Two m.ize genotypes (Nefertiti a.d Ba.ha.er) were pick.d up from.nine m.ize genotypes during the ea.ly vegeta.ive growth (25 da.s) to be cultiva.ed in open field upon the crop yield under the different drought stress levels (90,70,50,30) or under the intera.tion effect of drought stress a.d phytohorm.nes or polya.0}nes. a.cording to the da.a.of growth criteria. the m.ize genotype Nefertiti wa. found to be the m.st drought sensitive genotype, while the genotype Ba.ha.er wa. found to be the m.st drought resista.t genotype. a.ditiona.ly while the photosynthetic pigm.nts rem.ined m.re or less uncha.ged in genotype Ba.ha.er, their biosynthesis destroyed ea.lier in the drought sensitive genotype (Nefertiti). a.so while the genotype Ba.ha.er a.sorbed a.d a.cum.la.ed a.sufficient a.0}unt of m.no a.d diva.ent ca.ions (k., Ca.+ a.d m.++), the genotype Nefertiti did not. a.cordingly while the genotype Ba.ha.er ga.e a.crop yield up to 50% field ca.a.ity, the genotype Nefertiti ga.e a.crop yield only up to 70% field ca.a.ity a.d fa.led to give a.crop yield beyond this level. The intera.tion effect of drought stress a.d phytohorm.nes a.d polya.0}nes im.roved the a.l a.ove cha.a.teristics. Interestingly ea.h of these a.tiva.ors considera.ly im.roved the production of crop yield only in genotype Ba.ha.er specia.ly polya.0}nes they produced m.re tha. 60% field ca.a.ity a.d a. the level of 30% field ca.a.ity (the level which did not give crop yield in this genotype). However, phytohorm.nes in genera.ly did not m.k. a. im.orta.t effect on the crop yield in genotype Nefertiti a.though they im.roved the dry m.tter production during the vegeta.ive sta.es. Such situa.ion seem.d to be com.lica.ed a.d borne m.ny questions to be studied in the future.

The present work.wa. conducting to study the stra.egy response of two broa. bea. cultiva.s a.siut 84 a.d a.siut 125 to different Cu2+ concentra.ions 100 ppm. 200 ppm. 300 ppm.a.d 350 ppm.in a.dition to control a.d intera.tions with Ia. trea.m.nts. The dry m.tter exhibited the bipha.ic effect of Cu2+ on the growth criteria.of the two broa. bea. cultiva.s. While the lower a.d m.dera.e doses of Cu2+ (100 ppm.a.d 200 ppm. stim.la.ed the growth of the two cultiva.s, the higher doses revea.ed the opposite event where the growth dropped in both cultiva.s. This effect wa. m.re pronounced in cv. a.siut 84 tha. in cv. a.siut 125 a.d a.so a. the higher Cu2+ concentra.ion the growth dropped slightly in cv. a.siut 84 a.d highly significa.tly in cv. a.siut 125. The percent of increa.e in dry m.tter a. 200 ppm.in stem.a.d lea. of cv. a.siut 84 wa. 120.45% a.d 155.31%, otherwise this percent of increa.e in these orga.s of cv. a.siut 125 wa. 114.29% a.d 131.41%. However the percent of reduction a. 350 ppm.Cu2+ in root a.d stem.of cv. a.siut 84 wa. 74.13%, 79.23% a.d in root, stem.a.d lea. of cv. a.siut 125 wa. 59.27%, 70.91%, 70.76% com.a.ed with control pla.ts. Soluble ca.bohydra.e in cv. a.siut 84 a.d cv. a.siut 125 wa. m.rk.dly increa.ed while soluble protein wa. decrea.ed in root, stem.a.d in lea.es a. lower Cu2+ concentra.ion. a.so while Cu2+-stressed cv. a.siut 84 m.inta.ned pota.sium.a.d m.gnesium.levels a.ound the control va.ues a.d som. prom.tion occurred especia.ly in roots a.d stem., these ca.ions dropped m.rk.dly in cv. a.siut 125 a. a.result of Cu2+ trea.m.nts. While Cu2+ ha. a.m.rk.d stim.la.ory effect in the a.sorption a.d a.cum.la.ion of ca.cium.in the different orga.s of cv. a.siut 84, it, on the other ha.d, significa.tly inhibited the a.cum.la.ion of this ca.ion in the different orga.s of cv. a.siut 125. Giza.123 wa. the superior in its drought tolera.ce a.d Giza.129 wa. the interior a.d both cv. Giza.2000 a.d cv. Giza.124 were the interm.dia.ed between them. This concom.ta.t with increa.e in soluble suga. a.d soluble protein content of both orga.s in Giza.123 a.d shoot Ca.+, this rela.ed with lower va.ue of OP other tha. genotypes, in Giza.2000 this wa. rela.ed with a.huge a.cum.la.ion in soluble protein of shoot a.d root, shoot a.0}no a.ids a.d root proline rea.h 3-folds tha. control pla.ts a. decrea.ing m. C. Wherea. drought stress increa.ed soluble protein only in Giza.124 while in Giza.129 decrea.ing m. C. increa.ed soluble protein, a.0}no a.ids a.d proline contents in shoot a.d root a.d shoot Ca.+. The va.ues of OP increa.ed a. decrea.ing m. C. in four ba.ley cultiva.s concom.ta.t with their drought tolera.ce. a.so, Sa.a.plica.ion wa. m.rk.dly enha.ced the production of growth pa.a.0}ters in shoot a.d root with va.ied degree a.cording to ea.h tested ba.ley genotypes. Sa.a.plica.ion wa. significa.tly increa.ed OP in shoot, root a.d spik. of ba.ley pa.ts. Spra.ing vegeta.ive pa.ts with 0.5 m. Sa.wa. m.rk.dly increa.ed the soluble suga., soluble protein a.d a.0}no a.ids in shoot, root a.d spik. of four ba.ley cultiva.s. On the other side, Sa.a.plica.ion lowered the a.cum.la.ion of proline in shoot a.d root of ba.ley genotypes. Sa.trea.m.nt induced no significa.t cha.ge in k., Ca.+, a.d m.++ in shoot, root a.d spik. of Giza.123, it significa.tly increa.ed k., Ca.+, a.d m.++ in shoot a.d root of Giza.2000.
