba.e results suggested tha. RE m.ta.s were intera.ted m.st likely with a.idic surfa.e hydroxyl groups. In this study, na.ocrysta.line Co-Ni-m. ferrite powders with com.osition Coo.5Nio.5-xm.xFe2O4 a.e successfully synthesized by the co-precipita.ion m.thod. a.system.tic investiga.ion on the structura., m.rphologica. a.d m.gnetic properties of un-doped a.d m.-doped Co-Ni ferrite na.opa.ticles is ca.ried out. The prepa.ed sa.0}les a.e cha.a.terized using x-ra. diffra.tion （XRD） a.a.ysis, Fourier tra.sform.infra.ed spectroscopy （FTIR）, field em.ssion sca.ning electron m.croscopy （FESEm., a.d vibra.ing sa.0}le m.gnetom.try （VSm.. The XRD a.a.yses of the synthesized sa.0}les confirm.the form.tion of single-pha.e cubic spinel structures with crysta.lite sizes in a.ra.ge of - 32 nm.to - 36 nm. The la.- tice consta.t increa.es with increa.ing m. content. FESEm.im.ges show tha. the synthesized sa.0}les a.e hom.geneous with a.uniform.y distributed gra.n. The results of IR spectroscopy a.a.ysis indica.e the form.tion of functiona. groups of spinel ferrite in the co-precipita.ion process. By increa.ing m.2- substitution, room.tem.era.ure m.gnetic m.a.urem.nt shows tha. m.xim.m.m.gnetiza.ion a.d coercivity increa.e from.- 57.35 em./g to - 61.49 em./g a.d - 603.26 Oe to 684.11 Oe （l Oe = 79.5775 a.m.l）, respectively. The higher va.ues of m.gnetiza.ion m. a.d m. suggest tha. the opti- m.m.com.osition is Co0.5Ni0.4m.0.1Fe204 tha. ca. be a.plied to high-density recording m.dia.a.d m.crowa.e devices.

The osm.tic pressure represented a. a.sign of pla.t tolera.ce or sensitive to sa.inity stress. In the following pla.ts, the increa.e in OP seem. to be a.m.nner of defense m.cha.ism.to survive. OP increa.ed in shoots of m.ize, shoot a.d root of whea. a.d cotton pla.ts wa. concom.ta.t with shoot soluble suga., root soluble protein a.d shoot a.d root a.0}no a.ids of m.ize pla.ts. However, in whea. the increa.e in OP wa. rela.ed with increa.e of root soluble suga. a.d protein of shoots a.d roots. In cotton pla.ts, the eleva.ion of OP wa. run pa.a.lel with increa.e soluble suga. of shoots a.d roots, shoot soluble protein a.d root a.0}no a.ids. The increa.e in OP wa. rela.ed with a.m.rked a.d significa.t reduction in the wa.er content of these pla.ts. However, the decrea.e in OP of shoot a.d root of broa. bea. wa. rela.ed with the reduction of shoots a.d roots soluble suga., protein a.d root a.0}no a.ids of broa. bea.. While the OP becom.s m.re or less uncha.ged in shoots a.d tended to decrea.e in root of pa.sley pla.ts, this concom.ta.t with uncha.ged trend in the shoots a.0}no a.ids a.d reduction in root soluble suga. a.d root a.0}no a.ids. Run with previous trend va.ues of OP a.d m.ta.olites of pa.sley pla.ts were rela.ed with sta.le va.ues in shoot wa.er content a.d reduction in root wa.er content. With Ga.sub>3 a.d kinetin trea.m.nts m.stly increa.e the va.ues OP which pa.a.lel with increa.e a.d soluble suga., soluble protein a.d a.0}no a.ids contents of shoots a.d roots of m.ize, whea., cotton, broa. bea. a.d pa.sley pla.ts with Na.l increa.ing. This rela.ed with increa.e wa.er upta.e by roots in these pla.ts. The results indica.ed tha. kinetin ha. a.m.re effective to shoot m.ize, both orga.s of whea., broa. bea. a.d pa.sley pla.ts in response to sa.inity stress while Ga.sub>3 wa. m.re effective on cotton pla.ts especia.ly a. higher levels of sa.inity.
